I keep coming back to this guy. All these classical no swing no feel only playing a sheet having ass dudes make me drool from boredom. This dude got it
This is why I always say the piano is the most superior of all instruments because it's the only one that can accompany itself and match a whole orchestra
Found this track on the song bank on my keyboard and love is so much. If I can ever play this with a smidgen of the skill you have I will be a happy man. Awesome stuff
You are fricken a monster player... soulful and spot on... I wish I could be you, as God blessed you with an overabundance of soulfulness and chops...Thanks for sharing it with us non-talent wannabe's LOL...nitram
Mr. Wells, just wanted to state that I love all of the songs you have downloaded to you tube. They are wonderful! I listen to them daily and find great joy in listening to them. Also, since streaming them to my blue ray player, I find the sound on most fantastic, lovely bass tones. You've inspired me to dust off my electronic keyboard, and try to follow along. Thank you so much again...you are the best!
Amazing! I love your rendition of September. It really does it justice! It mellows the song a bit all the while retaining the vibrant energy from the original!
I agree. Who ARE these people who dislike this player's stuff? Did they slip through a wormhole from some evil parallel universe where joy is illegal? Are they insanely jealous and petty?
Do you remember the 21st night of September? Love was changing the minds of pretenders While chasing the clouds away Our hearts were ringing In the key that our souls were singing As we danced in the night Remember how the stars stole the night away Hey hey hey Ba de ya, say do you remember Ba de ya, dancing in September Ba de ya, never was a cloudy day Ba duda, ba duda, ba duda, badu Ba duda, badu, ba duda, badu Ba duda, badu, ba duda My thoughts are with you Holding hands with your heart to see you Only blue talk and love Remember how we knew love was here to stay Now December found the love that we shared in September Only blue talk and love Remember the true love we share today Hey hey hey Ba de ya, say do you remember Ba de ya, dancing in September Ba de…yaa
Thanks Foxy. You're right. This time of year normally feels markedly different because of the change in the weather and the light marking the end of "summer"
The groove to this cover is so disgusting!! I was nodding my head with a that stank face haha! Awesome job man!! As a matter of fact, all your covers have this same amazing groove and feel to it!
Thank you bro I learned how to play this by watching your hand movement and your tutorial. Well done and this is how it is played, once you master it, without thinking. It took me about an hour to get it down fluently, well done and good job breaking down the cords.
I wish you'd do a tutorial for this exact version because of how lovely and full the chords are. I keep trying to get that nice rich sound but its really hard! And all the other tutorials never sound as complex as this one. :)
@epyx88 I've largely given up playing real pianos because they have nowhere near enough bass. I add as much bass to the mix as I can. If you do that then you naturally become very aware of what you're doing with the bass. On Bill Withers 'Lovely Day' I did copy the bass line. I normally just copy important features of the bass line, but if I'm playing without drums I use the bass to create the beat - which a real bass player wouldn't need to do to the same extent.
Thank you Reginald. I know exactly what you mean. I try to represent what is in the drum track through emphasis of chords which fall on the offbeat. It requires a crunchy piano sound to get it to work.
Hi Paul. Thank you for your commend of my "You are the sunshine of the world". Next song i would like to play is September. So i had a look to your tutorial. You play that song very, very nice. Very "powerfull" with amazing rhythm. But i must adapt a bit for the organ. Thanks to help us ... beginners. Thommy
Just found this! im ecstatic!!! thank you soo much! you have the best rendition of anywhere, just been waiting for the day where i could actually see your finger placements from a clear video :)
Great cover Paul...... Yep it's september and it looks like it's gonna rain again & again & again..... The only ray of sunshine this summer is your song... cheers!!... Foxy!!...
Thanks Ljuskica - there is a drum machine built into the keyboard and I used to use it but the problem is that people said it was annoying and I must admit that because it pumps out the same rhythm all throughout the song then it gives a flat feel to everything - so I've largely given up and try to keep the rhythm going just with the filling notes.
One of the greatest TH-cam videos ever!
Wow, that is a compliment indeed. Thank you Dave :)
I keep coming back to this guy. All these classical no swing no feel only playing a sheet having ass dudes make me drool from boredom. This dude got it
Thank you for you comment. I know what you mean about 'wooden' performances which are accurate but not in a state of flow.
I can listen to this all day.
who would've thought that the piano cover for this song is so good?
God Bless Mr. White. He's Celebrating September with my Dad. :')
He transposed the entire song!
Outstanding left hand!! Breathtaking performance
I swear this is for far the best September piano cover I have ever heard on TH-cam, this one just keeps the groovy essence of that music!
Great rendition and R.I.P. Maurice White
“Outstanding performance of Earth Wind and Fire September i like it very much indeed “
HE IS KILLING IT!! I cannot stop watching this!!
I love it. It's genial because you play it like all the orchestra with only your piano !
+Stéphane DELEAU Thank you. This is exactly the effect I always try to get.
Stéphane DELEAU Va falloir travailler ton anglais mon petit Stéphane
@@risitas4917 Hahhah mais bon on a compris l'intention ^^
