  • Lama glama are a type of domesticated camel native to South America, which has long been widely used by the Incas and other natives of the Andes as a beast of burden and meat. The body height of this animal is between 110 and 130 cm. Its weight reaches 130 to 250 kg. Unlike camels, llamas do not have humps, and like most domestic animals, their skin has a combination of different colors, such as white, brown, and black. The shape of the legs and lips of this animal is similar to that of a camel. Llama is used in medical science like dolphin to treat patients and this animal is able to carry up to 30 kg of load. Today, the scope of llama breeding and maintenance has been extended outside of South America, and currently this animal is bred for its wool and meat in America and Europe. The wild type of this animal is called guanaco.
