I tried an IP ConC recipe that was awesome. 1 cup water and 1/2 cup MILK. Think about it. Corn cobs have a naturally produced “milk” when then cob is scraped. We’ve been putting Parmesan on our corn for a while. YUMMMM!
Mix the Garlic Parmesan with the Bacon Cheddar and put them BOTH on the corn. Other options: Weber brand Chili Lime Rub or Old Bay Seasoning (like you'd use in a seafood boil). I find that the popcorn seasonings tend to have way too much salt in them. You can also try any of the mixed salt-free seasoning mixes, and just add your own level of salt at the end. Crazy option: Melted butter, jarred minced garlic, onion powder, Worcestershire Sauce, and blue cheese. Best when served with a nice steak off the grill. My personal favorite: In a blender mix the following: 2 sticks of unsalted butter, melted (Kerry's Irish Gold or Kate's Homemade Butter are the best) 1 tbsp Weber Chili Lime Rub 1 small shallot 4 cloves fresh garlic (or more if you prefer) 8 whole peppercorns 1/4 cup fresh parsley 1/2 cup of "The Stinky Three" (Parmesan, Romano, and Asiago cheese blend) Put the blender on Puree for a few seconds, and then change to Liquefy. As everything blends, the butter should cool a bit and it will eventually resemble a sort of paste. If it's a bit thin, pour it into a bowl and stick it in the fridge for a while. Rub this on your corn and add salt to taste.
Hey Mikey and Aunt Lou. It's always fun to see you in the kitchen together. 1, 2, 3...AWE. Fresh corn is DELICIOUS! I like the sound of garlic and parmesan. Paper towels and paper plates......makes clean up easier!! Love you guys and love to the Crock Posse!❤
In California they sell corn with Mayo, cilantro, so chili powder and so lemon or lime and then tossed in some cotija cheese or you can substitute the mayo for butter either way amazing
Yummy! Challenge for you, cooking crock recipes from the pantry and your frig or freezer with what is on hand. I am trying to come up with some ideas, I have a freezer full and pantry too. Maybe just picking up fresh items as needed.
Yep, cilantro... gooooood stuff! along with white Mexican cheese (Cotija. ...Queso Fresco are good choices). All those with the exception of the caramel flavor go well with your original flavor. Now, if you steam up the corn with just butter and then add the caramel flavor... GOOOD stuff... then if you're really adventurous then shake a little bacon flavor on it. YUMMMMM
I just now found you -- by accident, truth be told. BUT, perhaps I'm not very adventurous, but cheese on corn on the cob? In the immortal words of Julia Sugarbaker, "I don't think so, Carlene." Butter and salt is all I'll ever put on my corn on the cob and it'll be wonderful.
I have never tried sprinkling other flavors on my corn on the cob before, I think yall are on to something here. I will give it a try.. have you tried the white cheddar on it yet? it may be delicious too. thanks for the video
It is AMAZING! Yes, I've tried almost every popcorn shaker flavors there is. Jalapeno is good too and then the white cheddar + Jalapeno is soooo gooood!
Hey, Guys! I'm really enjoying these videos and the recipes - you made my rainy Sunday brighter. Question : I've heard you talk about Aunt Lou alot, but this is the first video I've seen her in. Does she have a channel also? Thanks again for sharing. I can't get out, so videos like this really help me through. From Southern Indiana, God Bless!
Hi Raymond! I do not have my own channel. I just pop in from time to time! I'm Cris' younger sister...aka Addie's Aunt Lou. So glad you enjoy our videos! Isn't Southern Indiana wonderful?! I live down here too!
Just about anywhere, and it'll be in the popcorn section. Sometimes, depending on the movie theater, they'll have a small selection to try on your popcorn there. :)
love the idea of using popcorn seasoning for corn on the cob, can't believe no one has thought of this before.
