- Glamour editor-in-chief Cindi Leive, fashion designer Tracy Reese, fashion activist and former model Bethann Hardison, and contributing fashion critic to The Cut Robin Givhan discuss diversity on the Fashion Week runways.
Great hangout. Thanks Glamour for shinning a light on this subject. Cheers.
terrific panel featuring some of the smartest ladies in the biz-- Bethann, Robin and Tracy! Thx Cindi for hosting
This was so refreshing! I love to watch panels of these topics. I hope to see more diversity on the cover of your magazine as well:)
How about some diversity on the cover of your magazine?
Taylor, who would you like to see?
Great discussion. Hopefully the conversation can continue with even MORE womyn of color as of course diversity on the runway is not just a black/white issue.
Informative discussion.......
I like how these magazines only incorporate "diversity" during "diversity" forums as if minorities don't have opinions or talents outside of the diversity issue.
I feel moved by this discussion. Even outside of the fashion industry, I believe there is room for improvement. There are woman who become icons who pave the way for other individuals, and social media is a pretty great platform for this kind of discussion. Likely, the consumers are also admirers of diversity. I believe when there is little to no diversity, these models become a blur in some fantastic clothes. The models turn into icons when they are diverse, rebels, innovators- people who inspire a lifestyle.
Great discussion.
