I made lots of codes for the original ps1 version. A level mod to acces it if it exists would be an easy thing to do. If possible I am going to try and port my Super God Mode than enables flying without any issues going trough portals and walking on water, not being hit by enemies etc.
On second hand, I can not find the game id's (SCUS-U etc), When using ePSXe with Gameshark Codes that will be needed. I did find most codes but seems a lot of stuff is not even there in this proto-type version. Moonjump, Fast Running, Flying, Infinite Health, Invincibility (Enemies can not touch you) are some of the things I found. Also some strange menu that could be part of a debug, it contains some empty lines so I suspect something is close. I also found that some animations are missing. @FingeredDonut The offsets differ at some points, some are dead on. So I guess some features are simply not there. No I don't think that's right, the textures can be ripped and they look perfectly normal - no trace of the final textures. It's 100% an early design. Furthermore, magazine screenshots that display it as well as versions of the game that have made it onto TH-cam that feature this texture are provably after LXShadow's build (which uses the final texture) and in the latter case provably after the NTSC final build, suggesting it's just a leftover asset that made its way into early PAL releases somehow (perhaps the PAL codebase still had the textures for some reason? The Gnasty that shows in the opening cutscene is not the same object so it would not have to use the same object texture, especially since it was added after Gnasty's texture was initially changed to his final one). On top of that these early PAL versions feature more differences than just the changed texture so there's definitely another version out there.

Took me awhile to figure out what memory address with for the level ID is set with Cheat Engine but somebody in a Spyro speedrunning Discord found a good method.
The level ID changes based on what level you're currently in. You can track it down by going to a levels with a known ID (Artisans ID is 10, Stone Hill is 11, etc). Changing the value it before entering a portal will take you to that level instead.
SpyroPS1iscool Since Sonic got his 2 prototypes last year (Sonic CD & Sonic 3) And the Crash 3 Alpha last year. I think it’s Spyros turn.
@@Hwd405 Do you have a list of all the levels as Hex? or a cheat table. I am turning everything into gameshark.
Spyruuuuu
You mean it's first old version spyro yes?
how are you getting to twilight/gnasty? what codes?
I use cheat engine
@@Hwd405 we.tl/t-zibUnheDyb maybe these codes are of some use. (ePSXe 2.0.5 used) I am a very active Spyro hacker, I don't know the scus id (ELF) it's not on the disc image, else I would have made some gameshark codes. I'm actually the first to make the flying code work without crashing going trough portals (I made it into a super god mode code) On my youtube channel you can find some crazy Spyro hacks and this is my personal code page: gamehacking.org/hackers/Unicorngoulash/psx
Awesome work! Have you tried enable logs from epsxe main window? Log window should appear on next epsxe restart and then opening game will show SCUS code in log window at top.
@@kapteeni13 Sweet, I never used it, must have overseen it even after all these years haha. but it gave me the info I need, thanks! SLU__020.79 So once I'm up to it I can make some gameshark codes.
@@kapteeni13 I made the codes, I shared them here. They are also on gamehacking.org Thanks for the tip.
I guess spyro 4 is coming soon with all these leaks
These aren’t leaks
@@Hwd405 I believe it was a joke :)
@@Jroobelucios doesn’t matter, people genuinely call these releases “leaks” which I don’t think paints a particularly positive picture. I’d rather not have those negative connotations associated with my releases
@@Hwd405 oh I see, sorry
Not that it matters, but I managed to get 395 on Metalhead
I’m looking for prototypes of a specific game myself. Did you contact developers to get ahold of this? I’m in contact with the developers for the game I play, but feel that it’s too much to ask them for it. If you have any tips of resources I would be very grateful 😊
