CGB I just want to say a massive thank you. I’ve been watching for over two years now and I’ve gone through some really hard times as I’m sure we all have. I just want to say I really really appreciate you and your work and you have no idea how helpful watching an hour long video of laid back magic content can be. It is a scoop. He...was trying to show you what he had. Honestly i wish that was an option. In MTGO you can show the opponent your hand after you scoop. I wanted to do that one game when i had 4 in hand lands and drew my 5th.

I don't generally like watching paper content, but I watched Cause for Commander a couple of days ago and found it to be very watchable and easy to follow. The production values were very high, which really helped.
Doom is one of my favorite decks! I laughed so much at that last game when they unboxed Codie, that game really was a smashing success.
Yes! CGB ive been watching you for a while but it was your doom yorion list last year that got me playing again. This is also the deck Ive been running and hit top 1200 Mythic with, I learned so much just by watching you for a year! Massive thanks
I've been playing doom since last rotation. My 4c build is more focused in removal(4 heartless act, 2 eliminate, 2 vanishing verse, 4 bindings, 3 extinction event and 1 shadow's verdict ) and counterspells ( 2 negate, 2 test of talents, 1 disruption). Blinking the PDVDR card (2 of in the deck) is one of the best plays of the deck. Then the classic sacrifice stuff (omen of the sun, of the sea, golden egg) but not blessing becouse it kills more often than I would like. I close the games with emeria's call and yorion, only 1 copy of dance. I also run 1 single copy of polukranos becouse of rogues. Yet it is a pleasure to watch cgb playing doom decks.

The idea was to win with either shark typhoon or crackle with power combinwd with double vision, but I wasn't able to find the enchantments quickly enough

@covertgoblue, something also which could be playing against you is time. Because win rate is a thing, but aggro decks with say the same win rate are just making more victories per time unit as their games are always shorter than a control game. So for example over an hour at 60% rate, they win many times more than a control deck, so they out-rank you although the win rate is high.

I have a historic version of this deck with less counterspells and more planeswalkers. Its one of my favourites and I always get excited when you play something adjacent to what Im playing

I got lucky and every ikoria pack I opened got a full art triome so I have a shit ton of them
I wish I had wild card to make them. I started at the end of Kaldheim and its brutal with all these different lands. I can't even consider 3-4 color decks
@@mikeyj.philly imo its the most fun. Nothing beats the social aspect of going to your LGS and playing with all your friends. I understand some people dont have the time for it though

I ran into a Tergrid version of Doom Foretold. Was pretty brutal in the mirror. Are you familiar with this brew? If so, I'd definitely watch this content. Then again, I pretty much watch all of them, so... you'll have my views either way. I'm just a simp for Tergrid, until they reprint Braids.
Dude yes! i've literally ctrl+f "tergrid" to see if anyone else feel it's hard to play doom foretold without tergrid!
I run lurrus and several discard minion instead of the egg, dream devourer so you can foretell the doom foretold, and pharika's libation to steal some enchantment. Solemn Simulacrum is also great in the doomshell and i like running cosima for a bit of draw

I think wizards should make the ranking system and the shuffler transparent... This sneaky way of doing things in secret, when anyone can tell it's not random or fair doesn't help the game at all...

What was the thought process behind holding the essence scatter for the whole game against that Temur deck? Is it just better to fill your graveyard with things that you can DotM out or were you saving it for something like a potential Goldspan Dragon?

The ranking thing - isn't that how ELO works? If you're on the high end of MMR then you're always matched against lower opponents, so you get less points when winning and lose more when losing. This is why you can't hold these high ranks unless you have an insanely high winrate
