We'll likely have to mortgage them.

SuperFocus and Adlens briefly had adjustable-focus glasses with liquid lenses years ago. I have a bunch of youtube videos up about them. I sure wish someone would bring them back to market. They were expensive, not durable, but really terrific.

@@ahmadi3718 I'm back here January 2024 looking if anyone was working on these again. Still doesn't seem to be anything. Very disappointing.

I did this when I was 14 yrs old, in attempt to make my own DIY convex lens. I combined two curved glasses dishes, filled with water, and joined with tape. After 30 yrs, being sick of reading glasses, I thought of started a project that would use liquid (just like this video is showing) to make lenses dynamic.

If I understand this correctly, the lend is adjusted by means of a distance sensor to the next object straight in front of the glasses. However, this might not be the point where the person looks at. I suggest to use two small cameras watching the eyes of the person wearing the glasses, and extracting the angle between the eye direction. This angle reveals the real distance of the object at which the person looks.

Yeah it needs eye tracking and maybe LiDAR. So that the glasses can know where the eyes are looking and how far that is away

What about adjustments for Astigmatism? Is that included?

Does these liquid filled glasses are used as a screen for mobile? I think it may be more comfortable than wearing

Interesting, although these seem like they’ve got a ways to go before being a streamlined product on the market, but I like the concept.

Where does this tech stand today...? are they getting closer to being available..? i am stage 3 blind.. and my vision (prescription) is constantly in flux.. Are these within the near future yet..? or is this another false prophecy..?

Nice tecky idea but design is as important as feasibility for most people. We dont want Buddy Holly glasses or have them look like a VR Headset lol

So all you need is strong neck mussel to keep your head fulling on your chest , i think he should go back to working in the kitchen , my invention only requires you to blink twice to increase zoom, one two reset , works like camera on your smart phone and has mutable setting just by blinking .
