When I was eleven in 1974 we went to tanera mor school camp,and tanera beg and fat island this video brings back happy memories .the islands produced their own stamps.

Thank you very much for sharing your memories of the island, never knew there was a summer camp, It is very special in my heart too. I visited before the new owners moved in and i was amazed by the birds that flocked to my table, all were very tame.

@@LisaKerryTravelAdventures i remember sleeping in an old Nissan hut and learning to canoe and yacht and climb stac Pollaidh at the top with ropes,way back in 1974 it was school camp run by John Took,Nearly 50 years ago. The lead instructor was Torquil Ferguson from Galloway, we went to tanera beg one day and saw the coral reef and huge cave on the island and ate edible seaweed.
Achiltibuie there used to be hydroponics area at the local hotel
Beside the anchorage (an acorsaid) was a hill called gharahenol where in May we were woken in the. morning
by Cuckoo's,
