I'm not sure who makes them. I buy mine from D-M in Reno, Nv. Most online sites I've found only sell the waxed cottons. They're pretty good too, but I prefer the untreated cottons better once they're broke in and treated with boiled linseed oil. The waxed cottons feel real lifeless and limp to me once they're broke in, but painting them helps. They are fairly consistent in hot vs. cold weather, but water will make them very stiff. Word of warning- new, untreated cotton ropes are VERY abrasive to your horn wrap. Pay close attention when using one until it gets broke in, or it'll burn right through your horn wrap and won't stop there. It'll eat into your horn a lot quicker than you'd think. Once they get broke in, they're not near as bad. They're pretty hot against your hand when they're new also, but again, once they're broke in, they aren't near as bad.
looking great my friend .so glad i found this post . say hi to Baily and your Daughter .
Who makes the rope? Ive heard a bunch of folks like these cottons, never played with one myself
