  • These commercials aired on CBS on January 13th, 1984
    1. "Is This Goodbye, Charlie Brown?" Commercial Bumper (Brought to you by Mix'n Eat Cream Of Wheat and Peter Paul Cadbury)
    2. Cadbury's Dairy Milk Chocolate
    3. Ritz Crackers
    4. Mounds and Almond Joy
    5. WTVJ Station ID
    6. York Xtra Peppermint Pattie
    7. Better Cheddars Crackers
    8. Mix'n Eat Cream Of Wheat
    9. "Is This Goodbye, Charlie Brown?" Commercial Bumper (Brought to you by Mix'n Eat Cream Of Wheat and Peter Paul Cadbury)
    10. "Is This Goodbye, Charlie Brown?" End Credits
    11. Promo for "Whiz Kids" (A short lived TV series about a group of teenage computer hackers...it only lasted for 18 episodes)
    12. Promo for "Dungeons & Dragons"
    13. Promo for "Airwolf" (This was the two hour pilot movie that kicked off the TV series. It isn't as well remembered as other action TV shows of that era and the production was mired by Jan Michael Vincent's alcoholism, but I'll be damned if it doesn't have one of the best, if not THE best theme song of the 80's: • Airwolf - Theme Cover ... )
    14. CBS Station ID
    15. Promo for "PM Magazine"
    16. WTVJ Promo
    17. WTVJ Station ID
    18. CBS Special Presentation Bumper
    19. "How Bugs Bunny Won The West" Commercial Bumper
    20. McDonald's
    21. Tootsie Roll (A classic commercial from the 70's that aired regularly on TV for a really long time)
    22. "How Bugs Bunny Won The West" Commercial Bumpers
    23. Frosted Flakes (The secret formula to your SUGAR Frosted Flakes? Hmm, I wonder what could it be?)
    24. Aim Toothpaste
    25. Promo for "CBS Sports Saturday"
    26. Promo for "Scarecrow & Mrs. King"
    27. WTVJ Station ID
    28. Campbell's Soup (Oh God...I dread every time these things rear their ugly, deformed heads. And "Junk Food" is clearly a heroin junkie. He needs a methadone clinic, not soup)
    29. McDonald's
    30. "How Bugs Bunny Won The West" Commercial Bumper

Man, Junk Food had cruel parents to name him that.

I remembered 75% of the lyrics to the tootsie roll commercial. What a great jingle.

That 1977 Tootsie Roll commercial ran for several years (as did Tootsie Pops with Mr Owl) .

That Tootsie Roll commercial was always one of my favorites! The song has been stuck in my head for 40 + years (which feels like about how long it aired on TV).

6:11 - Taking the Hamburglar to a concert of singing cheeseburgers is like taking a raging alcoholic to a bar. Ronald had to have known it would not end well.

I remember seeing this Tootsie Roll commercial on TV in the 90s as well. I am not sure how the Tootsie Roll company was able to keep this ad and the famous “Mr. Owl” ad on TV forever.

Better Cheddars Crackers- I had no idea that this cracker was from San Francisco in terms of the style of it. I guess it joins Rice A Roni as the "San Francisco Treat".
    20. McDonald's- The design of that piano that came to life as well as the cheeseburger chorus are pure nightmare fuel.
Tootsie Roll- I remember this commercial very fondly. I always wished the jingle was longer.

Those nights when they'd have Charlie Brown followed by Bugs Bunny were like GOLD to me in the 80s! CBS "SPECIAL" indeed!
But the Campbell's ad is freaking me out!!!!

I appreciate your videos. They really spark the creativity and help me get out the nightmarish images that rattle around in my brain.

If I'm not mistaken, I recall seeing that Tootsie Roll commercial, or other similar ones, like it into the late 90s/early 2000s on Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon.

Airwolf...80s Commercial Vault is right. The theme song is the only thing I remember about that show...That, and the mediocre NES game that came out years after the show went off the air.

If eating Campbell's deforms you like that then I'm with Junk Food.

7:24 - So, Tony endangers the life of that kid by taking him to a haunted mansion just so he can protect his precious secret formula? Sheesh. Who cares if the kid gets carried away by the phantom undead, at least the frickin' formula is okay, right? Maybe if he didn't carry it around in a clearly marked briefcase all the time, he wouldn't have to worry.

Is This Goodbye, Charlie Brown?-spoiler: Nope
Whiz Kids-the lead star doesnt think too fondly of the show to this day(i remember his Starlog magazine interview)
    Dungeons & Dragons-R.I.P Adam Rich
Airwolf-CBS should maybe look into reviving this for Paramount+
Frosted Flakes-with Stephen Dorff.-perhaps the haunted house was located near..The Gate?
Scarecrow & Mrs. King-Scarecrow couldve seen the signs when they first met
Campbell's Soup-"Junk Food"..he probably eats it for breakfast, lunch, dinner and even as a midnight snack

I was always for Aim Toothpaste and still am. Nowadays, switched it up to Sensodyne. And with Mtn Dew Pitch Black having not only made a revival after a long long time and being promoted for the 2023 Royal Rumble with Bray Wyatt, you may as well hope for the best to brush them chompers every chance you get or else seek dental help.

1:01 - "The only cracker I know everybody likes". Are people really that choosy about crackers?

Ritz Crackers are one of my favorites, especially with cheese cuts. I like the Club crackers too.

Oh my God, Hamburglar looked like nightmare fuel (6:38). He looked much more benign in the 90s, if I recall correctly.

Yes, this was before their characters were redesigned in the mid-late 80's to have a more kid friendly Disney aesthetic.

Stephen Dorff....he was in an '80s B horror movie that shouldn't have worked, but for some reason did: _The Gate._ I'll bet a some of the people reading this remember it. It even got a sequel!
