You are not too much representated, but wrongly representated. I hate the way they showcase gay people with the image they have of gay people. It is like all gays are alike and gayness is the only thing they have. As far as I am concerned, my gay friends are all differents and the fact that they are gay is one point amoung many about their personnality. In modern movies and gaming, gay people are their for being gay only, which I feel very insulting and lame imao.
I can't understand why the world thinks you can change your gender by thoughts and actions. God casts homosexuals in Hell and they don't even try to fight that great sin. Paul matthew MINISTER
@@bigredd7691 There is no heterosexual community. Why should there be a homosexual community? A human being is not just one dimension. We all have a multitude of characteristics, sexual preference is just one of them. Does each of these characteristics make us belong to a different community? This desire to create communities has only one goal: to divide the people. I think that it is above all individuals who have rights (and duties). Communitarianism leads to division, division to hatred, hatred to violence.
I still think alternative sexuality is not the norm, but from the media, it seems they want us to think it is the norm. If it was the norm, reproduction would drop away to extinguishing such a culture to nothing.
He didn’t need to apologise and it seems if you think different to them you are wrong and need to learn to be like them. They need to learn to be tolerant of peoples different thoughts and beliefs. This is getting beyond a joke world wide now
Sam's apology didn't seem to be about what he said, rather it was about how he said it and the hurt caused by it. Which is obviously very different, so he deserves credit for that. I think his criticism was poorly articulated but raised important points. Especially in regards to what role(s) art plays and the responsibility of an artist. Movies often don't represent reality, but when a director uses historical themes and characters to portray a pandering and inaccurate narrative, it tends to leave a bad taste in peoples mouths, including mine.
The trouble with this subject is if you make films based on minority cultures you get a minority audience ( it’s all in the name ). So theatres will only be 10% full. Unless your in San Francisco, Brighton or Manchester
I watched The Power of the Dog & kept thinking, "This will get better". Well it didn't. It was a slow over politicized movie that should have never been made. I don't want to watch movies that push certain narratives, I want to watch movies that entertain, even if the movies has a terrible plot. That is what I watch movies for, entertainment & not political correctness or who is right according to the producer/writer/director. I want senseless violence, lots of action & very little sex, all tied up with a moral of the story at the end of the movie as to why it all happened...or no moral at all. Maybe just the main character saying F. it. & walking away, maybe the main character steps on a butterfly & the world turns to dust because of it, as long as the movie kept me glued to my set with entertainment I'm good.
I have always loved Sam Elliot honest and genuine way of reaching the average Women and Men of all walks of life. I am 65 and i showed an early episode to my older son of the old T.V. show Land of The Giants in which Sam played a young man Giant wrongfully accused of murder. I cried in the presence of my son when the little people helped him clear his name. I cried when he appeared in Gettysburg. When they cast Sam for a part, they know what they are doing. I do not think Sam is even acting in a part like he did in Gettysburg. I think Sam is a reminder to us how simple and joyful life is meant to be and he has not said anything that wasn't from the heart that he has to apologize for.
im so tired of these videos where you think your going to hear from the celeb but the narrator just shares his narative the whole time while showing silent clips of the celeb. Click bait?
Elliott lost points with me when he apologized. He had nothing to apologize for, and should have pulled a Ricky Gervais on all the POS who criticized him.
I myself applaud Mr. Elliot for not being a weak kneed pushover that bows his head and gives in!!! Thank you, Mr. Sam Elliott for taking a stance!!! Sincerely, Charles PapaC Ballback

I like Sam Elliot less, now that I know he apologized! NEVER, NEVER, NEVER APOLOGIZE, that’s how you get cancelled! You either stand for something or you don’t!
"Modern cinematic values". LOL, that's how to alienate your core customers and piss off fans world wide. Elliot got it 100% correct. Sorry if you're hurt by his comments, life's a bitch, and that is freedom of speach.
We actually count minutes or episodes as to when a gay couple crop up in tv and movies . Try it you will find its far over represented and spoils the plot a lot. PS gay people i know say the same
As a gay man, I feel like Elliot is right. Everything doesn’t need to be gay. At this point, we are over represented in mainstream media.
I so agree, my Husband was gay and always liked privacy.

A true man, loved by thousands, for what he is . Hollywood for most is garbage.
No Sam Elite should not have apologized.
He is an icon and has a right to his opinion. Period .
He is right! There was a time when alternate sexuality wasnt the norm!

Nice job Sam😊
So Hollywood is supposed to only focus on homosexual narratives?
Do nothing.
Now I know, why I am increasingly looking at old hollywood movies and avoiding modern movies, even modern war movies leave me unexcited.
Totally agree , Sam 100%
Hollywood's "Cinematic values" are not those of the viewing public.
Eventually, Hollywood will realise that “PC” is short for Profitability Collapse.
Your not allowed to go against gay Hollywood
He’s right. I’m 43 and for the past decade I’ve found myself revisiting old bnw movies because the acting was so authentic.
Me too. Found so absolute gems. Watched John Wayne pre WW2 Stagecoach a few weeks ago for the first time.
Me too! It's supposed to be entertainment.
Watched Shane starring Alan Ladd, very old 50s movie, fantastic. A very young Jack Palance playing a bad arse gunslinger is in the moview
So, if being dated and modern means being (gei)...I am soooo outdated and old fashioned And proudly old fashioned
Sick of today being so sensitive!!! Can't say anything anymore without people's panties getting in a bunch
With that voice he can say anything he wants ❤❤
Cowboys of old died from horsekicks and whiskey,,,,,, todays cowboys in movies and the big citis dies from hearing the word "Horseshit".

Love Sam Elliot, he’s an unselfish actor who is always great in his performances. Brilliant actor, and a genuinely good guy.
After he let the producers of The Ranch do the most demasculating BS with his character. At least he speaks out now.
I like Sam even more now!

Well… that put paid to my watching this movie, any time, any where.

Just who exactly are Hollywood??? a bunch of rich Jewish people?
Oh really!! Now it's all the Jews fault..🙄....oh, and by the way, not all Jews are rich....just the same as all other communities.
You push your differences off on me i will let you know how i feel about you and what you stand for .
Elliott lost points with me when he apologized. He had nothing to apologize for, and should have pulled a Ricky Gervais on all the POS who criticized him.
Glad I saw Sam's narrative kept me from wasting my time watching it. Didn't see brokeback mt either men kissing is stomach churning.
Truly it was bad...
Haha!! When I see a 'male on male' kiss coming on...I just tell my husband to close his eyes!
@@edithmiller3114 you are a great wife and it saves having to clean up the vomit.
Ever since "Broke Back Mountain" ... well you know the rest . 😆😄

So he never acted in The Ranch, he just chilled and hung with the cast😂❤
He is so cool i love his voice
The MAN knows!!!
I like Sam Elliot less, now that I know he apologized! NEVER, NEVER, NEVER APOLOGIZE, that’s how you get cancelled! You either stand for something or you don’t!
He apologized?! He's Sam Elliott. He did NOT need to apologize. He capitulated? How disappointing from a man & actor who embodied being a man. 😔 😟
Masculine camaraderie does not need to be portrayed as sexual.
If you were masculine you’d understand it is not.
Common sense still avails. You go do you, but don’t inflict that on me
The world is full of gay lords.
Fell asleep through that film...'power of the dog' it was that good!
My husband tried to watch it too... Couldn't....We are used to far better I suppose!!
The power of the dog wasn’t a very good film
Great job Sam
For me it’s simple I’m have no interest in this BS Hollywood 💩 and never will be…….
Did this movie make any money ?
Sam is right
Let everyone have their opinion. We don't always have to cater to gay people 100% of the time. They need to be tolerant too. Mind your own business.
THANK YOU SAM ELLIOT
"Modern cinematic values". LOL, that's how to alienate your core customers and piss off fans world wide. Elliot got it 100% correct. Sorry if you're hurt by his comments, life's a bitch, and that is freedom of speach.
Sam Elliott is right.
Sam Eliot is a amazing actor. I do hope that he has reached a point in his career where he can comfortibly say, I’m done and you can kiss My A$$
I am woke chocolate. My personal pronouns ... are her / she

Woke is a right wing manufactured issue with no definition. So anything goes to create controversy.
He told it as "He" sees it, not as anyone else sees it. If you don't like his opinion, change the channel back to the echo chamber.
How about you quit paraphrasing and react to the interview with the subject?
Elliott should NOT have apologized for telling the truth.
Love Sam Elliot, he’s an unselfish actor who is always great in his performances. Brilliant actor, and a genuinely good guy.
