- In the 51st Into The Lair, Dave Pensado how he tackles mixing multiple elements in a mix that are fighting for the same frequency space. In the example, Dave shows how he mixes 3 similar sounding synthesizes together while leaving space for each one to exist happily in the mix!
Finally I’m ready at the stage in my career where I can begin to understand Daves’ teachings. So blessed! Thanks for your dedication and still “raising” us youngun’s in the mixing world. 2 years ago this was Greek! 🙏
What a great tip. I layer a fair few synth tracks, this tip has helped glue them together.
the world is grateful for having you dave! thank you so much ❤️
"guy's I like spending a lot of time on the internet"
Wow we're so alike.
Some ppl obviously don't understand the point of this vid. Daves awesomeness has showed ways to clean up a muddy track with several different sounds in the same mid frequency range. Making yours tracks clear. Thats real audio engineering. Thanks Dave! We used to have to pay universities thousands to gain this information

hahahaha
Thank You Dave Pensado 🙌🙌 Very Helpful Video🔥🔥.
I've been dying to know if that sign that says CLOCK! is something significant or if it is just to remind you to start a timer for billing purposes?
love these videos!
The audio end result of this excerpt was as clear as a bell !
the CLOCK stands for setting up the sample-clock rate. if you setup the clock wrong in a project , to the files you got to mix, tracks getting faster / slower ;)
44.1 -> 48khz for example.
hope you did understand my german english ;)
Thank you so much for this video! Very helpful!
I believe it's there to remind him to take breaks when working on music. Simply a reminder to check the time so his ears are refreshed and working.
Great job!
MrDaveSir
i was wondering if it would be at all possible to make a tutorial on how to mix electric rock guitars as well as acoustics with synths
thats something i've been having some problems with
please
Thank you Dave!
Hi Dave, can you make a tutorial about mixing Brass in Latin music?
If you're syncing to an external clock then you really want to be cognitive of what rate that clock is and if it has changed. Using an external clock can be very helpful, especially at high sampling rates. ProTool's (HD/TDM) internal clock is ok, but there are some awesome aftermarket units that can improve the quality of your audio due to jitter errors.
was that track composed by a 7 year old kid ?
🤣
Brilliant! Thanks :)
Nice video
Awesome!!!!
The king!
anyone know what that blue LED thing is called
Is a Massey CT5 compressor.
Dave your amazing
Nice metaphor: "...the way my Brainworx!"
Dave please can you give some examples on mixing synths with a very good technical dance track, not that awful music I just heard.
I'm guessing it's to remind him to start the clock for billing purposes. You sure wouldn't find a sign like that in a lawyer's office.
Nice work mixing, song on the other hand is terribad
It wasn't meant to be about the song.
He's the Toecutter, and he knows who I am.
Pretty sure its a spectrum analyzer
all kindz of T Rex action... all kinds...
CLOCK!
Track was produced by a 10 year old on their Walmart CASIO keyboard. At best!
He forgot what it's there for....lol.j/k Probably billing.
wow those strings so nasty (not in a good way) subjective opinion though but idk bout those
If you're looking for someone preoffesional to mix your songs but in a really god price try Raz Klinghoffer
At least make a good song if you wanna make a tutorial
