It always amazes me how differently people eat. Here in the West we would NEVER think of putting some of these ingredients together. HAHA!

You are definitely one of my favorites Kristin! The sugar thing isn't weird at all. I add it to my homemade spaghetti sauce. Sugar cuts the acidity of the tomatoes thats why it works so good

    • @abimol3802

Why does she always say she is 'weird that way'? Most people add sugar, its nothing special

    • @Elizabethsceg
      @Elizabethsceg 3 ปีที่แล้ว

She probably says that because people like you are rude about every little thing which makes people self conscious. Many people may use brown sugar in chili, but it’s apparent that it’s not common for people to have manners.

I would like to see how you plan your meals.
Like do you do a weekly meal plan so you know what ingredients you need to buy? Or do you choose the recipe based on what you already have in the pantry? Thanks so much

    • @KristinStepp

I would like to start doing some videos going more into detail but for the most part I meal plan based around what I already have and I go to the grocery store once a week with a list.

I’ve been making chili with brown sugar for years and years and years! I even add brown sugar to my spaghetti sauce. :) I feel like it’s definitely more of a southern thing but even southerners are divided. Kristin, the next time you need ground beef for something try using ground turkey. It's tasty, it's cheaper, and it's better for you. You can't tell much difference when you use it in things like chili, tacos, etc.

I grew up eating chili spaghetti! Lol I never knew it was “weird” until my husband was confused first time. He loves it!
And I’m also in KY! Lol

Absolutely love chillio I've been using that for 30 years lol I think it was back last year kroger's didn't have it for a while and I had to use McCormick, it was OK but it was no chillio 🤣 My husband is a Brown sugar addict I put it in a lot of things but I never thought about putting it in my chili, I'm gonna have to try that.❤🥰 And yes 100% yes peanut butter in chili I don't know why it's so good.🤣😂 I love to eat peanut butter and salting crackers on the side of my chili.

I live in Southern Indiana and my chili must have elbow macaroni in it. I also use Brooks seasoning and Brooks beans. Hubby loves brown sugar in his chili, I dont add it to mine since I'm diabetic. We also have peanut butter on saltine crackers or regular butter on Saltines. ❤

I’m from the UK and I either have my chilli with rice or with fusilli pasta and typically I have garlic bread with it as a side🙌

My husband loves honey and peanut butter sandwiches. Chili is one of favorite dinners as well. No noodles. But it looked good! Thank you for your videos!

Yum! We’ve always added a can of Franco-American Spaghetti. Similar to spaghetti o’s.

I make a blt dip that is hot and so yummy!
Mix the cream cheese/ sour cream (Mayo too if you want) add cheddar cheese, cooked bacon, green onions and tomatoes.
Mix it together (add any other seasoning) and bake until bubbly!

Living in South Texas, chili is served with Fiesta blend cheese and Fritos. Maybe a dollop of sour cream. I have had it served on top of spaghetti noodles though we called it Mexican Spaghetti (even though it's not Mexican at all😅).
