  • In this video I give a brief introduction to vectors and then go through some typical vector questions.
    Vectors have many applications in the real world. We tend to ignore these applications in mathematics and just concentrate on solving problems involving vectors.

    I understand vector when it comes to proving that they’re parallel, but get lost when ever there is a find “Find the value of k” question. Will it be possible if you could make a video on that topic please.

    When teaching us vectors in physics our teacher told us to remember it having both direction and magnitude by thinking of vector from despicable me who says he has both direction and magnitude. Now whenever someone mentions vectors physics or maths someone in the class shouts "oh yeah" like vector. Every. Time.

    If the line was already going from D to C as per the column given
    What's the logic of labelling it as CD in diagram... Then writing the opposite of DC???

    in the last question, wouldn't you use cos^-1(cos inverse) on -1/squareroot of 50
    therefore the answer would be 98.13

    • @maths.explained
      @maths.explained  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      the question asks for the value of cos(ACB), not the angle itself.

    on the last question, i thought when your finding an angle you cant get an answer of a negative number your got -square root 2 divided by 5 which equals to a negative number

    • @maths.explained
      @maths.explained  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You are correct, an angle cannot be negative. But the cosine of an angle can be a negative.
