Maths videos to help you improve your GCSE and A-level results.
Over time I have found that I like to try to answer the "why" questions, not just the "how" questions. Why do we do it this way and not that way? If you are looking for how to learn certain skills in mathematics, you will find that here. If you are also looking for the "why" of things, you will find a decent amount to interest you.

AS Level Maths | Exponential Functions (bonus story time)
มุมมอง 80011 หลายเดือนก่อน
In this video learn about what is an exponential function, examples of exponential functions, what is exponential growth, and graph transformations. Small note on terminology - at the beginning of the video i was using the word “unknown” when it is probably more correct to say “variable” discord: discord.gg/M54cxgaZ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ Support the channel ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ th-cam.com/channels/f89Gd0FuNUdWv8FlSS7lq...

Indefinite Integrals | AS Level Mathematics
มุมมอง 389ปีที่แล้ว
How to find the indefinite integrals (antiderivatives) using the basic rules of integration. Something I wanted to say but forgot to mention in the video is that you can always check your solution by differentiating it! If you differentiate your integral and get something different to the original function, you know you did something wrong! To be a bit clearer about antiderivatives, you could c...
The Fundamental Theorem of Calculus - connecting differentiation and integration
มุมมอง 725ปีที่แล้ว
In this video we discover an amazing connection between differentiation and integration. I should point out that this is technically 1 part of the theorem which says "given F is some integral of f, the derivative of the integral gives f". We will continue with this in further videos. ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ Support the channel ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ th-cam.com/channels/f89Gd0FuNUdWv8FlSS7lqQ.htmljoin
What is Integration? | AS Level Mathematics
มุมมอง 350ปีที่แล้ว
Here we look at a very old problem: how do we find the area under a curve like x^2? This problem dates back thousands of years, but it wasn't until Newton and Leibniz in the 17th century that we had a general solution. In this video we look at "integration from first principles", but also recognise that this method of integration doesn't seem very practical, and look forward to discovering more...

Thank you so so so so much for this video!! Was so frustrating to not fully grasp this.
Thanks so much in class i pretend to understand but clearly idid not thanks
Ty omg why did it take so long to get this video drawing the y axis really helps
In your last example I used 2p as a common factor "2p(3p^3-6)" is this correct??
I didn't know the hamster from the bad guys was this smart (good content bro, got a high score on my math bcs of this 💯)
"I am watching this video even though only 3 days are left for my exam."
For the proof by contradiction of n^2 being even I thought you had to find a case where IF n^2 is even, n can be odd? N^2 being odd doesn’t relate to the statement being said? Nvm I realised the original statement is true and you negated to show it is true
I’m here for a test tomorrow WISH ME LUCCKKKK
Please I don't understand how you got 6p in the 5th example. Thanks and keep up the good work 👍😊
Bloody hell, mate, you saved me from failing. I understand it now. Thanks so much mate. You a real one.
Imagine explaining a vital concept in under 8 minutes and having two million view, but sadly people don't really appreciate good help now a days and because of the you only have 31k likes :')
why do you write your X's like that??? looks like buttcheeks, do better.
Please, how did we land at 2sin tita cos tita
Please, how did you come about expanding Sin^2tita and so on,how did we land on 2sin^2tita
W bro.
thanks
What if the two things outside of the brackets do divide
Then you can divide them. It should make the problem easier
What about 90 degrees?
I will use it before the quadratic equation. Over time, the books and test writers will accept the Po-Shen Loh method.

Hi Sir, Sorry I'm commenting on a really old video, I'm not expecting a response, just revising for January. For Q17 I used half base x height to figure out the length of CD, which I got as 10.18 recurring. As a result I got 14.2m as my final answer. Why is my answer different? Thanks in advance
Fanks
Why not use the shortest distance formula and find two values for c in 3rd problem?
Exciting transformation to 'Math Explained' with a focus on programming! Loved the idea of creating an online textbook and experimenting with content. Thanks for sharing this new direction!
Fantastic introduction to exponential functions! Loved the comparisons, transformations, and the chessboard story. Thanks for the thorough explanations and resources!

THANK YOU SIR
Still don't understand shit 😢i know I'm gonna fail 😭
Ty , I have my pre boards tom and this saves my a$$ ty ty ty!♥️

what. the. fuck. is. this.
Im not sure 😐🙄 5:31
Lol
Thanks lad
I did not Anderson anything bro
Thankyou really helpful
if school is supposed to be effecient and stuff, why try to explain and ovecomplicate things with 45 minutes when you can explain it simply in 10?
This guy is the best it actual makes sense now (Legend)
I understand, thank you. ❤
Watching the night before the Day of the wxam😂😂
To help understand, I think; it's not a matter of "which drawer did I pick," but instead it's "which coin did I pick." If you think about the possibilities of the coins and not of the drawers, it makes sense.
Why we assigned the hypotenuse as 1?
Thank you, I have a end-of-semmester test tomorrow, this really helped. 🙏
i’m 2 months late but thank you so much i have an exam in like 3 hours and i’ve been watching your videos
Good luck! Hope they helped!
