Victorinox Alox Bantam = ultimate minimalistic edc SAK!
Fantastic, light weight and slim package. Smallish but very capable blade and the combi tool to boot!
Love it 👍🏻
Outstanding review, thanks brother 😎🙏🏻
Thanks for sharing!
The Bantam is simple, yet elegant enough for a gentleman's carry. Thanks for sharing, take care and Cheers!
Very true! Thanks Toad 🐸
Heck yeah!!
I can get down with this… my kind of SAK.
I’m still growing in my appreciation of Victorinox knives.
But I really love the Alox ones (I do like a jack knife and minimalist knives in general).
And you’re spot on about the fit and finish.
They nail it!
Good stuff as always, Slippy!
👊🏻
Thanks Tim! You'll definitely get the SAK bug at some point 😂
@@SlipjointSawyer
You’re welcome!
I’m sure it’s bound to happen watching you jackarses!!😆
I love my Alox Bantam. Very simple & clean. 👍
It really is!
Red bantam or the waiter great value. Use my alox in zipped 5th pocket as it tends to slip out otherwise, fantastic tool. Thanks for sharing.
Great tip!
Thanks for the share, SlippyS !
My pleasure!!
I just picked up a regular mint Bantam last weekend with some advertising on it, of course i had to use google to even find out what model it was.. I run into these things all the time, i need to start collecting them!! thanks for sharing this great piece!!
Hope you enjoy it!
Nice great looking knife! I like that pattern!
Thanks Mike
Wow. Very thin. A great pairing with a Classic SD. Great video as always!
Thanks for watching!
Beautiful knife, ideal for an edc pouch or a sophisticated carry 👍
Agreed brother
just stellar any day of the week 👍
You got that right!
Nice little knife, and as you say, ideal for when you want an inconspicuous carry. I have a Waiter which as you know is similar, but with an added corkscrew that has done good work as a party knife. 😁
It's great for a very subtle carry or formal event
I keep flicking between getting this and the Swiss army 2… can’t decide which to get first 😂
Love the smaller size of this, but the Swiss 2 has that little pruner/hawksbill blade… decisions decisions!!
Another great video and congrats on hitting 2k 🫡
Thanks Stu! Just get both 👀🤘🏻
Great Video ! Just bought one great little knife really light weight knife it can accomplish a lot of tasks !
Awesome
Cool piece, buddy!
Thank you! Cheers!
An Alox is defo on my list of must have’s 👍🤙👊
Buy it 🤘🏻
@@SlipjointSawyer I will eventually. I’ve a Sak on the way from Dan 😀🤙
I was looking at this but ended up getting a Marbles GI Jack. All I wanted was a small UK legal blade and a bottle opener. it cost like 11 quid and I'm happy with my pick up.
Good choice!
Great vid sawyer! Any recommendations on a solid medium stockman knives with half stops? Thanks!
Old Timer 34OTH is excellent, also the rough Ryder arctic fox Stockman 🤘🏻
I have a Vic-Army of one, “I think it’s called.” And it’s a real workhorse of a knife for box cutting, trimming burs off wood or plastics, and simple rope & cord cutting.
the swiss army one?
Single bladed and ideal for jobs just like that
Neat. Unfortunately i wont be able to make the show on Sunday. Congrats to you both on hitting big sub marks.
Next time Jeff, we both appreciate your support
@@SlipjointSawyer yep maybe next time. It is my pleasure bud
It’s so pretty! I’ve got one on my wish list despite it being out-tooled by virtually everything else. I’m not sure if I’d use it if (when) I get one. It’s going in it’s own cushion lined bed at the back of the wardrobe.
Go for it!
It gave it a try some time ago, but ultimately went back to the Cadet.
It's just a tiny bit larger, and if prefer having the separate can and bottle openers. The nail file is also quite useful.
Good point
Great knife.. I like the regular cellidor model more though for the key ring (good for a suspension clip) and scale tools
Awesome stuff thanks for watching
Have one in my pocket as an EDC backup knife.
Amazing
Great tool for carry in dress pants or when wearing a suit or formal wear. Noticed you're also a fan of the Executive, take a look at the Director. Same toolset, but with metal scales even more impressive than the alox models. You won't be disappointed.
I'll check that out 🤘🏻
Hi Matt , have you put that Winter Magic through it's paces yet ? No !!!!!! Thought not . Me neither !🙃🐴🏴
😂😂 it's packed away in its box on display 👀🤘🏻
You should review the A.G. Russell Boxcar Jack knife.
👀 I'll take a look
I pair my Bantam with the Classic SD in Alox as a minimal pair.
Awesome
I dream of a bantam x alox, adding 1 more layer for scissors
Oooo I like the sound of that
I have the Bantam in the shopping cart but I didn't pull the trigger yet..
I have the signature and the camper and the scales start to fall off so I still haven't decided whether to upgrade the sd to the alox version and what model to buy from the thicker alox scales, maybe the one blade ver or farmer x, 😂 im all in or nothing .
If they would make a big bantam with scissors and saw i would buy only that one.
What would you buy? (All alox)
Bantam + sd + SA1. Or
Bantam + farmer x
Well I own all those 😂 the farmer X is superior!
man i might need to get one. wish it was a 91mm
Same brother
Why hasn't victorianox ever upgraded their steel? Apparently, there are no plans in the pipeline to do so, no?
Not that I've heard of
@@SlipjointSawyer Thank you.
So, what happens if the police catch you with a lock blade or a knife that’s to big in the U.K.
You'll be arrested, and can be fined £5000 or sent to jail for 5 years if you are carrying it in public without a good reason ( such as work purposes, camping, practicing Bushcraft, that sort of thing ). And before you ask, self defence is not classed as a good reason.
Thanks for the info. I got caught in New Jersey with a switchblade back in 1998. I got 30 days in jail and a $500 fine. Now I want nothing to do with switchblades of any kind.@@zednotzee7
I guess, never mess with an English men.@@zednotzee7
What Zen said 🤘🏻
It really needs a keyring
100%
What knife would you suggest for a teenager first knife UK legal
It really depends what you're after, the Vic Recruit is excellent, basically an 84mm Spartan, also the waiter and bantam 🤘🏻
