Great reaction Tauri! ❤I listened to the song for the fisrt time with you and i am speechless. 😮Within temptation dared to talk about war and did it beautifully. Few bands dare to do it and I tip my hat to them. 👏
Every song that I've listened to so far from Within Temptation (Having just found them 2 weeks ago, though they have been for sometime) has moved me in such a way that I can't even begin to describe, and Wireless continues that feeling. Great review Tauri
I loved the visuals, it goes through so many sad\sour\enraging moments in history. The way soldiers either protected the children or enrolled them into their armies gave chills. But there's one thing that left me sort of unsatisfied. The humanoid figure we see at the beginning, "she" seems dormant, and I kept waiting for "her" to wake up and wipe all those evil 🤬🤬🤬 away from the planet with one big swing from her arm, or a hard stomp on the ground.
Tauri, as a military vet -- especially with Veterans' Day being this upcoming Saturday here in the States -- it is one thing to serve. It is another to serve a moral or just cause. It is still another when Command actually listens to the intel soldiers or Marines on the ground actually bring. Because no Soldier, no Marine, no Sailor, no Airman wants to think his service is being used for ulterior or manipulated ends. No person who serves ever wants to have to ask the question, "What was it all for?" Because especially today, too many vets get out of their service, come home, and when the topic comes up, ask that very question. Because too often, the true motives or intentions of the political powers are deemed "classified," which makes the veteran or service member feel like a pawn in a game or cog in a machine. It is why people have to remember: Those who serve are people, and human, too. They have good intentions when they serve. But those intentions can, and often are, twisted for some other goal or objective other than a pure moral good. And in case it needs be said, if you are serving or have served, thank you for your service. Too often, people are not grateful for those that are willing to put themselves between those they love and care about, and those that would do harm.
As a civilian, firstly, i want to say thank you for your service. Its taken me a long time to learn & understand that the reason you & our service men & women enlist, & the reasons y'all are deployed are often never the same. Growing up, i hated the military, any military, because i saw senseless bloodshed as horrible & evil. It never occurred to me that many of y'all never asked for all the wars we've had. You proudly served & sacrificed, but you never asked to be used as disposable tools. Its taken me a long time to focus that judgment towards the ones that give you your orders, the cowardly leaders & politicians who'll never face the horrors of war. Again, thank you for your service
@@void_hunter94 : I appreciate that. Thank you. And to be honest, many people feel the same as you do. Yet, one of the things that came from the Nuremberg Trials was that just because someone was given orders, doesn't make what they did any less reprehensible. "I did because I was ordered to" is not a valid defense, essentially. Thus, if that is true, then it logically follows that any such orders given to lower-ranked combatants were given from reprehensible combatants, officers, above them. And many times, it is the enlisted men who suffer when orders given from the top are bad, wrong, or needlessly wasteful. And that has never changed in the history of human warfare.
Great reaction. Great song. Great message. Don’t want to go to far in to this topic. But its very true. Love Within Temptation. My fitst live band. Been to lots of there live shows. They toured with Evanescence last year. Good show from Evanescence and great show from Within Temptation. Thanks for this reaction.
The lyrics are serious to our human existence. They're also incredibly well written. Sharon's delivery of the lyrics hits the heart. Also I'm personally loving this sound. Good stuff. And yes, great live band, probably one of the best. Hope you get to see them soon. I imagine a your will happen with the new album that's coming out later this year. Cheers!
I don't understand why people are afraid to be "political", it doesn't mean you have to talk about politics every minute. I've been a fan of Within Temptation since I was 10, they're my favorite band and I'm so thankful they didn't choose to stay silent. Not being silent when a massacre occurs does not make you "political". If you see someone being killed and choose to ignore it and remain silent, you are automatically on the side of the killer. Thank you for your reaction, Tauri. You're the only one of all the video reactions to "Wireless" who said something without being afraid to be "political". Greetings from Ukraine!)
I love Sharon's voice, one of the few capable of moving me and making me cry and creating a song on the theme linked to the conflict Russia Ucaina oops USA is too demanding... but I cannot share the concept linked to crying the sadness of war and I wonder why you, Sharon, who with your fantastic voice have the key to entering people's hearts, don't project your attention by tying it to the need to pursue peace. Saving what can be saved is the real objective towards which we should pay attention, certainly not that of feeling sorry for ourselves. The reason that exacerbates such an unsustainable situation is consequently obsessive and lacking in oxygenation and for this reason I personally find it soundly blocked and asphyxiated. Thanks Tauri, your comment is a sign linked to your beautiful person that I appreciate and respect, you're fine girl.
one of my favorite bands that doesn't disappoint with any song!!! If you don't know the group yet, it would be great if you could respond to the following: KOBRA AND THE LOTUS - LIGHT ME UP (goosebumps and tears may appear) and Samurai Pizza Cats - PIZZA HOMICIDE (feat. Nico Sallach of Electric Callboy) Funny Song ;-)

ALL war is Class War. We all have a responsibility to speak out against atrocities committed in "our name".
No War But Class War ✊🏼

Everything in this song is awesome! Heavy and melodic 💯
There are generations of Palestanian children who gave lived through war.
The war machine needs to end.
One of Polish greatest poets who lived during World War II once wrote in a poem:
"Leave us
Forget about us
About our generation
Live like people"
This is one of the best songs they've made in my opinion

There imagery of child soldiers is potentially referring to use of children overseas as well.... Including British children in Britain.
If wonder how that may have happened, what the film "Nerve" (2016)
