That gunk may be the result of condensation whereby the bike is only doing short trips and not getting fully warmed up. The only other possibility is headgasket problems, but if the engine isn't losing coolant it's not that. I've seen people shy away from buying cars at auction when they've seen that emulsion, but I've bought it and in a hundred miles or so, and a few long runs the creamy stuff disappeared. I actually own a 2018 CB 650F and it's a great bike and being a Honda it will last for years with basic maintenance. A great video especially when trying to hold the camera at the same time. Thanks.
Many thanks for your comment, I think your right it's condensation, recently looked and there was nothing, probably a combination of longer rides and warm weather. And there's no loss of coolant, thank God 😁
@@michelod.i.y.5202 may I ask how many miles your bike has on it?. Mine has about eight thousand and I've noticed the discoloration on the exhaust system near the Cat. Your bike doesn't have that, but I push mine quite hard.
Cheers for the Video mate! Have same bike here in Australia and I love it. Followed your service step by step. Gave me the confidence to have a crack at it. Looking forward to more. When are you spark plugs due for a change? 🙂
Thanks for watching, I'm still 15,000 miles away from a spark plug change. Feel free to look through my channel there's other cb650f maintenance things there.
@@michelod.i.y.5202 my 650 is going in for its second service next month early due to my up and coming adventure. Once the warranty has expired I'll be doing all the servicing on the bike myself too.
Coincidentally someone else that subscribes to my channel has done a video, the engine is the same as mine. th-cam.com/video/LCidTsyYVpg/w-d-xo.html thanks for watching
They get to tight because they don't use a tourqe wrench!!! I've been a mechanic for many years, if your not using a tourqe wrench your not doing it correctly... but great vidio, thank you

@michelod.i.y.5202 Yeah, I did wonder when it was going to be on here, lol. Joys of TH-cam video creation
@@nicksepisode just been saying 'process pending for hours' driving me nuts. Think I've managed to sort it now. Thanks again for tuning in.

Great job Michelo and that oil really looked like it needed changed.. Your bike is looking great as always. All the best, Sean
Thanks, took it for a nice ride Sunday, perhaps I'll do the next oil change a little earlier. Ride safely

Hi what milage did you do your service, great video
I did the service at 13400 miles, but prior to that it's had four oil and filter changes
Hello where did you get the seat cover
Coolcovers.co.uk 😊
Does that seat cover make a difference or stop your ass hurting on long rides?
@@stevemurphy4926 definitely, no sweaty backside in the summer, maybe a little too cool in the winter 😊 but definitely dryer

That oil looks bad. You need to change oil again after 500kms
