Not after one night when she was about 21/22 years old. She lived in Appalachia so driving most places involved driving on mountain roads. She was driving home from the bar and passed out at the wheel. She was found in a ditch off the right side of the road. When people do SFSTs and are arrested or go to court, those records are made public. People see those records, request the footage and publish it. If someone does SFSTs and is not arrested for anything, nobody really knows about it to request the footage.

I have done that before. Whether the first girl in video was drunk or not... they didn't show her the results at the stop, when a lawer gets that video, it's over... she did pass the tests they asked. So unfortunately if she WAS drunk she'll have to be let go on that basis. I'm against drunk driving so it saddens me when procedures aren't followed
You don't "pass" the tests. If you're doing field sobriety tests you're already under probable cause of DWI by the police. Plus, she didn't "pass" the 2nd or 3rd test and she reeked of alcohol and she was slurring her words. A lawyer has literally no basis to make a case for innocence......

So, you DO drink and drive? Having a "meal with your drink." Only means you're a full bellied impaired driver. It doesn't lessen the affects of the said alcohol. Like having coffee only makes one a wide awake drunk. Alcohol level is the same.
Officer something, police department. Or officer with something police department maybe. I’m sure he says it so much that he doesn’t even realize it basically sounds like gibberish when says it like that.
Her speech was slurred, incoherent speech and the fact she was laughing and challenging the cop over and over again showed signs of what someone called liquid confidence somewhere in the comments.
IMO, the officer definitely downplayed the severity of her DUI saying in was just a little mistake, you’ll get over it, etc., etc. Maybe that’s because he didn’t lose anyone to an irresponsible teen who decided to get drunk and drive their car impaired, speeding and not being able to safely drive. She put others lives at risk. Even if she didn’t care about herself, it was selfish of her to drink and drive. Go to classes for DUI, and you’ll see how serious what you did was.
The cop that crashed the patrol car and the other cops are figuring things out. The cop that did the crash was not gripping the phone cords then gripping the phone cords, then not gripping the phone cords again…he was playing opossum. He knew
I have never had a DUI and don't really drink but as a former college athlete with bad knees and ankles, I would probably fail a few of those tests 😂. My knees wont let me stand on one leg for long without buckling.
Same in Denmark I believe depending ofc what state your in, as a bouncer one night getting in my car after work cops we're parked all the way back so you couldn't see it in the shadowy area, a girl completely wasted got in her car cops waited until she turned the key in the ignition and lit her up, I believe they went directly to test blood alcohol level as breathalyzer was meaningless she could barely stand on her two feet.
If DUI's were made a felony from the first offense, the frequency at which they happen would decrease in a year. Most people are not willing to gamble with a felony the way they will with a misdemeanor.
You’d be amazed at how many drivers have no clue that a first dui is a misdemeanor and not a felony. If people are choosing to drive drunk, they will do it either way.
Finally an officer that didn't coddle the young female DUI offender. 25:16 " We just had a deputy killed by a drunk driver!....." He didn't say you're a POS but it was implied.
I was drunk one time when I was 25 and hated the feeling. I was home with friends and drank about 3/4 bottle wine. It is kind of a sadistic game they play with the suspects. They already know before that they would that they will arrest the offenders at the end, but give them a false hope. It is like a cat which plays with a mouse.
I dont like people who encourage underage drinking… thats the way to parent turn your child into an alcoholic when you let them drink before theyre of age… and teens… don’t be in such a hurry to grow up… enjoy your young years without alcohol and/or drugs… make life worth living not wondering when is the next time you get arrested… 21 is not going anywhere… so be patient and follow the laws…
It’s a little interesting to see which DUI cases get attention in this video… I watched an 18 yr old kid cry for 10 mins but got to see 20 seconds of an actually important story about an officer getting drunk & crashing the patrol car. They show everyone’s faces & cases in detail, but that guy doesn’t get the same treatment? Hmm. Don't drink and drive, you may end up on Law & Crime video on youtube. Now the world knows.
If you're lucky. You could end up dead!
Your arrest being on TH-cam basically forever might be the worst punishment of all
Of course and that effects your career and friends and social circle so it matters
So glad my DUI was over 20 years ago. I have never gotten behind the wheel again after drinking. I would hate to have my face plastered all over social media, that is a punishment all in itself
First girl: “ I can call my mom”. WTF?!?!!
Scooter girl literally begged the cops to arrest her despite those cops super chill lol
It would have been illegal to let her go !!!😂😂
her crying and apologizing every two seconds is sickening.
Agree!
I'm sorry.
But, does saying " I'm sorry" not get one out of a ticket/arrest. I'm sorry. I was sure it did! I'm sorry. My bad😂
I know a couple people that say I’m sorry about everything. Like talking to themselves…sorry, took too long in the shower…sorry, using your favorite cup instead of a different…sorry, got the hiccups…sorry, on and on and on etc etc etc. They say I’m sorry no less than 100 times a day. It’s so annoying! It might not be the DUI 😂
I feel bad for women like her. Because it's a sign that those women grew up in very @busive homes.
Thank god for our police

I'd love to see some videos of people going through the sobriety tests and then released by the police as safe to drive-- if there are any cases like that, that is.
I saw one where the guy actually blew 0.00 and was a college football guy who said he w as drug tested weekly..they arrested him anyway..he sued and won ..so no I doubt there are any
When people do SFSTs and are arrested or go to court, those records are made public. People see those records, request the footage and publish it. If someone does SFSTs and is not arrested for anything, nobody really knows about it to request the footage.
The person who went through the test unnecessarily would know about it, and might be exercised about it enough to request it and post it. You might be right, though.@@jenniferk9242
There’s probably a hundred of those videos for every one we see of where they go to jail.
I was thinking the same thing
41:52 whoever started to play the COPS theme is a hero!
I have done that before. I was with some friends and we saw someone speeding and there was a State Trooper parked and I said watch they are going to get pulled over and all of a sudden just as I said that my friend turned on the cops song the state trooper pulled out of the parking lot sirens and lights. It was hilarious.
18 and a DUI on record.... not a good start
DUI is a such a low crime to commit. No sympathy.
The last officer was so professional and kind. I feel like he handled everything so well. Well done, Sir!
I waited till I got sober to get my license@ 27 and now two years sober🦋
First girls mistake was driving thru Lowell without her and her car being absolutely straight. They had a whole lil police department and you enter and leave the city in about 1.4 miles total. They literally had nothing better to do than make traffic stops. Now the dept has been absorbed by I think the county but Lowell did not play they saw literally everything.
So, police do traffic stops 🙄
That's their job.
What was the problem for you?
@@principecaprincipeca2243 notice how I only stated neutral facts and said nothing about my opinion on the situation. Seems like you read into it a little too far.

The way the cop fumbled through the breathalyzer case seemed unsanitary. Young people, please take DUI seriously. It’s no joke.
The unsanitary technique tells me he doesn’t wash his hands. Ever.

That last cop was so nice. We need more nice cops.
We have plenty of nice cops.
Let me guess, going to her friend's house in her friend's car, wearing her friend's pants too.
It's amazing how people blame other issues on their behavior when they have clearly been drinking.
The first girl was adorable. She was very cute and I thought at first she would put up a big fight or something but she turned out to actually have a pretty normal and sober response to the situation.
Yeah, faking asthma and hyperventilating.
The officer that ACTUALLY gave advice ... KUDOS!!!! If most officers did this, more people would respect officers; however ... they (officers) should NEVER give advice!! But, I'm SURE that woman appreciated it.
Respect should be a given, given position of authority at the time of stop.
I was a passenger during a dui at 17 and the cops took me in and advised me like that, it stuck with me all my life
Come on TH-cam....an ad every frigging minute. Who do you think will stay engaged with that? Times are tough aye?

Ain’t no laws, when you’re drinking claws 😂
Now personally I love getting wasted but the truth is I would rather do it at home. However if it ever does come a day when I do have a family of my own yeah I will not do that. I never go out drink and drive. The only difference for me whenever I go to a bar I don't ask for too many drinks I only asked for one drink that's it. But I always ask for food with my drink even try to hold off on how much I need to drink and what food I have in my system in order to make sure I'm good enough to drive. So I never drink like crazy unless I am home. I never go on the road and drive I would rather never want to have a DUI record on my driving record ever. I've always managed to maintain that I'm 31 years old and I still have a good record both as a law-abiding citizen and as a driver. I love watching videos like this they just entertain me
So, you DO drink and drive?
Having a "meal with your drink." Only means you're a full bellied impaired driver. It doesn't lessen the affects of the said alcohol.
Like having coffee only makes one a wide awake drunk. Alcohol level is the same.
Teust me...gum doesn't help. I tried that myself in 2007 when I had my DUI. No longer a drinker. Saved my life. Thanks to rhe Creator.

Wow i can't believe that officer was drinking and driving in his squad car .WTH !?
And you're surprised by this?! ACAB.
No charges, no disciplinary action
The cop that crashed the patrol car and the other cops are figuring things out. The cop that did the crash was not gripping the phone cords then gripping the phone cords, then not gripping the phone cords again…he was playing opossum. He knew
I don’t drink. I’ve been excluded from many parties and friend groups because abuse of it. I also have never gotten a DUI. Worth it
I have never had a DUI and don't really drink but as a former college athlete with bad knees and ankles, I would probably fail a few of those tests 😂. My knees wont let me stand on one leg for long without buckling.
I've tried doing those balance tests when I'm stone cold sober, and i fail every time!!
Never take the SFST. It isn't mandatory and its purpose is just to get evidence against you.

In my country New Zealand 3 failed attrmpts to blow equals a refusal and arrest.we dont do ridiculous field sobriety tests either
Well this is the US and as a whole, we are not the brightest country.
We are not even close to being the brightest country
The empty bottles are never their's. It never fails😂😂😂
The Pasco deputy was soooooo professional! That’s a great cop right there. He was so nice and understanding.
Finally an officer that didn't coddle the young female DUI offender. 25:16 " We just had a deputy killed by a drunk driver!....." He didn't say you're a POS but it was implied.
Calling someone or implying someone is POS isn’t a positive thing. No matter what someone does.
Why do some states allow phones in the back of cop cruisers and courtrooms, whereas others are not?
42:11 how funny the COPS song is playing in there…
I was drunk one time when I was 25 and hated the feeling. I was home with friends and drank about 3/4 bottle wine. Field sobriety tests are BS. I've seen so many videos of people do it better than I would on my most sober days and they still find them drunk.
It is kind of a sadistic game they play with the suspects. They already know before that they would that they will arrest the offenders at the end, but give them a false hope. It is like a cat which plays with a mouse.

Lol the cops theme playing in the background.
I watch a lot of these videos. I am very concerned that so many people are driving drunk. Many without any registration, insurance, or license.
I dont like people who encourage underage drinking… thats the way to parent turn your child into an alcoholic when you let them drink before theyre of age… and teens… don’t be in such a hurry to grow up… enjoy your young years without alcohol and/or drugs… make life worth living not wondering when is the next time you get arrested… 21 is not going anywhere… so be patient and follow the laws…
i almost laughed when the COPS theme started to play at 41:50
It’s a little interesting to see which DUI cases get attention in this video… I watched an 18 yr old kid cry for 10 mins but got to see 20 seconds of an actually important story about an officer getting drunk & crashing the patrol car. They show everyone’s faces & cases in detail, but that guy doesn’t get the same treatment? Hmm.
Also, the cop who pulled up & talked to the girl right before she got the breathalyzer was absolutely looking at her behind. Just watch his eyes while she’s doing the test.
