- The SS build moves forward. It looks better/worse with the wheels on it. Don’t worry these are temporary while getting the correct tires on the SS wheels. Doesn’t look like it but forward progress is happening. Stay tuned for morevideos.

I had a 2003 Silverado SS and loved it. It was a great truck. Super fun to drive. Tons of power, AWD with 4.10 gears pulled like a freight train and it handled better than any truck I've ever driven. With that being said.... your truck is rough. It's gonna take a ton of work, parts and money to make that thing even reasonably presentable....and then you still have a truck with 300k miles. I don't know what you have into it.... but your only chance of making money on this deal is to part it out.
And no matter what you do - do it quick. The value of that truck is gonna plummet when gas gets to $3/gallon and people don't want a truck that gets 12MPG. I bought my 2003 in 2010 with 110k for $10k because gas was $4/gallon.
100% agree with you. Was going to try and bring it back to life and make it look great. Now just looking to make it safe and presentable. Luckily it was cheap enough not terribly worried about it. We will see what happens. Knew she was rough and parting it out was my back up plan if things went sideways.
Good luck on your build looking forward to seeing the progress, I have an 05 SS and it saddens me to see your truck in the state its in these trucks are like unicorns getting harder to find. you can get Oem SS covers for your wheels on ebay cheapest i saw where 30 bucks for 1 cap.. everything has value on an SS.. Oh yea it’ll be taken out and see if it can still hold it’s own. Just waiting until can get through all the mechanicals. Coming videos will show it on the move.

@@uptownautogarage6833 thank you I really appreciate it, I’ve been looking for some to be honest and I seen in part 2 how such good quality the video was and I had to ask lmao, I don’t mind the ring just because of how simple it is I don’t wanna run wires on the outside of the house I’d have to run them in through my second story wall on the outside of the house but idk I might pick the ones you got up.
I just did new carpet on my Silverado I bought it 3 years ago found 7$ in change lol that was under the carpet

Hey I had rebuilt my ss if I were you I’d take all those claddings off the bed while you work on it and trash the bed it make things a lot easyer and prepare the claddings for the next bed instead of having them bent onto the bed
On the list to do. Think I found a red bed. Better shape than what’s on it. It’s straight at least some bubbling but I’ll take it considering what clean ones go for.
How much did you pay for it?
I felt I got a good deal on it. Since buying it a couple have come up in better shape for not much more money but hey then it wouldn't be as fun to make videos. Thanks for continued watching!
