      Great question brother. No they are not used. I wouldn't mind if they were utilized, but these things have not budged a bit with hard bashing, Rich and Eric no issues either. I guess if you do it right it's not necessary. Mitch know All 🤣😂

  • @matthewcoleman9486
    @matthewcoleman9486 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    So I really like the idea of the Delrin inserts. My one thought though is wouldn't this make it a lot harder to replace the arms if they break? It looks almost like you'd have to pull the whole tower and all off to swap out an arm.

    • @3SonsRC
      @3SonsRC  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great question, your not the only one to wonder this. The Delrin is SUPER strong to start with... Far from average plastic.
      The disadvantage of being metal Hinge pin going into a metal Hinge pin hole is the rough landings will eventually cause the metal Hinge pin hole to open bigger, causing slop, I have seen this myself with several other aftermarket options before I went M2C... The metal to metal will break down and almost make the block unuseable, loose control and accuracy etc. So Mitch Designed😎👍 the inserts to eventually wear and be replaced as opposed to replacing the whole block. Makes it smoother than metal on metal. Mitch includes a few extra I believe when you order and they can be purchased seperatley.... But I have only had to replace two little bushings after MONTHS of hard bashing and I have these in 4 of my rigs, and I am far from careful with my rigs. Yes it's maintenance to have to get in there, but more costly to replace the whole block from damages AND maintenance is part of the Hobby.... I just check them when I'm in there doing other things and 90% of the time they are still fine.
      Appreciate your time and again, great question.
      See ya round brother

      @matthewcoleman9486 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@3SonsRC sorry I was asking if one of arms broke. I recently ran into a fence with one of mine and broke a front lower arm. It wasn't difficult to replace as the hinge pins are easy to pull out. If they are in there with red thread locker I could imagine having to take a lot more apart to replace an arm.

    Do these hinges rectify the factory preset toe in on the rear arms on the Arrma 6s rigs

    • @3SonsRC
      @3SonsRC  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      No, they go with the geometry of the stock setup. In order to change that you would have to change the bulkhead, Chassis and other things,,,, then pars would not be compatible. As far as I know the Toe is intentional to absorb impacts? That's what I thought, as Long as it drives straight that's what matters. Might want to check race truggies, I think they have it as well. As far as I know it's not a bad thing

    • @surfside75
      @surfside75 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I have a question. I bought the rear hinge pin blocks labeled M2C3615 and it says it's compatible with the Kraton, Mojave 6s V4, V5 and EXB. It says it's not compatible with the outcast 6s explicitly... But I'm assuming it would be considering the Kraton 6s and outcast 6s are exactly the same minus some longer parts specifically for the longer chassis.

    • @3SonsRC
      @3SonsRC  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Great question brother! As of right now there is no compatibility with the front one because of the bumper on the EXB.... Mojave as well. But I believe you can do rear No Problem👍.... And if you switch to a RPM bumper in the front you would be good there as well! The EXB bumper is great, but I will take a M2C front Hinge Pin Kit and RPM bumper every time! Even the way the RPM bumper uses all 4 bottom diff screws to secure is better than the EXB bumper.... But I do love the impact Zone on the EXB bumper. Both options work, I just have my preferences.

    What we doing with rear wings on outcast , i just snapped another , rpm work good but those screws constantly bend break , will that tower brace mitch has support that I windering ?

    • @3SonsRC
      @3SonsRC  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The tower support is one of the most innovative pieces M2C has, it might help the wing mount a bit but not too much. It IS built to transmit shock from the rear down into the chassis down through the Chassis brace.... It's a great upgrade.... Highly Recommend.
      But there are certain parts of the truck that NEED to remain plastic, bendable, and at times breakable (our own fault.... Bad landings)... They break and absorb impact from our bad wrecks INSTEAD of being metal and transmitting that impact to the bulkhead or somthing.... I would much rather change out a wingmount than a bulkhead.... I hate replacing those. I have upgraded many of my Bulkheads to RPM, but I'm happy to have plastic wingmounts hubs and RPM arms to flex and absorb shock. I don't think M2C will change the wingmounts. They are a necessary weakness..... Hope that makes sence
      But definitely get the Tower Support!
      Appreciate your time and great question!

    • @3SonsRC
      @3SonsRC  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, some call them diff cases, but I call the Bulkheads and many times that's how they are labeled by the parts manufacturer. You can see in the video when I grab the other completed rear of the truck, I use a HR Bulkhead.... They are super important for hardcore bashing and to literally save your RC butt. Definatley in the rear, in my Kraton I have them front and rear.

    • @3SonsRC
      @3SonsRC  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes M2C does do Hardened Steel stock pins... I used them before I upgraded to the Kit. The kit works so much better than stock though because the issue is the stock Metal inserts will give, and let the pin go and then it will bend (even possible with hardened steel ones but less likley) and break the arm too.
      So yeah the stock pins are better... But the Kit is the REAL SOLUTION.... Helps you send it with real confidence! But nothing is indestructible, but I have yet to have a M2C product fail me😳 and I go pretty big and have taken so crazy bad BIG HITS.... Check some of my older bashing videos.
