Two artists who understand the harmonic and compositional structure, as their guide. It takes a lot of planning and rehearsing, without a doubt, but the result is a performance that reveals the composer's genius. Having heard many other interpretations that I've enjoyed and admired, this one really commands your attention, and is a deeply moving experience. The phrasing is fluid, without warping. The playing is expressive, without overly thick tone and modern-day emoting. Masterful music-making here that is very hard to find.
