Well Emmitt's own cousin is telling the story. She's still alive. That's something else. A lot of the monsters are still alive or have already passed the hate down to their children who passed it to their grandkids. That's how they keep the hate going.

I can't imagine. She said that when he was prepared for viewing, he looked a million times better than he did before. My ex boyfriend's son was murdered by a racist man last year. His son and his friend were chased down and shot to death. A man at a gas station was angry because he said they cut him in the line. They exchanged words and then the boys left. He went to his car started it up and ran their car into a ditch. He got out of his car, walked over to the boy's car and shot them to death. They're trying to say he's mentally ill so he might end up getting off the hook. My son is their age and it scares me whenever he leaves the house. Those boys weren't into gangs or any type of trouble and they lost their lives.

This was a horrific story, I remember hearing my Mother and Grandmother talk about the murder of Emmet Till when I was a little girl. There were countless murders of black men and boys in the south. Emmet Till was the face of the horror of the south. White women played a significant role in bringing about these murders. Everytime I see a story about these Karen's calling the police and lying on African Americans; i think of Emmet Till. All it takes is for one racist cop to respond to one of these phone calls and it can become deadly and they know it. I saw a video where a little black boy walked by this white woman and his back pac hit her as he walked by. She started yelling and called the police stating he grabbed her butt. These women are deranged, and should be prosecuted and charged with a felony for making false reports to police with intent to cause deadly harm. They should call it " The Emmett Till Law."

I watched the movie "Till". The actress who played Mamie deserves an Oscar. I worked in an ER for nearly a decade as a clerk and I have witnessed the reaction of dozens of parents who received the news that their child was dead. The sound that comes out of them is like no other on earth--it is raw pain and agony and almost inhuman. That moment when she sees what done to her child was so real, so palpable that I found myself sobbing. What a waste of precious life and an end to a future that had so much potential. I remember to pray for this family every day.

I remember being a child in the 1970s. Emmitt Till was still discussed among adults. Parents from Chicago and probably elsewhere were still sending their kids down south during the Summer. After hearing about him, I wasn't trying to hear it. My family has relatives down in Ol Miss. If my mother suggested going down south, I would remind her about Emmitt. Lol.

Watching his family have to remember this shows you recent this is in history. I remember my mom 🙏 told me about this story when I was a kid and I never forgot. I grew up down south, but I also grew up right. There’s a special place for people that can act so Inhumane. Rest Peacefully Emmett.

This is so heartbreaking and to know that the lady lied about what she did is cruel and sickening just sick.....

It blows my mind that this baby was so young. I pray in heaven he didn't remember any of what he had gone through. ❤ Never ever forget Emmit Till ❤

Emmett's story keeps me up at night. His mother was such a strong person. The people that did this to him were animals! I hope Emmett and his family get justice. May he be happy and free in heaven. I pray that the hate stops. It's still happening today with Amaud Arbery. God let there be peace in this world. 🙏

I remember reading about this and seeing the photo of this baby in jet magizine when I was 8. That was 30 years ago.. Broke my heart then and does to this day. God bless us all.

The fact that these women are still young and vividly remember this and is alive to share their memory on this is horrifying.

Carolyn Bryant has to live with that guilt of having Emmett till killed 65 years ago for the rest of her life.
