I hope you're all having a very lovely day!
Today I'm bringing you a quite unexpected bookshelf reorganization video, which is equally unexpectedly long!...well, who are we kidding, would it really be a CarolynMarieReads video if it wasn't extremely long??? :)
I was intending for these clips to go in my War and Peace weekly vlog, but I had so much footage that I thought it would make the most sense to have it be its own video! My next weekly War and Peace vlog will be coming soon after this one! :)
I also gave you all a little sneak peak at a few of my new On The Page author portraits which are coming to my Etsy shop very soon!!! Look out for a whole video about my Etsy shop update!!! I'm so excited for it, and I hope you are too! :)
This video can also give you a look at what books I have on my shelves (classics, contemporary, poetry, plays...all the books), as well as how I like to display them! A full bookshelf tour is coming soon, I promise!!!!!!! :)

I’m so excited for the new restock, I’m so curious for the Emily Dickinson one!! Italo Calvino’s short stories really blew my mind! The removal of Anne Brontë hurt, but Anne of Green Gables is definitely a beautiful replacement haha.

Hey Carolyn! Love your book collection! A book by an Italian author I think you would enjoy is "The moon and the bonfire" by Cesare Pavese. I would also like to recommend Wislawa Szymborska's poetry, if you haven't read her already. 🙃

I love your videos so much!❤️ I hope you will enjoy reading Turgenev and Bunin, because I really like their literature. I really admire you and your love to Russian literature, because I’m Russian. I wanted to recommend some books to you(books, that I really adore). It’s a novel “A hero of our time” by Mikhail Lermontov(It’s my favourite book) and a play “Woe from wit” by Alexander Griboyedov(this one I love so much too). I don’t really know why, but foreigners usually know only Tolstoy or Dostoevsky when you ask him about Russian writers, but there are a lot of other Russian poets and writers, who are really geniuses. I almost love Pushkin’s poetry and “Eugene Onegin”. I think you would like this works:))

there is a 1989 english language adaption of "torrents of spring" ( there is a russian adaptation from same period too ) one of whose two heroines, who is italian, and is played by valeria golino, looks a bit like you.
movie is not a great adaptation, but its not bad either.
somebody seems to have uploaded it recently to youtube , probably wont remain long.
