For example, if you wanna be home on the 27th, put your hometime in for the 26th at 8am. Thats pretty much any company because they dont always have loads going directly where you need to be. But give them plenty of notice to plan routes to get you home. Also, you need to understand how the clock works. It shows you on their tablets how many hours you get back, and when.
