Wonderful video Paul, so many photo opportunities and you captured them perfectly. I passed by there last year but never went to it, cursing myself now for not going. Thanks for sharing such a lovely video of one beautiful place 😁👍

Went to that place about 4 years ago after discovering a route on the 'WalkHighlands' site. You might also want to consider, 'The Birks of Aberfeldy' in Perthshire I think it is - a big wooded gorge, you can walk round it on an easy path, bit like Ingleton Falls but these falls are much bigger, there's a huge one in the middle with a footbridge over the top, it's very impressive, especially in Autumn.

Fabulous photos, Paul, but couldn't help feeling that the colours were a little too intense and vivid for my liking. That could be my new monitor though, I might not have it fully adjusted yet.
So far I've only managed to visit one photo location that I've seen on TH-cam, that was the bluebell wood in Whalley you recommended spring this year or last year. Just walking from Whalley town centre to the wood practically finished me off, then it started raining heavily so I called it a day. Must get fitter!

The colours could be a little hard.. i am sorry you never quite made it.. maybe next time

Right on my doorstep virtually. McInroy's Point, where you got the ferry to Dunoon, is about 5-10 mins drive from my front door, so this video was a lovely wee surprise, seeing so many familiar locations. A wee word of warning though, don't let the locals hear you talk about a roll and sausage, we call it a slice roll!! lol Great video as always.

    • @paulcomptonpdphotography
      @paulcomptonpdphotography  ปีที่แล้ว

no way, bet you have some great images from there

Definitely. I'm only a short drive away from Loch Lomond, Dumbarton Rock (ancient castle on a volcanic plug), etc, a photographer's delight.

I used to live on the Firth of Clyde, in fact I lived right beside one of the tourist tags on your Google map in a Victorian cottage above the beach. Ha, the good old days, snowed in and having to cut down a tree for firewood ... less romantic than it sounds.
I have said before, why are you driving past so many good locations to go to Glencoe and take the guidebook shots? Argyle is a landscape photographers paradise. Its Central Scotland, not Southern Scotland, not Highlands either. Technically Puck's Glen is a 'Temperate Rainforest' as the humidity doesn't drop too low and the sunlight doesn't often get directly to the floor, which allows the moss to grow. You'd love the 'Rest and Be Thankful' pass, which is not far from where you were, the Arrochar Alps etc, etc.
Its an 'egg and square doubler', no need to mention sausage, without the egg its just a 'roll and square'. It beats a McMuffin breakfast any day. It puts hair on your sporran 😁

i think i have been throught the Rest and Be Thankful pass on my motorbike years ago.. i am going to plan a visit in the area as i am looking for a place near Lochgilphead i have to pop to..

Wow what a an amazing place Paul.
Definitely got to be square sausage in a Scottish roll.
You must have taken hundreds of image's.
That place was out of this world to photograph.
    You captured some amazing image's.
Definitely one for my bucket list.
Look forward to the next one mate.

What a gem of a location, Paul. Well worth the visit for sure. My only comment on the processed images would be that the greens are consistently a little over-saturated to my eye, but maybe that was the style you wanted to achieve

Love your enthusiasm for this place, Paul. It's been on my list to visit since I saw it on, I think, John McKenna's channel. It's an amazing glen with so many picture opportunities. Great pictures, too!

I found this place by accident while I was stating in Dunoon and was looking for places to go. And what a place. One of the most beautiful places I have seen so far. Also on the return to Dumbarton/Glasgow there is a place call The Devils Pulpit which is worth exploring but is more tricky to find and get down.
