I used to have to watch videos in 480p and it would still buffer a lot. Then I decided you know what Im putting 100ft of ethernet cable through my walls. Was 10 feet off so I had to buy a coupler sadly. Now I can watch in 4k with no buffering.

you can technically use the nvidia surround feature to Redneck sli with it (with some weird stuff from them not being able to sync like quadros), but considering they accomplished it with a card equivalent to a gtx 1080 there's really no point to a better gpu.@@leonro
I think it needed to be 9 or 25 screens becasue one monitor needs to be in the middle. Otherwise you cannot aim. Or just use 15 and make it 5x3. One spare monitor is a good idea nevertheless for this setup ;-)

Knubz that's not how you math. 4x4 4ks is 16k. 8x8 4ks is 32k. 16x16k monitors is 64k. Honestly at that point the setup is bigger than a garage, unless you wait for 8k monitors to be mainstream.
How it works = its the resolution that matters, how many 4k's pixels (3840x2160) you can fit into 8k (7680×4320) resolution? Thats right 4 times the amount. It's not 4x4 = 16, its 3840*2 by 2160*2, very simple math.
kenny ricardo well when a product is simply unveiled, there is usually a sizable gap between unveiling and release. It is most likely an early prototype and we havent even gotten 4k 120hz so the 8k monitor is probably gonna be 24hz. Besides, integrated graphics are already choking on 4k displays. 8k? Nope, so even less people will buy it. Finally, 4k has already pixels SO TINY that really anything more will be a minimal difference, AT ALL. All in all it's probably just a "Look at what we're doing! :D"

I don't get how people game on an even-numbered multimonitor setup at all. I took a couple old 4:3 LCDs and use them on either side for a super-ultra-wide setup on games that support it though.
Eh more like whenever they get their hands on ampere based quadros. If they just need to get it to run minecraft at 60 fps I think those might nearly be able to push 4 8k monitors. This was done on 4 p5000s. So 4 a8000s (or whatever they call the next gen RTX 8000s) should be close.

NVidia probably won’t put out another round of graphics cards that have new performance until 2020, which means in 2022 it will only be 2 generations ahead of current. Looking at the current trend, that means that the XX70 card will probably run 4K 60 decently and will cost around $600. So no. Not gonna happen

Knubz that's not how you math. 4x4 4ks is 16k. 8x8 4ks is 32k. 16x16k monitors is 64k. Honestly at that point the setup is bigger than a garage, unless you wait for 8k monitors to be mainstream.
Meemo what bothers me is that dell (i think) has released a working 8K monitor at CES. Why no released product yet?
How it works = its the resolution that matters, how many 4k's pixels (3840x2160) you can fit into 8k (7680×4320) resolution? Thats right 4 times the amount. It's not 4x4 = 16, its 3840*2 by 2160*2, very simple math.
kenny ricardo well when a product is simply unveiled, there is usually a sizable gap between unveiling and release. It is most likely an early prototype and we havent even gotten 4k 120hz so the 8k monitor is probably gonna be 24hz. Besides, integrated graphics are already choking on 4k displays. 8k? Nope, so even less people will buy it. Finally, 4k has already pixels SO TINY that really anything more will be a minimal difference, AT ALL. All in all it's probably just a "Look at what we're doing! :D"

I don't get how people game on an even-numbered multimonitor setup at all. I took a couple old 4:3 LCDs and use them on either side for a super-ultra-wide setup on games that support it though.

Eh more like whenever they get their hands on ampere based quadros. If they just need to get it to run minecraft at 60 fps I think those might nearly be able to push 4 8k monitors. This was done on 4 p5000s. So 4 a8000s (or whatever they call the next gen RTX 8000s) should be close.

It's not constant value. At 10m probably you won't see differences between 1080p and 4k, but at 30cm you will see differences between 32k and 64k ;)

NVidia probably won’t put out another round of graphics cards that have new performance until 2020, which means in 2022 it will only be 2 generations ahead of current. Looking at the current trend, that means that the XX70 card will probably run 4K 60 decently and will cost around $600. So no. Not gonna happen
