Joel, you say present day Israel is described by Ezekiel 38 as 'living in safety' and 'a peaceful and unsuspecting people'...... is that how modern Israelis feel, given the Arab-Israeli conflict? I don't know, I don't live there.
@@Beth-ju7nb Good question. It may very well be after the antichrist's establishment of the pre-tribulation peace treaty between Israel and it's many enemies. I'm not sure if it fits, but..... Now ya have me wondering myself.🤔 Very gooooood question.
@@hoosierhyperwatch5884 its because Ezekiel 38 happens at the end of the thousand years of peaceful reign of Christ in Israel Rev. 20. Ezekial 39 is the Gog and Magog happening in Armageddon.

Thanks, brother. I have been very open-minded about these Ezekiel chapters, even though I tend to believe that they're talking about Armageddon. I've asked people who think they're talking about a separate invasion to show me why I'm wrong about them being Armageddon, but no one has been able to explain it. And it's s sincere request, because I'm not completely sure either way. But it seems to me that the Armageddon explanation makes the most sense.

Joel, in a recent Revelation session (or two) you and Dalton talked about a special, God -given wisdom for those who are seeking to understand His truth as the end draws closer and closer…the name “maskalim” being used (my spelling, as I heard it). My small group decided to take that next week to each look into the definition, see if we could find some background on it; nobody was able to find anything… can you elaborate more on this specific term, it’s origin, where we might read a bit more about it, etc… it was very interesting; can’t tell you enough about how much our small group is enjoying going through the revelation study week by week! Thank you

How spectacular, beautiful and consistent is God's Word! I just finished reading both Rev. 20 (the final war, and the ultimate and complete annihilation of Gog, his minions and of Satan -in verse 10, followed by the judgement at the great throne seat culminating with the new heaven and a new earth(in ch 21:1). Then I read Ezekiel ch.38-39 -that clearly depicts a different picture where birds and beast of the fields do the organic matter clean-up (Ez.39:4) and Israel will use the left-over armor/weaponry as fuel for 7 years(Ez. 39:9). The pinnacle here being the restauration, redemption and outpouring of God's Spirit over the house of Israel(Ez. 39:25-29 - text that parallels Zachariah 12:10) .Just checking on you Joel, like the Bereans did to Ap. Paul!🤔Keep up the good work cause it all makes sense!

Why does in Daniel's Prophecy the Battle of "Gog in Magog" start before the Tribulation (Daniel's 70th Week) begins/starts while in the Book of Revelation, it will start/begin AFTER the Millenial Reign of Christ? Are there 2 Events of the Battle of "Gog in the Land of Magog" which mean BEFORE and AFTER the Battle of ARMAGEDDON?... Anyone, please explain... thanks in advance...
Can you talk about how we should be worship Jesus and elaborate about what we should be doing every day to make god happy in the midst of our busy lives. I think this is important because I want to do what god want me to do. Can you talk about this to make clear the relationship we should be having.
I am glad I found these videos. Joel, I am a little confused by one thing you talked about... regarding differences between Ezekiel 39:4 and Revelation 20:9. You point out that in Ezekiel, it says they will be prey in the field for birds and animals, and in Revelation it says that fire will come down from heaven and devour them.... so they must be two different events. However, Ezekiel 39: 6 also says, '“And I will send fire upon Magog and those who inhabit the coastlands in safety; and they will know that I am the Lord." Additionally, is it not possible that after being eaten by birds and animals of the field, any remains left are devoured by fire coming down from heaven? I am not trying to argue with you but just want to clear up any misunderstanding I may be having in reading the two passages. I am always a stickler for details so thanks for any help clearing this up.
Joel and his group do lie. don't fall for their deceptions. Stick to the details the Bible will not lie to you. there is one Gog and Magog battle and its at the end of the 1000 year rule of Jesus on earth.
Woe to the idol [good for nothing] shepherd that leaveth [apostatise] the flock! the sword shall be upon his arm, and upon his right eye: his arm [help] shall be clean dried up, and *his right eye shall be utterly darkened* {Zechariah 12:17}
So, if Ezekiel 38/39 is different than Rev 20 Armageddon, then when does Ezekiel 38/39 war on the timeline? Did I miss you mentioning the time of the war? I agree both Ezek & Rev are two different wars for the simple reason Israel will not be burying their enemy into or after the Millennium. When is the Ezekiel 38.39 war on the end time timeline?

Joel, I hope that you touch on the 7 months that Israel is burying the dead. Did we just cross over into the mellenium there? Or is this still inside the 70th week? I've been scratching my head on this one.
I think these 7 months likely fall within the millennium. There are actually a number of descriptions of rebuilding that seem to take place during the Messianic age. Check out Isaiah 61:4 (all of Isaiah 60-62 seems to be a description of this Messianic age with Christ ruling on earth). There's a theme of people "beating their swords into plowshares" (Isaiah 2:4, Micah 4:3) which seems to suggest that people will be repurposing the ruins of this time during this rebuilding process as well. It's reasonable to imagine that after the great tribulation, there will be some cleanup work to do for some time.
The 7 months is in the first year of the 7 year tribulation period. The battle of Gog from the land of Magog is the event that will start the 7 year tribulation period.
What is the Church's official position on contradictions in the Bible? I can't find any so am I reading the Bible wrong? Like the dif between Lord and LORD is a Lord on Earth realm and a LORD is Immortal realm, right? Is that how its officially thought of?
LORD, Lord, lord,,, The former is YHVH the father, and deity, God. the middle is a king or master, foreman, no deity, not God. and the latter is head of a household or leader of a group, again no deity, not God. Ps 110.1 in Hebrew, is a good example of LORD and Lord, or lord,, in Hebrew Adonai means YHVH, and deity, also God, and is the first LORD in that Ref,,, and the second instance is Lord or lord adoni, meaning king or master or foreman, and or a head of household....the prefix in most bibles have this information on the definition of LORD, Lord, and lord,,,, but most folks do not read the prefix definitions, and or addenda of a book,,, hope this helps,,,, shalom... O Joel, I can't find where it is on your video, but Ezek. 39:26 has past tense 'dwelt' which your quote on the screen, a typo, i think, or a different translation, put as present tense 'dwell'. Small matter. Keep sharing. God bless you and thank you for your work. As for me, I am ashamed that i have known the Scriptures so long and have so little understanding and discipline.
Hello Joel, once again thank you! I agree with everything you mentioned here, but I do have a question : Is the "Beast mentioned in Rev 19 also the Anti Christ? If so, it states that he is captured and thrown alive into the lake of fire. Ezekiel states that Gog is killed in Israel and is buried there. Daniel 7 states that the beast is killed and his body given over to fire. Habakkuk 3 states that the head of the house of the wicked (most believe to be the Anti Christ) is killed by Christ. Thanks in advance for any help on this. Rev 19:20And the beast was captured, and with it the false prophet who in its presence had done the signs by which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped its image. These two were thrown alive into the lake of fire that burns with sulfur. Ezekiel 39:11“On that day I will give to Gog a place for burial in Israel, the Valley of the Travelers, east of the sea. It will block the travelers, for there Gog and all his multitude will be buried. It will be called the Valley of Hamon-gog. Daniel 711“I looked then because of the sound of the great words that the horn was speaking. And as I looked, the beast was killed, and its body destroyed and given over to be burned with fire. Habakkuk 3:13You went out for the salvation of your people, for the salvation of your anointed. You crushed the head of the house of the wicked, laying him bare from thigh to neck.
Whenever the claim is made that Antichrist and Gog are the same individual, a common objection brought up goes something like this: “The Antichrist cannot be Gog, because the Antichrist is cast alive into the lake of fire (Revelation 19:20) whereas Gog is buried (Ezekiel 39:11).” This is an excellent example of forming an opinion about a matter without consulting the fuller mosaic of Scriptural references concerning a particular issue. When we do consider the full counsel of the Bible on this matter, we find that the Antichrist will most definitely be killed by Jesus and his body will buried in a mass grave. Let’s look at the evidence. First, let us note that Daniel informs us that the Beast/Antichrist will be killed: Then I kept looking because of the sound of the boastful words which the horn was speaking; I kept looking until the beast was slain, and its body was destroyed and given to the burning fire.(Daniel 7:11) Later, in chapter 11, we again read of the Antichrist’s death: He will pitch the tents of his royal pavilion between the seas and the beautiful Holy Mountain; yet he will come to his end, and no one will help him. (Daniel 11:45) In a powerful passage describing the return of Jesus, Habakkuk the prophet gives us a graphic visualization of the Antichrist’s death: You (Jesus) will come out to save your people, to save your anointed. You will crush the head of the house of the wicked and lay him open from thigh to neck. (Habakkuk 3:13) It is Isaiah the prophet however, who specifically informs us that the Antichrist, although he considers himself a King, will not be buried in a royal sepulcher, but will instead be buried with the bodies of others in a mass grave. The prophecy begins by addressing Satan, but bleeds almost seamlessly into a rebuke of the actual man, the Antichrist: …You said in your heart, ‘I will ascend to heaven; I will raise my throne above the stars of God, and I will sit on the mount of assembly, in the recesses of the north. ‘I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.’ “Nevertheless you will be thrust down to Sheol, to the recesses of the pit. “Those who see you will gaze at you, they will ponder over you, saying, ‘Is this the man who made the earth tremble, who shook kingdoms, who made the world like a wilderness and overthrew its cities, who did not allow his prisoners to go home?’ All the kings of the nations lie in glory, each in his own tomb. But you have been cast out of your tomb like a rejected branch, clothed with the slain who are pierced with a sword, who go down to the stones of the pit like a trampled corpse.” (Isaiah 14) In the New Testament, the Apostle Paul cites Isaiah 11 and also informs us that the Antichrist will be slain by Jesus when He returns: Then that lawless one will be revealed whom the Lord will slay with the breath of His mouth and bring to an end by the appearance of His coming. (2 Thessalonians 2:8) In light of the full range of Scriptural evidence, we see that the Antichrist will both be killed and his body buried in a mass grave, covered with the bodies of others who were slain with him. How then should we understand the reference in Revelation 19:20 to the beast being cast ‘alive’ into the lake of fire? We have a few options. First, this portion of John’s vision may simply be communicating the victory of Christ over the Antichrist and the false prophet, but is not to be understood as literal. Second, Revelation could simply be referring to the conscious souls of these two men as they are cast into the fire to experience eternal torment. Third, we may understand this literally, but not as something that happens immediately upon Christ’s return. Thus, although he will be killed when Jesus returns, he will also be cast into the lake of fire after the literal physical resurrection of the wicked (Daniel 12:1-2) to consciously experience the torments of hell. Regardless as to which view one takes, the claim that the Antichrist cannot be the same as Gog because one is buried and the other thrown alive into the fire is seen to be a fallacy that is not in accordance with the full counsel of Scripture.
@@JoelRichardson , again thank you Joel for this...yes, I forgot to mention the Isaiah 14 passages (I was just rereading those yesterday)...anyway, I agree that Gog in Ezekiel is the Anti Christ, but I was and am just trying to rectify all the passages with Revelation 20 and that was throwing me a bit off my groove so to speak :) . I actually wondered the other day that since Gog is killed as recorded in all the passages you quoted (and at that time of Christ's coming and setting up His kingdom) that what if Gog, like Satan is released/resurrected/raised/spit out from Hell (unchained and set free from the Abyss for Satan) to go forth for the last rebellion at the end of the Millennial Kingdom and at that time he is cast alive into the Lake of Fire? However, as I write this I also realize that the false prophet is also cast alive at what appears to be at the same time as the beast...both into the lake of Fire...so I don't know...probably a foolish thought. Anyway, Joel, I've been watching both you and Dalton for a number of years now, and am always telling others of your great studies online. Keep up the great work! Thank you for your time! :) OK I'll go back to composing my next Floydian album. :)
Joel and FAI are lying. I have no platform or following or anything like that. I'm uneducated but the phrase "consulting the fuller mosaic of Scriptural references concerning a particular issue" is confusing because it's what they do when they are caught in a lie. Gog and Magog is one battle. Ezekiel 37-38 happens during the 1000 year kingdom. don't fall for their lies.
@@audioillustrator5338 I agree that there is confusion between these passages and am not content with Joel's explanation. The Bible is always accurate, that I know. Therefore there will be another Gog and Magog uprising after the millenium.
The seven-headed, ten-horned wild beast out of the sea, represents Satan’s political organization that is tumbled into oblivion; and along with it goes the false prophet or seventh world power. While it’s still alive or functioning in united opposition to Gods people, they’re cast into the lake of fire. The wild beast and the false prophet are not literal animals, so the lake of fire symbolizes complete destruction. Later, death and Hades as well as the Devil himself will be hurled there. It’s not an inferno of eternal torment for the wicked, since the very idea of such a place is detestable to God!
Joel, There is a noteworthy difference between the Battle of Gog/Magog and the Battle of Armageddon that must be taken into account and that is.... MOTIVE!!! The stark contrast between them proves they ARE NOT one in the same, as you have alluded to. The Bible clearly explains Gog’s motive in Ezekiel 38:12-13, is TO PLUNDER AND PREY UPON THE LAND OF ISRAEL AND ITS PEOPLE, whereas, the armies of the Beast Kingdom (Revelation 17:12-14, 19:19) are gathered having one purpose of mind; TO MAKE WAR AGAINST GOD AND HIS ARMY. The former taking place just prior to the commencement of the 7yr Tribulation Period (Rev. 6:12-17) and the latter at its end.
@@robertrecchia2642 Robert, I believe Revelation 6:12-17 describes the Gog/Magog invasion, which takes place under the loosing of the 6th Seal. This takes place just prior to the 7yr Trib. How do I know this? Because the 7yr Trib does not begin until Revelation Chapter 8. One can argue that the 2nd Gog/Magog war takes place at the end of the 7yr Trib.
Joel. Thanks again for your work brother. I’m finally reading Mideast Beast (for free thanks!) after a couple years of following you and Dalton through YT. One thing I struggle with is understanding the prophets. Do you have any material (or suggestions) for a list of chapters and verses that are past tense fulfilled, dual prophecies fulfilled partially and yet to be fulfilled, and those that are yet future and never fulfilled. I have such a hard time. I can stumble through it perhaps better than most but it all gets so overwhelming. I’d love some scholarly help. Thanks!!
Bill Salus has done a lot of research on the scriptures and prophecies by dividing them into: The Fulfilled prophecies, The Now Prophecies, The Next prophecies, The Last prophecies, The Final prophecies and The Millennial prophecies. His books have not been made free in any form but he has made countless numbers of appearances on various Christian programs. And those appearances should give you a pretty good idea of the sequence of the fulfillment of all of these end time prophecies. Hope this will be helpful.
Ya can probably even Google that answer, anything published is books will be on Google, that way your not only finding 1 source or references, you find many, and probably different views on how thing were or weren't or partially fulfilled and different views of fulfillment.
This is actually harder than it sounds because so many prophesies have echoes and multiple layers and dimensions of fulfillment. Partial fulfillments in the past, partial fulfillment in the present, ultimate fulfillment in the future. For example, is Isaiah 61 fulfilled? Jesus read the first few verses of this passage in the synagogue (Luke 4:16-30) and declared that it was fulfilled. But what's interesting is that Isaiah 60-62 seem to be describing the fully restored Israel in the messianic age, when Christ is actually ruling on the ground. So was Isaiah 61 fulfilled or not? Jesus says it is (at least the verses he quoted), and this is partially where some preterists are coming from. They would look at Isaiah 60-62 and say it's ALL already and completely fulfilled because of what Jesus said. I think a more thorough understanding of prophecy is that it's both. There's a sense in which Isaiah 61 was fulfilled by Jesus historically, and there's an ultimate fulfillment to come. The more you spend time in prophecy the more you'll see these echoes and layers of fulfillment. If fact, I encourage you to think of these prophecies not in such strict 'past' and 'future' categories (although some prophecies are clearly future and some do have very clear past fulfillment), but to think of them being true for all time. Even prophecies that seem to have total fulfillment in history (such as Ezekiel 26) might very well have a future layer of fulfilllment, and we don't want to box God's word in and say Ezekiel 26 is only about the past when it may be more. When you start to see these layers of fulfillment, they become even more amazing and God's word seems even more powerful and true.
Great question! A nice and easy way to get a grasp on future prophecies is to recognize terms like “Day of the Lord”, “the Day”, “that Day”, etc and phrases like “in that Day”. Also look for prophecies that describe God being physically on the earth.
Revelation 20 only the beheaded and survivors of the tribulation take part in the First Resurrection, only the tribulation saints reign with Jesus for the thousand years. Daniel 12 2 GOOD and evil people wake together
@@MamaNewGuinea You tell me, you said Matthew 24 says that the rapture comes after the events of Matthew 24, I don't see that anywhere in the entire chapter. That's why I asked how do you know this, in other words, what does it say indicating this to you? If you narrow it down to some specific verses you're referring to, we can discuss that. My comment was saying that the entire chapter doesn't say what you're claiming, so for me to answer your non-specific question, would be to quote the entire chapter since I see the entire thing not saying what you're saying.
Joel, awesome teaching as always. Question, Ezekiel 39:5 Gog (Antichrist) is killed because the Lord has spoken. Thus being the same as Daniel 8:25 , 2nd Thessalonians 2:8, and Revelation 19: 20-(21). If so it's perfectly clear to me that Ezekiel 38/39 is the same battle as Armageddon. And does Daniel 8:14 have anything to do with Ezekiel ch 40? Oh and your killing me with the Chief's shirt...
Magog=Valley of the traveler Armageddin=Valley of Megeddo Ps83 war, Ezek 38 & 39 Magog Ezek 40 3rd Temple & Anti-christ.... Many other events as well, Chronology of some events uncertain....
Ezekiel and Revelation Gog and Magog are 2 different events. That's what Walid Shoebat is trying to explain, There are some Sentences/expression used in middle east that does not match when we interpret and translate it in english langguage.
God Bless you for your studies! I'm a prewrath and premillennialist. Is Gog a theological title then referring to the Antichrist before the millennium and in Rev 20:7-9 Gog as the theological title then for Satan after the millennium?
Hey Howard, I am like you being a pre-wrath/premillennialist and hold to a literal interpretation when the Bible does not specifically interpret a passage! This is how I see this apparent duality concerning Gog and Magog… I beheld then because of the voice of the great words which the horn spake: I beheld even till the beast was slain, and his body destroyed, and given to the burning flame. As concerning the rest of the beasts, they had their dominion taken away: yet their lives were prolonged for a season and time. Daniel 7:11-12 KJV We know that the beast and his kingdom that is diverse than all other kingdoms will be destroyed at Christ’s coming and then he will set up His eternal kingdom. Gog and Magog will be present at Armageddon with the other nations that come against Israel but after the 4th kingdoms destruction Daniel 7:12 declares the rest of the beasts (world powers) Will have their dominion taken away however their lives will be prolonged for a time in season. That is why the nations and Gog and Magog will be able to come after the millennial reign and surround the holy city and be burnt up By God. Please let me know if this seems to make sense, thank you
@@Scatteringseeds Thanks for the constructive insight to my question that I had concerning Gog and Magog using the book of Daniel to piece meal the duality of the terms Gog. It has been extremely helpful by putting things in its proper context. God Bless You Brother and thanks again
Revelation 20 4-6 only the beheaded and survivors of the tribulation take part in the First Resurrection. Only the tribulation saints reign with Jesus for the thousand years. Daniel 12 2 GOOD and evil people wake together
Yes, "...the nations at the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them for battle" suggests that this does not refer to (a) specific nation(s) that we can identify but rather those who are deceived by Satan into rallying against Israel
@@DarkSlayer010 Yes, as for the Gog and Magog mentioned in Revelation 20:8, I regard this as the attack on the camp of the saints, who are spiritual Israel, the Body of Christ. I see this as the second resurrection, when the rest of the dead emerge onto the plain like the sand of the sea.
@@mytwocents777you got one very important word incorrect in that verse: it’s four *_quarters_* of the earth, whereas in the verses before it was four *_corners._* But ask yourself, why? Why the change?
@@michaelseay9783 In both Revelation 7:1 and 20:8, the original word is, in fact, "γωνίαις" (gōniais = corners/angles) [Strong's #1137] in the various Greek source texts. In the KJV, however, verse 7:1 says "corners" while in 20:8 it is changed to "quarters". This difference exists only in the translation, and the reason for it is that the translators chose to translate the same Greek word differently in the two places for some reason.
Joel, what is your understanding of Gog being buried in Israel Ezekiel 39:11 while the Anti-christ being cast alive into the lake of fire? Revelation 19:20
Thanks Joel. Perhaps, to help, those following this teaching should look at Zechariah 14:12-21. Verse 12 describes what the Lord does to the armies that attack Jerusalem. That plague is not an atomic bomb or a massive lightning bolt if is an instant plague or deliverance we have not yet encountered (depending what army you are with i.e. Jerusalem or it's enemies). The people who populate the world at that time will repopulate the world during the millennium to supply the masses that turn against Jesus and the Saints in the final Gog/Magog battle at the end of Revelation 20. The followers of your teaching should note when Jesus returns to start the millennium reign he does not destroy the world or the countries who sent the armies but he does destroy the armies. Jesus reigns with a rod of iron even to the point of destroying people with the same plague he destroyed the armies attacking Jerusalem when Jesus returned. Special notice should be taken the devil is chained/contained in the bottomless pit so the root of their rebellion against the Lord is all their own. Jesus uses the rod of iron because not all the inhabitants of earth during the millennium are "happy campers." After the fire of destruction that consumes the devils minions is the second and final resurrection leading to the white throne of judgment. Thanks for toughing this out.
And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea
@@_familyMAN Revelation 20:4-5 Should make people wonder where the population of the whole world that gets deceived (verses 7-8) comes from. Zechariah 14:16! Some seem to think that only people dedicated to God will be around at that time but that takes ignoring all the prophecies about Christ ruling with a rod of iron. Christ is not only enforcing rules he is also meting out death penalties. There has been a disconnect between scripture and interpretation.
gog is the beast a giant a wicked hybrid ive told this to my dad 90yrs old for years but hes a traditional schofield man well it wont send you to hell thank goodness
I wish you and Dalton would get together with Dave Robbins from End of the Ages, Amir Tsarfati from Behold Israel, Jimmy Evans from Tipping Point, and in love and kindness consider your differences on prophecy and learn from each other. You all believe in Jesus and could probably learn from each other.
Hello Joel, please take another look at Ezekiel 38. The middle section called "in the latter years" (8b-16a) is the post millennium attempt at war by another Assyrian "gog like instrument of death" possessed by satan. That section is Revelation 20's account. The time of "dwelling safely is talking about the Millennium when Jesus dwells in their midst. Israel will be desolate looking for several years after Jesus Returns. The rest of Ezekiel 38 and 39 concern the "in the latter days" section of these chapters and is the war on Israel during the 70th Week of Daniel that punishes and purges her.
I'm still confused on the 1000 yrs. This comes after the rapture, after the 7 yr tribulation right? But what exactly happens after the 7 yr trib? Is there another 1000 yrs tacked onto this prison sentence on earth? Does that mean humanity continues for generations again? What happens to those who were raptured...are they lying in wait again? I thought evil was suppose to be wiped out after the 7 yrs. Why would this go on again?
Great tribulation > 1,000 year reign > Satan released after 1,000 years > Armageddon battle > Judements and rewards. That is the timeline as it is read. The question many arent asking or seeing in the scriptures is this: When Yahuah (Christ) spoke to the crowd, He was speaking "directly to His audeince". "THIS generation shall NOT pass away, before these things come to pass." He was not speaking to an unknown audience, 2,000 years later........that narrative comes from tax exempt churches, that are required to teach what the government approves, or they lose their 501.3c status. He said He would come back foe His disciples and that some of them would NOT taste death, before His return...... Now, that, coupled with coins found, that have dates stamped "i1, i374 or j1, j687, etc" are found scattered all over......and we are told that thr i and j really mean 1.......they do not and were purposely marked as such with an i before the numbers. We are missing or have had hidden, a 1,000 years from our history.......bc they want to hide HIS-story from us. In short, the 1,000 years has already passed and we are in the short season, before the final battle. Why do you think they have eveeyone arguing ovet raptures......pre...mid...etc. If the enemy has us confused about where the Biblical timeline is, he can fool us all..........."For IF it were possible, even the elect would be decieved" I think there is enough for you to see, that Satan had changed times and laws already......... or......You can trust a man, sitting in a government controlled building, called a church, fleecing the sheep with a constructed narrative, to keep us from knowing the actual truths of what is going on.
@@jeffmoore6917 Jeff, Armageddon isn't mentioned in Revelation 20 following the 1,000 year reign. The exact location around Jerusalem where Gog and Magog surround the camp of God's people for the final rebellion isn't specified there. It's probably not Megiddo, in fact, because that's over 100 km from Jerusalem. Where Armageddon is mentioned is in Revelation 16, after the 6th bowl but before the 7th. Armageddon seems to be the culmination of the great tribulation, not the 1,000 year reign.
Jesus gets a thousand years to show people how Life on earth was supposed to be, Revelation 20 4-6 only the beheaded and survivors of the tribulation take part in the First Resurrection. Only the tribulation saints reign with Jesus for the thousand years. Daniel 12 2 and Revelation 20 12-15 GOOD and evil people wake together after the thousand year reign of Jesus
"Gog and Magog" are involved in both rebellions (before and after the 1,000 year reign) but there's really only one battle which is the first, Armageddon, and takes place after the sixth bowl (not the 7th trumpet), and appears to be the one described in Ezekiel 38-39 as Joel argues. The second battle isn't much of a battle and doesn't seem to take place in Megiddo. It appears to take place outside of Jerusalem and "Gog and Magog" and the armies associated with such are simply consumed by fire, apparently without a shot fired.
To clarify, G&M of Ez 38 is likely referring to past Roman conquest, and G&M of Rev 20 refers to future failed event? Scriptures are repeating cycles of Faithlessness, Punishment, Conquest, and Restoration
You need to watch the other videos from Joel and Dalthon. There is no Roman Conquest. Ez 38/39 will happen in the end of tribulation and before the 1000 years, and Rev 20 happens in the end of the 1000 years. Ez 38/39 describes an Arab invasion in the land of Israel.
If the events of Ezekiel 38-39 already happened, who was Gog exactly? I mean which actual person was he? How did he die? Look at the nations allied with Gog of Magog - Persia (modern day Iran), Cush (modern day Sudan) and Put (modern day Libya). When did Rome ever join with the armies of Persia and northern Africa to attack Israel? How does the land of Israel in the first century, which had been continuously inhabited by the Jews for hundreds of years, match up with the description in 38:8 as "a land that has recovered from war, whose people were gathered from many nations to the mountains of Israel, which had long been desolate?" Which historical events that accompanied a historical Roman invasion fulfilled the great earthquake, the mountains being overturned, the hailstones and the torrents of burning sulfur being rained down on Gog's hoards as described in v. 19-22? Which historical events fulfilled Gog's hoards "falling in an open field" and having fire rained down on them as described in 39 v5-6? If this already happened, how to explain what God said in 39:7 where He said that He will "no longer allow his holy name to be profaned?" Which historical events fulfilled the 7 months of the Israelites burying the bodies of Gog's armies described in 39:12? How would you explain that "from that day forward the people of Israel will know that I am the Lord their God" as described in 39:22? Which historical Roman invasion convinced the Israelites of this? Which historical events fulfilled the restored temple and restored Jerusalem which occur after this invasion and are described in chapters 40-48?
Can someone please explain if it is possible that the references to the forces of Gog being on "horses" is going to be literally fulfilled AFTER a limited nuclear war that reduces us all to a horse and wagon society. .or if the original Hebrew word translated "horses" can be used to refer to mechanised transport in certain contexts??
Horses are symbols for war, they don't have to be literal. For instance, Revelación 9:17: "And thus I saw the horses in the vision, and them that sat on them, having breastplates of fire, and of jacinth, and brimstone: and the heads of the horses were as the heads of lions; and out of their mouths issued fire and smoke and brimstone". As we can see, men ride horses (war vehicles) that are very lethal (as lions) and issue fire. In other verses, John describes a plague of locusts that don't touch crops, and that are "like unto horses preparing for battle", with iron breastplates and wings that sound like many horses charriots. Locusts are a symbol for hunger or struggle, since they normaly eat the crops. But these ones don't do so literally, so here, they are used to represent a war that is devastating for economy, and is also savage in the battle field, as the locusts have men face and lion teeth. As for the noisy wings, probably they describe the sound of airforce vehicles.
Mongolians are descendants of Gog and Mongolia used to be called Magog. They raided Israel on horses with bows and swords and they mysteriously just left or died after only 4 months. Now tanks, guns, and grenades. No one will use horses again at war as Ezekiel 38 says.
Acts 17:11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so. 2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:16 But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.
Nice exploration but not air tight. The exile of Israel is referred to in past tense in Ezekiel 38 and 39. So while the door is open to your assumption it is by no means a lock.
Snowden doesn't even believe in God. He listed himself as a Buddhist on his military recruitment form and his father in 2018 described him as a humanist. I think we should be looking for something or someone that at least matches the description. If Snowden starts prophesying, controlling the weather so that it doesn't rain, causing plagues on the earth, turning water into blood and spewing fire from his mouth to destroy God's enemies (whatever all that means - I think we'll know it when we see it) then I'll certainly be paying attention, but until then let's not be silly.

You forgot to keep reading. The fire seen in Rev 20:9 is later seen in Eze 39:6. They are first devoured by the birds, and later devoured by the fire from God. Eze 39:2-6 (NKJV) 2 “And you, son of man, prophesy against Gog, and say, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD: “Behold, I am against you, O Gog, the prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal; 2 and I will turn you around and lead you on, bringing you up from the far north, and bring you against the mountains of Israel. 3 Then I will knock the bow out of your left hand, and cause the arrows to fall out of your right hand. 4 You shall fall upon the mountains of Israel, you and all your troops and the peoples who are with you; I will give you to birds of prey of every sort and to the beasts of the field to be devoured. 5 You shall fall on the open field; for I have spoken,” says the Lord GOD. 6 “And I will send fire on Magog and on those who live in security in the coastlands. Rev 20:7-9 (NKJV) 7 Now when the thousand years have expired, Satan will be released from his prison 8 and will go out to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle, whose number is as the sand of the sea. 9 They went up on the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city. And fire came down from God out of heaven and devoured them.
Hi Joel. what is your take on Amos 9.9-15? If Gog is successful in uprooting and abducting Israel and spread the people among the gentiles again, what was 1948?
I'm sorry, but Ezekiel 38 does not describe today's Israel. 1. Israel has not been fully restored. 2. In the restoration, the 12 Apostles will be given 12 thrones and will judge the 12 tribes of Israel. 3. Have the 12 tribes each returned to their alloted lands? Absolutely not. 4. Israel is not, nor has it since 1948 lived, nor is living in peace. 5. Gog, in Ezekiel 38, believes that since Israel has not known nor been taught war in many years, it is an easy, unfenced prey. Now, it's possible, that under the rule of the false Messiah, for a few short years, there will be a false restoration of the kingdom and peace, which may be a set up by the Antichrist to have them attacked by a large army from the North in which the non-believing Israelites are killed or scattered and the faithful remnant, who know their true God, survive and ate given help, even before the return of Christ. However, this is not that Israel in Ezekiel 38, nor should the Gog war be construed to be the Battle of Armagheddon which is being waged when the Lord returns. Zeke 38 is either separate from both of these other wars, or is the same was as Rev. 20. We are better off saying we are not certain than attempting to Bonafi a doctrine which may be inaccurate, causing many to lose faith later.
I’ve always wondered this too. Perhaps God wants one final opportunity to rebel before eternity in the new heaven and new earth begins? Not sure? Only thing I’m sure of is God’s wisdom is supreme. There must be a reason even if we can grasp it.
I've had the perspective that God after taking out 2 of the 3 ememies of man (The World, The Flesh, and The Devil) that HE removes the world and the devil but allows the "sheep" to enter in their flesh to show once and for all that man will always disobey and rebell against HIM, no matter how good of conditions he lives in. Without part of God dwelling in us (Holy Spirit) we are just rebellious dust.
@@audioillustrator5338 I agree. There's something about man's heart that will still be rebellious even with Jesus on the ground ruling justly and the world SOOO much better than it is in this present age. After 1,000 years, people will forget how awful things were when we were in sin. Many generations will be born in that age and will not have consciously chosen to follow Jesus - they'll just be living in that age not respecting what brought them there. I imagine that at the beginning, Jesus will rule over a world full of people who love him. As time passes (1,000 years is quite a while), rebellion will grow in people's hearts, and there will be millions of willing vessels when Satan is released. I suppose it's not so different from where we are today. So much of our civilization is built upon the foundation of the law that God has given us. So much of science is built upon the foundation that the world is a rational place because it was built by a rational mind, and the assumption that the world CAN be understood. Even so, our age is dominated by people who want to throw these foundations aside and build something that they believe will be better in their own image. I think it will be the same way in God's kingdom with those who are born who didn't CHOOSE to follow Jesus in his kingdom. There will be one final sifting, and God will show us once again that we need him every moment and that those who choose him will be those who choose him with their whole hearts.
@@Wesstuntube , I agree with you. In fact I'm reminded of Psalm 2:3“Let us burst their bonds apart and cast away their cords from us.” Prior to the Millennial kingdom will be man's LAST self rule...at Christ's coming and the setting up His kingdom, ONLY He and His Bride (the church) will rule over the sheep (and their offspring) that are in His kingdom. No longer will they appoint their own leaders over rule themselves. So I think at the end of His 1000 years of reigning these people are hating their overlords (Christ and us) and want to break the bonds of our authority over them and set themselves "free" (which is fanned by Satan coming out of the abyss and deceiving them once more). Psalm 2: 8Ask of me, and I will make the nations your heritage, and the ends of the earth your possession. 9You shall break them with a rod of iron and dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.” Revelation 2:26The one who conquers and who keeps my works until the end, to him I will give authority over the nations, 27and he will rule them with a rod of iron, as when earthen pots are broken in pieces, even as I myself have received authority from my Father. Christ and His saints will rule the nations with a rod of Iron, which also means these people will be sinful and unruly. It also states in Zechariah 14:16Then everyone who survives of all the nations that have come against Jerusalem shall go up year after year to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, and to keep the Feast of Booths. 17And if any of the families of the earth do not go up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, there will be no rain on them. So in the Zechariah passage we see again people NOT obeying the laws of God during His reign, and in this case not going up to the Feast of Booths will result in NO rain in their land for that year. A punishment indeed! Finally in l Corinthians 15 it states: 25For He must reign until He has put all His enemies under His feet. 26The last enemy that will be abolished is death. We know that death and Hades is finally cast into the lake of fire at the Great White Throne Judgment, but prior to that judgment and during His reign, He must rule and subdue all His enemies...which means the inhabitants of His kingdom. Anyway those were just some thoughts about this from these particular scriptures.
There is an old saying where good men disagree tread lightly. Afrer 42 years of studing THE WORD OF GOD im convinced that these two battles are different. Gog vs magog before the rapture or starts the day of the rapture. Armageddon starts after the 1000 year rule of Christ on the throne of Isreal.
1000 year period, does it say the enemies of God will still be around but Israel will be safe? Would that mean that the only safe country will be Israel in that period?
Isaiah seems to suggesting that there will still be disputes, but that warfare will be put to an end. Isaiah 2:4 He will judge between the nations and will settle disputes for many peoples. They will beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will not take up sword against nation, nor will they train for war anymore.

Assemble yourselves, and come, all ye heathen, and gather yourselves together round about: thither cause thy mighty ones to come down, O LORD.
Let the heathen [unbelievers] be wakened, and come up to the valley of Jehoshaphat: for there will I sit to judge all the heathen round about.

That’s what this whole video explains.
Good explanation
Magog is the regional land that Gog (Antichrist) rules over.
I'd like to see a revisit to this conversation now after the Hamas attacks on oct. 7th.

Just as the prince of Persia was referring to a demon and a man, so it is with Gog. I think that sums it up

@@Wesstuntube Thank you. I will re-read these texts with that idea in mind. Your input is greatly appreciated.
In verse 6 of Ezekiel 39 the Lord says he will send a fire on Magog also.
Habakkuk 3:13You went out for the salvation of your people,
for the salvation of your anointed.
You crushed the head of the house of the wicked,
laying him bare from thigh to neck.
First, let us note that Daniel informs us that the Beast/Antichrist will be killed:
Then I kept looking because of the sound of the boastful words which the horn was speaking; I kept looking until the beast was slain, and its body was destroyed and given to the burning fire.(Daniel 7:11)
Later, in chapter 11, we again read of the Antichrist’s death:
He will pitch the tents of his royal pavilion between the seas and the beautiful Holy Mountain; yet he will come to his end, and no one will help him. (Daniel 11:45)
In a powerful passage describing the return of Jesus, Habakkuk the prophet gives us a graphic visualization of the Antichrist’s death:
You (Jesus) will come out to save your people, to save your anointed. You will crush the head of the house of the wicked and lay him open from thigh to neck. (Habakkuk 3:13)
It is Isaiah the prophet however, who specifically informs us that the Antichrist, although he considers himself a King, will not be buried in a royal sepulcher, but will instead be buried with the bodies of others in a mass grave. The prophecy begins by addressing Satan, but bleeds almost seamlessly into a rebuke of the actual man, the Antichrist:
…You said in your heart, ‘I will ascend to heaven; I will raise my throne above the stars of God, and I will sit on the mount of assembly, in the recesses of the north. But you have been cast out of your tomb like a rejected branch, clothed with the slain who are pierced with a sword, who go down to the stones of the pit like a trampled corpse.” (Isaiah 14)
In the New Testament, the Apostle Paul cites Isaiah 11 and also informs us that the Antichrist will be slain by Jesus when He returns:
Then that lawless one will be revealed whom the Lord will slay with the breath of His mouth and bring to an end by the appearance of His coming. (2 Thessalonians 2:8)
In light of the full range of Scriptural evidence, we see that the Antichrist will both be killed and his body buried in a mass grave, covered with the bodies of others who were slain with him.
OK I'll go back to composing my next Floydian album.
I think the Lord is referring to the past dispersion of Israel, not a future one. There is no future one
Why no mention of Revelation 19:11-21 wrt Ezekiel 38-39, and how does that gathering and battle relate to Revelation 20?
Let's just read into the text what isn't there and then claim that they don't fit.
Joel,
There is a noteworthy difference between the Battle of Gog/Magog and the Battle of Armageddon that must be taken into account and that is....
SM, The 2nd Gog Magog war cited in Revelation 20 is clearly post-millennium. (After Christ has ruled the Kingdom for 1000 years)
@@robertrecchia2642 Robert, I believe Revelation 6:12-17 describes the Gog/Magog invasion, which takes place under the loosing of the 6th Seal. This takes place just prior to the 7yr Trib. So do you guys put Ezekiel 38&39 at the midpoint in the tribulation?

Joel, awesome teaching as always. Question, Ezekiel 39:5 Gog (Antichrist) is killed because the Lord has spoken. This batt, happened, in the time, before the first century, during the time, of Alexander, the great.
This is how I see this apparent duality concerning Gog and Magog…
I beheld then because of the voice of the great words which the horn spake: I beheld even till the beast was slain, and his body destroyed, and given to the burning flame. As concerning the rest of the beasts, they had their dominion taken away: yet their lives were prolonged for a season and time.
Daniel 7:11-12 KJV
We know that the beast and his kingdom that is diverse than all other kingdoms will be destroyed at Christ’s coming and then he will set up His eternal kingdom.
What was the song that was playing in the background?
Yes, "...the nations at the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them for battle" suggests that this does not refer to (a) specific nation(s) that we can identify but rather those who are deceived by Satan into rallying against Israel
More like rallying against the saints, the spiritual Israel.
"Gog" is only a title, not a personal name
And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison
And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea

Some seem to think that only people dedicated to God will be around at that time but that takes ignoring all the prophecies about Christ ruling with a rod of iron. Christ is not only enforcing rules he is also meting out death penalties. There has been a disconnect between scripture and interpretation.
It seems to me like Eze 38 and Rev 20 are from different time periods.
They are different, one of the battles will start the 7 year tribulation and the other battle will take place at the end of the millennium.

The question many arent asking or seeing in the scriptures is this:
When Yahuah (Christ) spoke to the crowd, He was speaking "directly to His audeince".
"THIS generation shall NOT pass away, before these things come to pass."
He was not speaking to an unknown audience, 2,000 years later........that narrative comes from tax exempt churches, that are required to teach what the government approves, or they lose their 501.3c status.
If the enemy has us confused about where the Biblical timeline is, he can fool us all..........."For IF it were possible, even the elect would be decieved"
I think there is enough for you to see, that Satan had changed times and laws already.........
or......You can trust a man, sitting in a government controlled building, called a church, fleecing the sheep with a constructed narrative, to keep us from knowing the actual truths of what is going on.

Only the tribulation saints reign with Jesus for the thousand years. Daniel 12 2 and Revelation 20 12-15 GOOD and evil people wake together after the thousand year reign of Jesus
ARE THERE TWO BATTLES? One after the 7th trumpet and the other after the millennium reign. Which one is Armageddon and which one is Gog and Magog?
"Gog and Magog" are involved in both rebellions (before and after the 1,000 year reign) but there's really only one battle which is the first, Armageddon, and takes place after the sixth bowl (not the 7th trumpet), and appears to be the one described in Ezekiel 38-39 as Joel argues.
The second battle isn't much of a battle and doesn't seem to take place in Megiddo. It appears to take place outside of Jerusalem and "Gog and Magog" and the armies associated with such are simply consumed by fire, apparently without a shot fired.
@@Wesstuntube Thank you for the clarification!
How does the land of Israel in the first century, which had been continuously inhabited by the Jews for hundreds of years, match up with the description in 38:8 as "a land that has recovered from war, whose people were gathered from many nations to the mountains of Israel, which had long been desolate?"
Which historical events that accompanied a historical Roman invasion fulfilled the great earthquake, the mountains being overturned, the hailstones and the torrents of burning sulfur being rained down on Gog's hoards as described in v. 19-22?
Which historical events fulfilled Gog's hoards "falling in an open field" and having fire rained down on them as described in 39 v5-6?
If this already happened, how to explain what God said in 39:7 where He said that He will "no longer allow his holy name to be profaned?"
Which historical events fulfilled the 7 months of the Israelites burying the bodies of Gog's armies described in 39:12?
For instance, Revelación 9:17:
"And thus I saw the horses in the vision, and them that sat on them, having breastplates of fire, and of jacinth, and brimstone: and the heads of the horses were as the heads of lions; and out of their mouths issued fire and smoke and brimstone".
It is the same war, scripture interprets scripture!!! Revelation 20 is a quick summary, while Ezekiel 38 is a detailed explanation.
Correct answer is both Day of the Lord, and end of the Millennium.
Nice exploration but not air tight. The exile of Israel is referred to in past tense in Ezekiel 38 and 39. So while the door is open to your assumption it is by no means a lock.
Joel 3 v 16
Ezekiel 38 v 19
Revelation 6 v 14
Revelation 16 v 18
All look to be the same earthquake .
Could Snowden be 1 of the "2 witnesses"? He could be the "King" (government) side then we would only need the "Preistly" side🤔

Ezekiel 39 refers to Pre-1948
The brids are call to the battle of Armoggeden... To feed on flesh.... ?
What was the point of chaining them for a thousand years, then letting them out . Only to destroy them…. What was the purpose?
I’ve always wondered this too. Perhaps God wants one final opportunity to rebel before eternity in the new heaven and new earth begins? Not sure? Only thing I’m sure of is God’s wisdom is supreme. There must be a reason even if we can grasp it.
@@1-Michael-4 Which grouping of people is Satan kept from?
9You shall break them with a rod of iron and dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.”
Revelation 2:26The one who conquers and who keeps my works until the end, to him I will give authority over the nations, 27and he will rule them with a rod of iron, as when earthen pots are broken in pieces, even as I myself have received authority from my Father.
Isaiah 2:4
He will judge between the nations
and will settle disputes for many peoples.
They will beat their swords into plowshares
and their spears into pruning hooks.
Nation will not take up sword against nation,
nor will they train for war anymore.
