Gosh, I am so jealous of Chris! What a precious privilege to play with elephants and see a baby up close and personal. I'd give alot to experience that wonderfilul gift!! So sad for the dear injured elephant😢

It's not complicated. Enough you travel to Thailand and engage on learning it. I experienced riding elephants in India and Thailand.

For the elephant foot blown off…how about a cap of sorts like we put on furniture feet so not to scratch furniture but in this case it would go up to cover injury. It will cushion and level foot once healed…if ever! Just a thought. ❤️❤️❤️

It looks like Dr Chris is enjoying his second childhood. Please, don’t forget to divorce before you leave the country. 😅😊

Video is pretty sickening considering the amount of abuse these elephants go through at "sanctuaries" like this. Chris should be ashamed of himself, and I think the constant removal of negative comments pointing out just how egregious this really is, speaks volumes. This was such an amazing opportunity to highlight an actual safe haven for these gentle giants, but instead you all decided to glorify abuse and even participate. I'm sure this will be removed as well, but I will continue to post

Are you kidding me? Thai mahouts who work in elephant care, conservation, and rehabilitation are absolutely caretakers, and portraying them as immoral animal abusers is both ignorant and prejudiced.
It’s clear to me that you’re years behind the current discourse and need to update your perspective if you think conservation and care work in Thailand resembles anything like what you’ve described.

@ your ignorance is astounding. You are absolutely incorrect and YOU are the one who needs to do research. The video, Chris, and yourself included are all disgusting and perpetuating the abuse of these magnificent animals. Thai mahouts are vile

@baebymayday694 No, I’m not kidding you. It’s clear your ignorance is affecting your ability to do your own due diligence and I’d strongly suggest doing so in this case. You are wrong and it really is as simple as that. Are there actual sanctuaries in Thailand/the world which do an actual service to these animals? Yes, but this is NOT one of them. They are disgusting and anyone promoting them is just as vile

@@XxMalcolm You can't even define what's considered abusive in this video that and your comments alone tell me everything I need to know about your knowledge on Thai elephants and Thai culture and how elephants in Thailand have been domesticated for thousands of years. You're out here spreading misinformation from articles wrote by some ignorant people with extreme saviour complex who has never once learned about Thai elephants and Thai culture and decided to open your mouth instead of listening to the locals. Now that's the real ignorant.
Suffice to say all you did is just yapping, spitting racist BS and repeatedly painting these Thai Mahouts as "savage" or "abusive" so that you can feel better about yourself. While these same people you called "animal abuser" are the same group of people who evacuated these elephants from the floods a few months ago. Thankfully, These domestic elephants are well fully trained and used to Thai people to the point they are able to understand basic constructions. Just like every countries with their dogs and horses. Thai people and elephants have been coexist and rely on each other for centuries. Deal with it.👏👏👏
