For those who aren't aware: A spare adds the next bowl (not frame) to your points. A strike adds the next two bowls. SO, for example, a turkey is 300 + 200 + 100, since the first one counts both strikes after.
BECAUSE of that math, SPence could've won with a turkey at the end. +600 points places him just above Tyson

+WindyDelcarlo Unfortunately, that's not quite how the 10th frame works. You are correct that the first strike is 300 points, as it is the 100 for the strike + 200 for the next two strikes. However, the next two strikes do not count for their own points, as you never take two shots after them to determine their score. This is why the maximum points you can get in a frame is 300 (30 in a normal game) leading to a maximum total score of 3000 (300)

+WindyDelcarlo That's not how it works at the end though. Getting a strike on the 10th frame gives you 2 extra throws, however, you don't get any extra points for them as they are just added onto the strike from before. Therefore, a turkey on the last frame is only worth 300.
