Peter is one of the most fluid JiuJitsu players I’ve had the pleasure to roll with. He’s one of Byron’s students and is as tough as nails.

Absolutely beautiful. I see this harmonious convergence of details amongst the old school thought leaders in BJJ. I see Roy Dean point something out, and it triggers a memory of seeing Carlos Machado do the same thing... and it's reminiscent of something I saw Pedro Sauer do... and then Roy Dean mentions Relson showing him a thing... So few BJJ schools are truly systematic in their thinking, but this kind of stuff is where the system emerges.

This whole thing with the guard passing is silly to me. Because in a self defense situation I could care less, I would disengage or kick the guy in the kahoonas and walk away and let the guy lay there on the ground like a baffoon with his legs spread eagle! Same in a sport situation, if I'm in someone's guard they don't necessarily have the advantage. I'm not going to lay there and try to do all of that ridiculous maneuvering. A lot of these newer BJJ guys have lost the art of efficiency with too much bs!! Moving someone's legs out of the way is not that freakin hard, come on!!
