    I grew up in Brookline and work in Brookline. I never understood the fascination. Houses on top of each other, nowhere to park, no backyard, high taxes and a lot of traffic. I would move 10 miles away and save a half million.

    Great video , is it true that there is limited parking and one has to pay 💰 a good amount every month for a parking bay if you rent an apartment

      Yes, a lot of people have gotten rid of their car (renters) simply because of the expense when they can get around via public transportation. This is in areas like Coolidge Corner and along the Beacon street and Commonwealth Ave lines. When you get into areas of single family homes, they have garages and driveways. Makes the town feel quieter at night. No cars on the street!

    Thank you for this informative video. I am currently mulling a move from Switzerland to Boston. Southern Brookline seems right up our street and initially we would rent. What is the best online resource for looking for rental properties?

      Try Zillow, you may need and agent , some listings are from the owner. Be prepared to pay one months rent as your agents fee. Try first in your own. If it’s September, you will be in deep competition with students. 😬

      @@bostonandtheburbsrealestate thank you! Regarding the financials, that is no problem. Regarding competition with students, I think I would be in a different market.

      @bostonandtheburbsrealestate  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      a challenge. You need to have a spot. It's in the video- for overnight parking. not allowed on the streets overnight.

    where can I learn Hebrew language in Brookline?

    • @bjmurray1842
      @bjmurray1842 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Almost anywhere. There are several Temples and Hebrew schools. Just look it up. I've lived in Brookline Village for 21 years. The above is not the most descriptive video of life here. But I can tell you that there is a lovely Jewish Community, and many places to practice and learn. Also, many kosher restaurants, and shopping.

      @@bjmurray1842 as a real estate broker. I cannot talk about religion, without a legal problem. I recommend everyone google the town multiple times for a full and diverse description.
