Walk of Honor Temple 1

Earlier this year, a young man's final journey at Baylor Scott and White Temple was honored by the hospital staff for his and his family's decision to save lives in the midst of tragedy. THANK YOU. To this family, and others, who said yes to donation!

Being a recipient of an organ, I can tell you I prayed for my donor and his family before I entered the operating room. What bravery it takes to think of another when your own heart aches.

I've wanted to be a donor for many years, unfortunately due to diabetes which is now in remission. My kidneys, eyes and pancreas are damaged. But I can still be a skin donor. That would help burn victims. This an unselfish wonderful thing to do. I think of lives being saved by another's unselfish gift. The gift of life.
