Hey Sandra! Love your videos. I’m using anki for the first time ever to study for the NBCOT. I find that I keep putting too much info for the answer which is hard to actively recall. I’m curious as to how you make ur cards. I could break them up but I’m not sure if having a surplus of cards to learn is better. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks 😊
@@julieuptmore630 I tried to focus my anki decks on facts/ memorization, so I would try to break things down into memorable parts to build the basis of my knowledge, and then use other tools to test more concepts- So for example if I were studying burns I would make an anti card for each level of burn. (Ie. First degree burn = superficial epidermis, redness swelling) and then to learn more about the interventions I would answer questions or teach someone! But yeah, I would break things down as much as possible so that the concept is simple. You also don’t need to make a card if you know something (or if you do you’ll get rid of the card pretty quick while studying so it’ll go fast)!
