Does anybody know if it is common to replace parts of a steel hull that become less than 20% of its original thickness? The surveyor didnt go into this in the video, although when finding a small weak spot in the rudder, he said that it was an easy fix for steel. Can anybody here answer about cutting and repatching weak areas? Thx.
