Fantastic! I'm a huge fan of this sub and the movie!!!! I had no idea that could be printed! The Tamiya weathering pastels are wonderful, I've used them for years and they hold up extremely well! Great application on your sub!!!!

This kit is available on Amazon and it looks like from same files under Nautilus Model Kit.

That came out pretty well. I never heard of using make-up for modeling. How difficult was it to apply?

@@BefuddledCurmudgeon It isn’t make up…it’s like pastel chalk made by a Japanese company Tamiya. They also make paint and a wide variety of other modeling tools. It’s not hard to apply but easy to over do it…I often over do it… I seal it in with Testors dull coat. There are many tutorials on you tube how to use it. Comes in many different colors and shades. In the old days could use a file and grind charcoal or pastels…which actually is still a good technique. Available in most hobby shops or on Amazon . Most the stuff I know from Fine Scale Modeler and watching videos about what other people do .

@@bmck-8400 Thanks for clarifying. Makes me want to build some models of my own.

I don't suppose your friend could print and sell me one of these could he? I'd definitely be interested if I can afford it.

No he doesn’t do anything like that. It was an experiment with varied success. The printer wasn’t great. There are many 3D printed kits out there just google and you can most likely find one.
