There is one important detail to bring up about the regular Faction: Its hitbox is scuffed, and has a real tendency to launch itself into the air off curbs or small obstacles. It's funny at first, but really dampens the driving experience, and it's a shame the car still has that issue.
@@racermigs1 they tried fixing it in 2015, but then it broke all the lowriders. They then just reverted back to the Faction being broken and never tried fixing again.
@@racermigs1 When Rockstar add a car, they never go back to fix them. Show how lack of care they have. Even BeamNG go back and fix or rework older cars.
The first car I bought when I got back into gta in 2019. Only thing I didn't like was the stock version makes contact with curbs. I wouldn't mind the upgrade so much if it wasn't slammed.
@@Jay_Digital I just tested it out. The Bennie's custom Factions front bumper just clips through the curbs. No more catching the curb unless you raise the back of the car. Also the rear wheels shrunk in width. Anyway I'm happy I can drive the car now without fear of curbs lol
@@katdaddy469 I think the original comment was how the stock version can't take any curbs. The custom version never had that issue. I'm gonna test the stock version tonight to see if it still does the curb flip thing.
I’d love to see the original Albany Virgo or the Vapid Chino, both are long forgotten classic American luxury cars that look amazing, I’m the only one that drives them anymore it seems
Growing up my dad had his completely original Buick Grand National in the garage with nothing but 80’s records in the back seat. Eventually he got it to work again before selling it in 2018. Wonderful car to drive if you get the chance.

I have the regular faction as a Buick Regal build but it's a nightmare to drive because for some reason it goes flying if you hit a curb lmao. Doesn't apply to the custom version tho
This car was one of the first cars I bought when I started playing GTA V for the first time and never sold it since! I don’t care much about the speed, but more of how nostalgic it feels to me. Shout outs to rockstar who put this in the game!
You forgot to mention that the regular faction absolutely hates curbs, but the custom version fixes that issue. Drive the regular faction and it's the most realistic car in game that reacts properly to curbing your vehicle
Rockstar needs to have a professional car expert go through and update some of these old cars Edit: I think it would create a bunch of hype if they did it right

I own a 87 Buick Grand National IRL. In game I decided to sacrificed the hood option over the ridiculous wheel well and left it non Benny's. I just think it looks better stock. Slapped on a GNX plate and this has been one of my daily drivers in the game. However, not my daily driver IRL. It sits along side my 79 Trans Am, and gets pulled out about once a week.
I did the Grand national build in Benny’s custom… but then sold it and did the GN in stock build. Couldn’t get over the ridiculous ride height and annoying forced hydraulics. The stock build looks closer even without the hood bulge
There’s a kid named Shaiden Loveland from California who got into an argument with me over IG and insulted me and later threatened me about what kind of car this was in real life. He was arguing that it was a Monte Carlo SS. I argued that it was a Buick Grand National. I own a 1987 Buick Grand National in real life, and also checked GTA Wiki, which confirmed my claim. He said that he never even heard of the Buick Grand National, never seen the grand National, and didn’t care what GTA Wiki said. The kid who never heard of the Grand National and who had never seen a Grand National was arguing, insulting, then threatened the kid who checked GTA Wiki and owns one in real life. Just thought I’d share that story since it reminded me of it
Yes sir i owned 2 an 84 t type and a 85 t type cars changed my life on tje streets I was eating mustangs and corvettes left and right they would fear the sound of that turbo
The custom hood exists on the regular Faction too but it’s only obtainable via modding or glitching since it’s a vehicle extra (no option at LSC sadly)
@@DigitalCarAddict It’s unfortunately the case for many other vehicles (e.g. topless Casco, cageless Merryweather Mesa, etc. would have been awesome customization options) I hope R* will add vehicles extras as LSC options (fun fact: older convertible vehicles such as the og Banshee, Coquette and Coquette classic have their roof classified as "extras" but it is also available at LSC so it’s definitely doable for R*)
Better be the Sultan RS next. Also, you know what this game needs? A vehicle or two based on the GMC Syclone/Typhoon because those two were beefing with the Ferraris.
I know it has zero customization but the Oracle or Oracle XS would be really cool to see especially with the newer rims out that bring these cars back to life.Would be cool to see
I absolutely loved the Faction in GTA 4 and I don't care about the lowrider or donk versions ,because I have it for the Grand National reference BUT the fact that R* gave the stock car the lowrider handling flags like the horrible curb crash crap is beyond me IT SUCKS TO GET CAUGHT ON PEBBLES EVERY SINGLE TIME IM CUTTING CORNERS 😫
Also, I feel that the faction is more based off the regal Turbo T as it was available in multiple colors as the Faction is and the grand national was only available in black.

The Albany Cavalcade (old) should get the DCA touch. The OG SUVs are underrated in terms of customisation and need some love.

I read somewhere that it's bc of a typo in the car's handling files. Why R* still hasn't fixed it, I'll never understand.

It's only a problem when it's stock but once you turn it into a lowrider it fixes that problem... As long as you don't pump the hydros lol.

They don’t have much customization but I think the originals look better than the lowriders because I personally don’t like lowriders

There is a turbo on the stock engine intake. It’s in the passenger front corner of the engine bay
