Nah, Nelson has a d/c opponent button for those "interesting positions" 😂 But seriously, never underestimate the power of internet to fail you at the worst time.
When the dude left @ 15:00, I'm a big fan of p -> f5. Nelson would probably take the c pawn with the rook, black takes the e pawn. White recaptures. THEN you take the h pawn with the knight. might be able to set up a decent queening threat on that side afterwards

I learn a great deal from your videos, I usually think the position over before you do your thinking process, and I learn something every time. Thank you buddy.
It's all relative. Especially as we age and experience more, decade by decade. And in the modern era, things change faster and faster as well. In my teens and 20's, I LOVED the fast change, the advent of computers in high school and college, the PC, all the new PC peripherals and software, etc. But by about Y2K, I was wishing it would slow down. Now I HATE that they constantly change almost all web sides and interface rules, just for the sake of changing it. I can imagine people who are 15 or 25 just loving it.
At some point I'd like to see a bullet ratings climb Obviously no commentary during the game but there could be some post game analysis or dubbed commentary afterwards would be fun The thing with bullet is that there are several anti-cheater strategies and it would be funny to see Nelson flag a cheater
Lost to a cheater in the Ratings Climb to 1450 I think we'll see some legitimate losses and draws soon though, the players are getting better Probably some soft cheating here and there too but that's not as big a deal
I don't get stalling out the 1st game. Sure the a pawn is pretty scary, but he had a ton of counter play with initiative, a massive time advantage, and the promotion still could've been easily bungled. It's not like your rook was already behind the pawn.
10:37 You should have got rid of this game in the edit - keeping everyone waiting for over 8 minutes where nothing whatsoever happens and the game just ends is incredibly unsatisfying, boring, and just wastes everyones time.
Actually, I was annoyed because I thought it was a VERY interesting and complex endgame-ish sort of position, which we didn't get to see played out. But at least editing the 8+ minutes down to 10 seconds or something would have been FAR better, re courtesy to the viewers. I waited a few minutes before I started scanning to see what was up.
14:20 If black goes Nxh3, you could respond Ng2 which can be followed up by Ne1 which would defend both f3 and c2, holding your whole position together and allowing you to use your Rook and your king to attack and advance the Queen side pawns. You should report him for running out the clock in a lost position. That is poor sportsmanship.
Totally not chess related, but I think it's awesome that you're going for a diet change rather than relying on medicine. Exercising some moderation where food is concerned is healthier, and you won't have to waste money on meds for the rest of your life. Of course, there are always some cases where diet change isn't enough and meds are essential, but hopefully yours isn't one of those. Respect to you for trying!
The wing gambit is often mentioned and played a lot in Ukrainian chess TH-cam channel named "chess for all". (You definitely unfamiliar with that because of obvious reasons :)) And I'm glad to see it also in one of your tutorial videos. 😊

Yes, that's what I noticed. A LOT gets missed in 10 minute chess. I didn't even like active chess (30 minutes a side) -- just too fast compared to the "tornado" speed tourney chess of 40 moves in 60 minutes and then 20 in 30 minutes, playing 4 tourney games in a long day. (This was OTB play before computers and the internet got big, so in the 80's and up to '95 or so, when I stopped playing "seriously" to do other things).
If you’ve ever had the chickenpox’s, you have the shingles virus in ya just waiting. Highly.. highly recommend getting that shingles vaccine (the one shot version) if you can.. I had shingles in my eye, which almost caused me to go blind and it was the most painful thing in my life. You don’t want to shingles.
And apparently, almost EVERYONE had chickenpox, even if you weren't diagnosed. Since I had a LOT of poison ivy that got BAD, I likely had a mild case and basically ignored it. Seeing the pain my mother went through (who hardly complained about surgery pain even), nothing bad happened to her, but you do NOT want shingles. I got the new vaccine (two doses). Aside from a moderately worse sore arm than for the Covid vaccine and lasting almost a week (for the first dose), I had no noticeable side effects.
When they developed the chicken pox vaccine in the 1990's they developed the shingles vaccine. It's interesting to think my child will not know the double whammy that is chicken pox/shingles. My older brother got the shingles so I got vaccinated against it.

I'm going to have to look at that. I used to play the Smith Morra gambit, but that was kind of bad vs. people who actually know what they're doing (re people who fall for various traps), so GM's, etc. never play it. Luckily there's this thing called "the internet", and I should be able to check it out without having to buy a book, etc.

With the last game, what would you have done if the opponent moved their king to prevent the check instead of pushing the pawn once more?
@36:51 all he had to do was get his queen beside his king and he could have fended off the checkmate
Queen C1 then F1
