Love your videos man. I have somewhat gotten a bunch of my friends into chess and you are always the first person I recommend. Not only do I think you do the best job of explaining beginner - intermediate concepts in a simple way, I also think you promote a style of chess that is just fun.
I love these videos, been watching the rating climb since really early on. One request I have is to please include the game review every time. I learn so much from watching you analyze the games and I've been really missing these whenever you're in a rush to get more games in. For me it's a quality over quantity thing--I'd rather watch three games in-depth than five with no analysis. Cheers!
Maybe "interesting" depends on the context, but sometimes it must mean "sus", e.g. "It's interesting that a 400 Elo player that figured out 7 moves in advance."
I hate players that barely use any of their time and then just crush you! They don't give you any time to think, and they seem hardly phased by your threats, as if your moves mean nothing to them, using only 20% of their time to beat you. Thank goodness you drew that game!
I finally did reach over 1800 elo in rapid and I'm super proud of that! I wanna thank Nelson for these videos, they really helped me to achieve this milestone!!
Im in my 1550s can we play sometimes for practice? Also what's your repertoire for whir and black wnd what's your suggestion should be mine in the 1500> rating climb
I really enjoy your videos. The way you explain your thoughts are helpful. Eventually I hope to be able to assess the board and stop blundering my pieces. I am glad your health is improving. Thank you for the lessons.
Even Nelson, with his calm mind and demeanor, can tilt. As soon as he suspected his opponent was cheating (which he obviously wasn't), he lost his ability to see a tactic that he absolutely would have seen if it weren't for the tilt. Still, he managed to recover. Good to know that nobody is immune to tilt.
36:19 I think your opponent forgot the bishop would check the king and you wouldn't be able to play checkmate with the rook. I also thought the same until I realized
With all due respect to IM Levy, GM Hikaru, and others, I have to say that Chess Vibes is my favorite chess media producer! BTW, minor flaw: This series is discontinuous between episodes 46 and 47. The climbs to 1675 and 1700 are unnumbered.
Game 3 was scary as heck. His move was to sacrifice his queen first, then to take your rook with his bishop for check, then to claim your rook, granting him an advantageous trade.
Hey man, I think you gave up early in the last game on finding a good move. I found f4 with the idea of e3 instead of h6 at 52:03 . And then afterward if white takes fxe3, you have the option to play f3! and idk I thought that may be good, so basically the line is: f4 nxb5 e3 fxe3 f3 and I think on the next move you win a piece with f2 because you threaten to promote and there's no way to really stop the pawn. I wish you had a lichess link of the game so I can analyze but I think what I found might work...
What is the best way to increase my move accuracy? I have gone from 660 to 391 in two weeks. My move accuracy varies from 50% to on a good day it may a little over 70%. Any advice would be seriously appreciated. Thank you.
Best way is to simply do "blunder checks." As someone who started off with 300 ELO a few months ago, I can say that everyone in that rating range blunders and hangs pieces, you're just not punishing it. The victor comes down to the person who catches these mistakes.
Dear Nelson; Kind Viewers, I am searching for the game where you played with white. Black attacked your b2 pawn with the Queen but you had an idea to trap the Queen after the take, including a a2 pawn move. It was in some recent stream... please Nelson or somebody, tell me which game it was... THANK YOU .
Hi, it was probably from a video about 2 months old, so not in the livestreams. It says in the title the queen trap. Hope this gives u the right hints. Btw if u found the vid go to around minute 13
@@TheJoker-rn8zc thank you. But thats really not it. It was on the other side of the board. Black Queen threatened to take the b2pawn. He had an idea to trap the queen after Queen takes on b2. The trap included a a2pawn push to a3. I cant find the game...
The interaction with the chat is kind of annoying. It's like listening to someone talk on their phone on a bus. A one way conversation, although having the chat on screen would make it unwatchable. It's also not a true climbing the ladder series because you have a pool of people who may not give you good moves, but may stop you from blundering.
Nelson you're my favorite chess player so I want to help you heal your blood clot. It will help to walk alot, and for that you should wear minimalist shoes to avoid foot pain/damage. When I started wearing minimalist zero-drop shoes it changed my life and eliminated my foot pain, allowing me to easily take 10,000 to 20,000 steps a day and score goals on a soccer team at age 44! I'm not a doctor, but I think minimalist shoes will give you a new found love for completely pain free walking and running 👣❤️⚽

Same with me I started playing again after watching so many of his vids. Nelson gets you up to speed so quick.
exactly he's the best chess beginner-intermediate teacher in my opinion

What I've learned from Nelson?

@@clancult2201 honestly I would say from 1200 to 1800 like 4 months

Love your content Nelson! Please continue to take care of your health and have fun making videos :)
I love your videos. I have improved a lot since I started watching….thanks
Awesome video!! That last game was crazy 😅
The last game was such a nail biter. This speedrun is so entertaining and instructive!
Great video! Thank you so much! 💙
I always look forward to these videos. I went help with the hurricane in Florida and I would watch these videos when I wasn't working
Glad to see you're so upbeat and happy :)
Amazing series Nelson thank you
very nice instructive game as usual part of this speedrun
40:08 what was the blunder?
36:19 I think your opponent forgot the bishop would check the king and you wouldn't be able to play checkmate with the rook. I also thought the same until I realized
Thank you for your videos!
Such interesting games 😄 Thank you!
For the second game, the opponent was trying to avoid back rank checkmate.
35:01 How about Knight to d5 blocks the attack on Rook and a double attack on queen
0:11 Game #1
4:12 Game #2
24:26 Game #3
40:35 Game #4
52:44 Maybe he's cheating???
Dude what a legend gracias
Nelson I have a small child as well and time seems to be the enemy both and off the board! Loves these videos.
I like your videos love u man your videos are making me pro in chess

Could you tell me where your Bishop’s Opening course is located? I cant find it.
Game 3 was scary as heck. His move was to sacrifice his queen first, then to take your rook with his bishop for check, then to claim your rook, granting him an advantageous trade.
The queen is not a piece confirmed!
There’s a video missing. I’m trying to watch them all through again, but 1 is missing.

Still a pretty decent idea
im really enjoying this series
Nelson, there is a wrong order in the playlist of Rating Climb, and this video by mistake is put ahead of rating climb to 1700
What video had the third game loss?
Why did that last game count as a draw when Nelson ran out of time?
Where is the 3rd loss? We finished the last video with 2 losses
Can't believe you elected not to save your black-squared bishop.
Good game... really enjoyed the last one
Love being here.
What is a rice and how come its no longer up?
Love your stuff man. Since I’ve been watching you the friends that used to smoke me in chess now think I’m using a boy😂
The first game was fun😂
Why was last game a draw and not a loss? Time was at zero...
If you run out of time but if your opponent has insufficient material to mate it's a draw
If the opponent had a pawn it would have been an L
Wow very interesting last game Nelson it really seemed like white was using stockfish
What about it made it seem like white was using stockfish?

Where did he lose another game???
Learned a way to checkmate with rook a few moves quicker.
I missed it but it is still fun to watch
Stream sniping in chess? What will they see, other than the exact same board but flipped?
Hear him talking about the lines and best moves/his plan

Opposite player watching your stream
Opponent watching your stream live, listening to your plans, ideas and threats you plan to make.

Yeah, just play fast like that other guy and somehow find all the best moves.
@@danielyuan9862 He just goes off explaining moves and forgets that he has to actually think about making a move.
The whole point of the series is to provide educational content, he can’t do that without talking
