I also had to replace my alternator because the light was on the dash but it was still charging. I think having the wires switched around fried the alternator because both of our alternators exhibit the same symptoms

Alternator wiring is different between FRS an 2JZ. That was the cause in my car
Exactly idk why but S and IG were inverted… took me a long time and a friend to tell me lol 😂
