My impression of Rome, only just a few years ago was of a stable society that conquered neighbors and then went on about the running of the country. After watching Briefed's videos it is clear that the Romans were regularly having to deal with push-back from people's who didn't want to be part of the Roman community, and the burdens that came along with it. One must always be cautious about looking at the past through romantic glasses.

Speaking of Celts, do you have any plans to a video on the Irish demigod Cúchulainn?
There's so many weird and cool stories about him, from the monstrous transformation he undergoes as part of his ríastrad or battle-rage, to singlehandedly defending his province from invading armies, through a mixture of single combat and guerilla warfare.
Even apart from all the fighting and killing he does there's a story where he has an affair with Fand, wife of the sea god Manannan mac Lir. Which at first glance is like, ok he got some goddess loving. Except for the fact that Manannan was the foster-father of Cúchulainn's own biological godly parent Lugh Lámhfada. So did this guy just cuck his divine adoptive grandfather?
There's also the story where he's forced to fight his best friend in single combat, and kills said friend by throwing a spear up his nether region, and then gets really sad about the whole situation. (The spear in question was called the Gáe Bulg, which in Irish actually has no sexual connotations, simply meaning belly-spear.)

Great stuff as always. According to Tacitus( a Roman historian and Politician.). Boudicca was whipped and her daughters were raped. Again by Tacitus, she poisoned herself. But according to Cassius Dio(a Roman historian) . She died in sickness. in 1970, in Germany. They found what is called Boudicca sword. A Gladius. Around 2000 years old. They say. the time of Queen Boudicca revolt.. It's now in the Royal Armouries collection in the Leeds Museum. Some historians say that Boudicca wasn't a druidess. But some say she was. Her and her tribe worshiped a goddess, named "Andraste, a war goddess ". Who's sacred animal was the Hare. Cassius Dio. (him again.). That Boudicca would release a hare before a battle and invokeing the goddess name. So maybe she was a Druidess. Some historians say that the Iceni probably.

I came back for the video because the content is good, but I wouldn’t have watched this as a movie review, and would have missed this gem. The title had “Queen” in it. That’s what kicked it into my algorithm. (My about me explains why.)

Hmm about the radiocarbon dating. It can be, but that is more when it's older. The closer it is to current date, the more accurate it is. This is due to the half-life of the radioactive carbon. A.k.a. you start to get differences when you're working with stuff which is around 6.000 years old. With the 200ish difference being probably stuff around 50.000 years old. With things about 1.000 years old there's barely any difference. Maybe a 5 to 10 year difference max.

I create the art with an ai called midjourney and just prompt it by feeding it with photos, but generally this art style was inspired by Fiona Staples, and then I kind of put a spin on it until I was happy
