I absolutely love these behind the scenes videos. Gives some real insight into the baitworks products and the thought processes behind them. Look forward to more, especially the tank tests👍. I have been having recent success with your Creamino boilies and bag mix so I know it definitely works👌
Quality video as always, Mike . Lovely fish for Jamie Cook , and the 24 hr session with Terry was great . The footage at the factory with Mark talking about using the coarse boilie ingredients was really interesting , especially the point about some commercially made boilie with very fine ingredients in order just to help the actual rolling process , but maybe to the detriment of the effectiveness of the bait due to poor leakage and texture . More of these ' Behind the scenes ' 👍👏
Grown up proper interesting thoughts on bait, bait constitution and baiting from Mark and Mike. No over silly exited people trying to all 'carpy'. Love the podcasts abd the lads laud back style as well. 10/10 👍
Got some samples through the post as recently discovered your company, as only been carp fishing for year or so and super impressed with your baits- tried and caught on the Monster Red yday first time trying! Looking forward to making an order v soon, thank you, loving the vids 🙌🏼😎 It works! 😁
This is why BW is my goto bait all year round, have total confidence in it and all the range, I'd love to see the creamino mixed with the powder and oil (which is my favourite) in a tank test, as it leaves that halo effect on the bottom which they seem to home onto.
Considering ditching salt altogether after this video. Great video, another informative BTS look at bait making and as an aspiring bait maker (for personal use) the discussion on course ingredients at the end was key information for me to create baits that allow water penetration/breakdown and lessening the courseness of my pop ups to make them last longer.
I used to import, breed, and grow freshwater fish. Salt was something I only ever used as a health benefit. I.e. to ward off parasites. Never did I ever see a feeding response when adding salt....garlic on the other hand, did. So much so infact that I ended up selling a blend of fish food, one with garlic and one without garlic, and the overwhelming response from customers, was the fish consistently went for the garlic infused food over the standard food of the same blend (minus garlic).
@BaitworksTV 100% :) just thought I'd mention as you never see people mention garlic in the same way as HRS in carp fishing. There's very few people in the carp fishing industry that, when they talk, I listen...Mark is defo one of them 🫡
Hi can you give us some tips of how to add/use garlic into our baits, ie would a garlic oil be ok to put on pellets or in groundbaits etc ? or would a garlic powder be better?? any tips appreciated
Great video yet again, would love to see a video on how to keep your freezer baits fresh for a weeks long trip to France where lakes still ban shelf life
Hi Ryan, just open the bag and give them a glaze of oil and say liquid fish and they'll be fine. Alternatively pop them in an air dry bag in the tree while your fishing.
If I was lucky enough to have a one on one with you guys I would pickle your brains on your European canal fishing and leave the conversation with pin drops on Google....Good video chaps enjoyed it 👍
Is there much difference in the old debate on freezer VS shelf life nowadays? With quality carp baits like yourselves produce what are the stand out factors, and does freezer burn effect bait quality
We can't comment across the industry mate, but ours are identical, they only difference is a small amount of food grade preservative so we only part preserve them for 8-10 months.
If it’s not been suggested - how about oils? A lot of the “science” based bait buffs say they are pointless as the aren’t soluble, bit experience (back to the old Premier glugging freebies in nodd/salmon oil) says otherwise. Hemp/veg/nut/fish oils and then maybe the odd essential oil?
I don't like salt by itself either & don't find it attractive. stick it on some chips or a well-seasoned steak & it makes a huge difference to the taste.
Brilliant vid, Mike. Great work looking after your guest on the bank and fair play to him for supporting such a good cause in the angling trust. Jamie has done a fantastic job there 🔥🫱🏽🫲🏾
Only brand that seems honest. Good vibe off these lads
Yeah I wish they could ship to USA
The tank tests are really good i'd love to see more of this with your products, really interesting seeing the reaction of the fish.
always love seeing these ... that common from Jamie Wow what a fish, well done Jamie ... Gaz popups sounds intresting
Another cracking episode! These are quickly becoming my favourites!
Nice one mate, glad you enjoy them James.
@BaitworksTV Could watch one weekly mate! So interesting seeing the ins and outs of the factory etc, aswel ofc as the fishing side of things
Hear hear. Great videos

Brilliant insight into the company. Mike and mark keep up the good work.
Cheers Jamie, we'll keep them coming if viewers enjoy them :)
Now I’m not taking credit for these videos but I did ask for a behind the scenes thing about a year ago 😂… great work as always boys 👌🏻

Great videos! Keep it up Mike and baitworks!
Cheers Mike, we'll keep them coming mate.

Glad you found it useful Lee, enjoy playing around with home bait making mate.
Love the video very informative, keep up the great work, i’ve had a lot of success on Royal Marine the women hate it, but I love it, so do the carp !!
hahaha Yes the Scent from Hell isn't very partner friendly lol but as you say carp love it.

Indeed mate, Garlic is fantastic carp attractor, used widely these days in the bait industry also. :)

Great video and interesting about the ingredients, id be curious to know about your ingredients for replacing eggs and the reasoning
We'll try and cover that off next time mate, cheers
Cold water tank test might be interesting.
As you know the colder the water, the less response carp will be. The tanks we have aren't heated so it's a great representation of the lake.
Great video 👍🏻 one question for you.... the nut meal, is that cooked before putting in, or just added raw? Thanks 😁
Fascinating explanation about the rollers and rolling process.
If I was lucky enough to have a one on one with you guys I would pickle your brains on your European canal fishing and leave the conversation with pin drops on Google....Good video chaps enjoyed it 👍

@@BaitworksTVthanks for that information, shelf life for me 100% 🎉 a lot easier to deal with store ect
And hide from the Mrs
I’d like to see how they react to red maggots 🤔

It's all about the Yorkie tea sorry mark 😂 but another great video guys.. and well done Terry 🎣
I'm with you Matt, Mark's tea choices always divide popular opinion lol
will baitworks ever bring out a sweet bait i love sweet brighter baits with lots of seed in it
The creAmino is close mate, deadly and is now our top seller.
Good video
Was you & terry pole fishing for these fish ?

@@BaitworksTV 🤣🤣🤣
Earl grey 👍🏻
Why dont you make 12mm bollies ?
We will be very soon mate :)
I don't like salt by itself either & don't find it attractive. stick it on some chips or a well-seasoned steak & it makes a huge difference to the taste.
Ahhh the old taste element is whole subject on it's own ;)
hardly ever gets discussed but is a huge part of a successful bait IMO. do you guys eat your baits?
👊🎣 qaulity
Cheers Darwin, glad you enjoyed it mate.
Scent from Hell Luvleh
Celtic salt is best
Should of let someone else fish
What do you mean? Terry fished as he bid and pledged his own money to win the session?
Brilliant vid, Mike. Great work looking after your guest on the bank and fair play to him for supporting such a good cause in the angling trust. Jamie has done a fantastic job there 🔥🫱🏽🫲🏾
Cheers mate, yes Terry had a great time which was vitally important to us. A carp was a bonus also :)
