I am 11 years old wanting to start my business soon! Every day I am going to people's places to do some yard work for them so I can buy everything I need to start it! By watching this video it's so inspiring!!! I am already starting to get materials but the sewing machine is really expensive for me. Hopefully, by 12, I'll be making some scrunchies, clothes, and masks!
Same with me I’m 11 and I just started a scrunchies and tie dye business with my close friend and we have money saved so we are starting if you want to buy from it then reply to this and I reply with our website sorry bout the self promo
Congratulations on starting a business. I started making scrunchies again when I saw how much my daughter was paying for them. Had no plans to sell, but couldn’t stop making them and then started selling on Marketplace and IG. The elastic is easier to get now through Amazon and it has a really nice stretch to it. During covid, I switched to mask making, but now that has died off and the scrunchies business is going better again. Good luck to you and all the young entrepreneurs on here.
You are so younger than me, I'm 55 and I learn allot from you, and I going to learning more because I'm going to follow you since today, because I want to learn how make scrunchys like yours, are awesome, love your wonderful work..
Good video. One tip I would give you is to find a soup can that is the approximate size you want to stretch out your hair bands. Then you aren’t using your wrists for this and you could set them up overnight or something. I like your version of putting the hair band in while you’re sewing it - it would save a step. Nice job!
This was such a motivational video! I love watching how other sewing businesses operate. Very educational. I personally don't sew scrunchies, but I do have an embroidery business. Would enjoy a video on any tips, tricks, etc. you have learned along the way. Even setting up an Etsy shop. Great work! And keep keeping on!
I love love love you for taking the time do this video. I have been wanting to start my sewing business (I live in Jamaica) making cushions and covers, etc but have been making excuses. I feel motivated to start now, thanks.
I have been making mine with the skinny elastic from Walmart. I bought the deep bucket bins but now I want to get the ones you bought 😍😍 they look so nice and organized!
Omgg thank you for this video. You seem so kindddd and if not for the corona, I would love love love to buy your scrunchies💞💞. Well wishes for your flourishing business. Stay healthy .
You can find elastic on Etsy!! Also, you can schedule free USPS pick ups to your house instead of going to the post office. That's what I've been doing for my shop :)
This is really inspiring! Thank you so much for this video, you deserve a subscribe! Honestly, you're humble and not bragging with anything. 💖 You're also pretty!
Hey thank u for this video. Have u tried putting labels on these scrunchies ?I have seen many people put their trademark on the scrunchies with a small label
Hi I also have a scrunchy buisness and I would recommend the mailer that s cheaper per mailer and if it doesn't say then just divide the number of mailers by the price to see which is cheaper per mailer. But also if you have freebees that are fragile or can break even a little bit then I recommend the bubble mailers over the poly. You don't have to take my advice but this is what I did but with different shipping "containers". It's also an easy way to save some extra cash for the future😉
Do you have to pay an extra fee for using licensed characters such as the friends and Harry Potter scrunchies you used? Or is there any special process in order to legally sell them? I always thought things like that were off limits for small businesses and has prevented me from using any fabric with licensed characters.
