I got the impression that the stories are related to each other, but there’s no clear line. The line of history is kind of bending. The story needs to be pieced together from different mv. In addition Monsta X live in two (or more?) spaces, finding themselves here and there by the evil fate of fate.
Before Monsta X used the symbol for the hourglass. For example on the splash screen of the albums “The code”, “The connect: dejavu”, Take.1 Are you there? ”,“ Take.2 We are here ”. It’s a symbol of time travel.
In “Dramarama” Shownu was in an unknown year. Wonho in 2047, Minhyuk and Kihyun in 2017, Jooheon and I.M in 2015. Shownu’s and Wonho's identities were not revealed in this mv. In teaser for mv Shownu and Wonho switched places and disappeared from view. Minhyuk, Kihyun, Hyungwon, Jooheon, and I.M remain in the frame. Four stood with their backs. Hyungwon stood in front, he’s the main character.
The members were scattered by the events before “Dramarama”.
Minhyuk is an employee of a cafe called “Travel”. A bright blue anchor hung on the wall of the cafe. Anchor signifies a well founded hope and a life well spent. Minhyuk may have hoped to bring back I.M who was his brother or childhood friend.
Kihyun is a pawnshop worker. He remembered the past. About the accident that killed Jooheon.
Wonho wanted to take back the time he was training with his friend Shownu. An announcement was heard: “The time travel is not allowed, do not take any watches”.
Hyungwon is the main character and time traveler. He wanted to intervene in people's lives and give them the opportunity to change the course of fate. He gave them hope. He left the clock on the table at the cafe where Minhyuk works. Hyungwon gave Kihyun the watch through the pawnshop window.
Minhyuk returned (by accident or on purpose) from 2017 to the 2015, agents in black suits wanted to grab him, but his brother//friend I.M grabbed his arm and they ran away. Agents caught up with them, Minhyuk did not have time to adjust the clock for possibility he and IM could make a jump and escape. Agents fired at the clock at the moment of the jump, broke it. Minhyuk and I.M split up again. Minhyuk returned in 2017, I.M stayed in 2015
Wonho went back a few years to train with Shownu. He missed him and loved spending time with him. When he returned in 2047, agents took the watch away from him. He couldn't go back to Shownu anymore. Shownu was waiting for him. They both missed each other
Kihyun returned in 2017. He wanted to save Jooheon from death. He tried several times, but could not change what was intended. When Hyungwon appeared, he made it clear that it was only possible to save Jooheon by sacrificing oneself. Kihyun gave his life, the most precious thing he has. Hyungwon's face shows that he is disappointed that both cannot be saved
Hyungwon violated the rules of time travel. He shouldn't have given such great chances to rewrite fate. He went against the system and caused anomalies
Hyungwon was punished in the musical film “Monsta X - The connect”. Spoiler: he is locked in a train that always travels forward and never stops. There is no exit from the train. The clock on the train did not go, no one knew where Hyungwon was. The train passed through only one station: “MONTRE STATION”. This is a reference. In the 20th century, the writer and poet Rainer Maria Rilke lived. He wrote a collection of poems “Stundenbuch”. This collection is about a priest who has traveled extensively. After his death, Rilke was buried in a cemetery near the city of MONTRE.
Chronologically “Find you” comes before “Dramarama”.
In “Find you” Hyungwon's parents died. He got his father's watch and moved. Perhaps he wanted to bring his parents back to life, or it happened by accident. He fell into the water and sank to the bottom. Underwater, he discovered a whole city. They showed a shot of Hyungwon standing on the roof. Is this roof in the city he saw underwater? Hyungwon was shown standing on this rooftop in a VCR during the concert for “The connect: Dejavu”, which was released after “Dramarama”. That is he moved to another world on a square roof, and then there are events from “Jealousy” mv. But in this world he drowned? His body relaxed in the water and he let go of the watch. He also became a drama watchmaker. A man in a suit, with an umbrella under the shower. What happened to him in “Find you”? Did he see the roof? Did he drown? Has he moved to the roof? He became a watchmaker from “Dramarama”?
He saw the future: what will happen in the “Dramarama”, his mistakes. What will happen in “Shoot out” and “Alligator” (members will go to the dark side of the force and become the personification of the seven deadly sins). And in general, in the frames that he sees, dipping his head into a sink with water and when he fell into the water, all the members are lonely and unhappy. Is it Hyungwon’s fault that the members in “Dramarama” are scattered?
Maybe he seeing the sad future, did not take the jump, let go of the watch and drowned? The members stayed together at the table in the Hyungwon house, but Hyungwon himself is gone, something happened to him.
Minhyuk stands by the road and grins. What is he grinning at? Then, on a similar road, Hyungwon is standing in a suit and holding an umbrella under the downpour. He became a watchmaker from “Dramarama”. Did Minhyuk figure this out and grin?

This is literally one of my favorite monsta x songs and I had never thought to or found the time to learn the whole story behind it or look up the lyrics but I’m so glad I know now, so thank you for this!!
This is one of the very few kpop songs that get me in tears EVERY time I listen to it. What happened around the release of this song gave this song a whole deeper meaning to it, it’s insane.

Find you is the 1st in whole history, its 1st time when Hyungwon used watch to rescue his parents. And other members started to try to find him and started to use time travel too, so they all get lost in different times, they trying to find each other, probably they are together and find each other before Love Killa (there are short trailers where are together in Fantasia set). it's really difficult to find proper way to understand whole history. In every MV, trailers and other staff from world tours theres tips to understand that.
So the point of the entire storyline is that Hyungwon wanted to change the past to stop his parents from dying, but he got lost in time loops and became an endless time traveler, not really present in any particular time and not able to come back to where he left. Him messing up with his own timeline and life created alternative timelines (Dramarama) where his old friends were no longer his friends, so they didn't recognize him or each other. They were also living unhappy lives with past memories they also regretted (Kihyun not being able to stop Jooheon from dying in a car accident, Minhyuk missing his old childhood friend Changkyun he no longer knew). Hyungwon went and gave them the watches so that they could also try to fix their past mistakes, but this was again just messing things up even more, as "time warping wasn't allowed" (listen to the beginning announcement in Dramarama), and so they just ended up either losing the watches (Minhyuk, Wonho) or dying (Kihyun).
Now if you go watch Destroyer, their "ending video" of this storyline, which you should do next, you'll see Hyungwon's old friends slowly figuring out that the main problem in their entire life is that they need to find Hyungwon, their long lost friend who's stuck in the time loops. They will then go after him, but it's pretty unclear what happens to them all after that... as you can find out from the video. The main lesson of the entire plot is this: you cannot change the past, no matter how painful it is. But you can find loyal, supportive friends who will come rescue you from that spiral of regret and despair that you might get sucked into.

Ahh Find You, This song is so beautiful but it always gets me emotional thinking about my boys. I'm thankful that we have a stage where even Wonho is performing this song with them :(
Watching your videos always bring something new I haven't caught before, especially for this video because this is literally the 3rd time I've seen this video because the stuff that happened with Wonho and Monsta X happened with the comeback for this song so its extra sad. But I didn't realize Hyungwon went to the spot where his parents accident happened. If you notice in this mv there's clues that other mvs are linked to this storyline. Newton is linked, the pic of Hyungwon on his Dad's desk is from Newton, Jealousy is linked also as well as Alligator (Shownu w/ the lighter near the end of this mv). I believe Fantasia is also linked. Anyway, yes, definitely watch Destroyer music film because it gives more to the storyline and also watch All In and Fighter as they're the very beginning of this storyline as well. Actor Hyungwon came through in this mv so much so that I can't watch it without crying.
This is an awesome reaction. This MV was pleasing to see and listen to at the same time. Like you get attacked by a good storyline and by such a deep meaningful lyrics. There are just so many theories out there, but the members esp IM siad that their MVs are for us to imagine and make a story out of it. It is an open end to them. It can mean anything.
But clearly this was where all the mess started.

2:52 legit love this song. Listened to it and watched people react to it after because I needed to know that I wasn't the only person that started balling. Downloaded it but deleted it from my phone all I could picture was the mv and Hyungwon whenever I watched it. Crying now as I type this. I didn't know Monsta X made songs like this until Find you. They really are some very talented mofos. 😭😭😭.
The timeline for the mvs go like this:
Find You - Destroyer - Dramarama. But in real time they were posted in the opposite direction, so find you becomes explanatory of the mv's that came before it! There are theories too that the concept they had of them being deadly sins, Jealousy, Shoot Out, Alligator, is what happens to them as a consequence of fiddling with time, they become a radical version of their biggest "emotion" from loosing each other in the timestream. (Anger, jealousy, loneliness, gluttony and so on)

Ohhhhh you've discovered Find you...🥺🥺🥺 I love this song but it's so bitter sweet. It was the last time we had the boys as 7. It will forever transport me to the last time l felt absolute joy and the beginning of one of the worst times of my life when we lost our bunny Wonho. There was so much uncertainty back then. We had no idea if he'd ever return. Thankfully we are going through happier times now and l'm so happy Wonho is continuing to sing and has found a way to live his best life outside the group. Never take anything or anyone you love for granted because life is constantly changing. Always appreciate, be thankful and enjoy those happy times when they're happening. Just days before Wonho left...the message about loss, fate, trust, and finding each other again 🥺💔 i actually havent watched the MV since 2019 bc of the pain but i watched it with you guys. Their acting was incredible and the storyline is just heartbreaking/warming!

It was impossible for me not to cry when I saw Jas like this, my grandfather is eight years old who passed away and the pain remains the same, I send you a lot of strength.
This song is very representative for the fandom (at least for the OT7) due to Wonho's departure in that comeback ;; however the MV is also a key piece as it seems that Hyungwon was stuck in time.
I recommend watching Distroyer since in this MV parts passed not only of Dramarama and thus helps more to understand, not only the theory from Dramarama, but that all the MVs are connected in some way, even the MVs of WonHo as a soloist. Thank you for your reactions 💜

I cry every time when I see this MV :( It's so sad that we Lost Wonho...
I recently found this song through another group who covered it. I lost my grandmother in August this year and this song brings out the emotions I've been unable to express since losing her.
We were close but we don't live near each other so I only got to see her once or twice a year, and I only went to see her about 2/3 weeks before she passed which was harder because she looked so happy when I saw her. She was one of the few people who believed in and support me through the most difficult times in my life, so it hit me really hard. I miss her so much and I just want to have her back.

Such a beautiful song! One the best ballads from MX (especially considering the heartbreak of Wonho's departure right after its release)! Also, note that there's no rapping in this song - Jooheon and Changkyun actually sang sizable portions of the song...
So a theory is that Hyungwon tries to save his parents' life and ends up messing the timeline for all of them (notice that most of them don't know each other in Dramarama) and he himself gets stuck in an infinite cycle of time.. So there WAS a sacrifice made by all of them (one could argue that Jooheon's accident was caused because he tried to prevent his parents' accident - where there is death, there will always be death)
Destroyer is next to complete this trilogy! Looking forward to more!

And in dramarama he is trying to repair it. But in the end of find You see everyone alone. You should even see the tour vcrs. It talks about the 7 deadly sins, which you can see in shoot Out and alligator. Even in fantasia film would be the reunion. Including the 6 teaser of fantasy as previous.

I think the consequence for Hyungwon was that he was no longer related to all his “friends”(the other members) anymore, bc in dramarama they all were living their separate lives not knowing who hyungwon was. But, hyungwon wanted to help them, hence, why he was giving the watch to them. That’s what I think tho!

There is also a theory that Lose by Wonho is intertwined with Find You. And that all the members are all in different timelines or dimensions all searching for each other.

This is the song that will make you cry everytime you listen to it. I know the mv is really sad, but for me the 1st time they perform this song at music core without wonho 2 days after he left is more sad than the mv, you could see the emotion on their face (especially I.M)
They performed this song (pre-recording) at mcountdown with 7 members at the day wonho left, they (minus wonho ofc) still supposed to perform this live at mubank on the next day but got canceled in the last minute, I thought maybe it's because of Minhyuk cause I saw a comment from monbebe that they saw minhyuk crying when he come out to see mbb outside kbs building and not long after there's official announcement abt the cancelation for their live stage of find you..
So yeah I think their find you live stage at MBC music core is really really fckng sad. Even on the next day at inkigayo minhyuk said he won't cry anymore :(

as for mv theory, a popular theory is that this is the moment where they *all* started time travelling to find hyungwon, and all lost each other in different timelines, so find you is about them all trying to find each other. Hyungwon is trying to correct the timelines because it broke everyone apart. I'm enjoying your theories and journey with this!

i think because hyungwon tried to save his parents he lost his friends which is DRAMARAMA and in order to save both his parents and friends he has to sacrifice himself and thats why he was gone in find you

The last video you need to watch is Destroyer, it ties up this storyline (although I think there are references to it in other mvs as well, but anyway).
This is one of the hardest songs for me to listen to especially since this was when Wonho left. I hope one day they will be 7 again...😭
The side stories that you mentioned is probably (what my theory is atleast) the 'other timeline' from find you timeline and that the monsta x in dramarama are not the same monsta x in find you. I think its because dramarama was like the starting or the prequel to how monsta x got their 'sins' for the seven deadly sins concept (which also ties to the whole forbidden time turning rule - since they broke it, then they are punished for it and becoming their sins.) so the next part of their story is how they need to 'redeem' themselves in both timeline (find you timeline and dramarama timeline

Some of MBB (and me too) has the theory that Find You is the first of the timeline, where MX, all members are friends. Then the accident happened, HYW touched his father’s watch and he lost in time. HYW trying to get back to the first timeline, but, of cause, butterfly effect happen when you messing with time. I think that cause the weird story like The Clan, the blue magic(?) flower. And some of the timeline MX is not together (Dramarama). In Dramarama time is very messed up, the men in black aka time protector came involved and take every watches that HYW gave to members away. For me th reason HYW made more watches gave to members because he was far gone in time for trying so many times, he must went through a lot of timelines (you can see his tried/careless face) before KHY found him on the scene. So in Dramarama timeline, he gave the watch to members, hope they can do better than him.
Anyway, you guys got more 2 to go, The Connect - music film and The Connect wold tour - VCR. You will find your own answer when finish it ;)

Wonho is stuck because all of the watches are the same- Hyungwon as a time traveller only gives it to them in different timelines, he gave the watch to Minhyuk at the cafe in 2017, Minhyuk used it to try and save his best friend/brother IM who was in trouble in 2015 but they got caught by authorities because although time travelling exists it's illegal. When Minhyuk gets caught and sent back he accidentally let's go of IM's hand so he can't come with him and unlike Kihyun with Jooheon, Minhyuk did not get many chances to alter time because they were being chased. Minhyuk was also was greedy in trying to cheat time by getting out with both of their lives but with Kihyun we learnt that to save one life and to avoid altering the fabric of time you must also sacrifice another life. Minhyuk's watch breaks in the process, because Minhyuk's version broke when he was in 2015 the same watch is broken in 2047 when Wonho has it so he can't time hop to see Shownu and he's stuck in the future where he's found by authorities.

Yea... this song is sad without actually being a Monbebe on release... then it's like torture to see this video, which came out within days of Wonho announcing that he was leaving Monsta X.
For most monbebe this song is very hard to listen to without crying not because of the content of the video if not because of the lyrics, since the departure of wonho this song is very meaningful, it is super painful, I remember when it came out and we saw hyungwon cry monbebe also cried, it was awesome, we don't want to see them cry unless it is from happiness, thanks for another one grat raction

I will say, Follow:Find You (the album) is one of their best albums they’ve made and I wish monbebes and mx could go back and change what had happened but we must all move forward. Thanks for reacting to FIND YOU. I haven't watched this MV since 2019 (not long after Wonho ㅠㅠ) so rewatching it with you guys really brings back memories..
Btw, to get more in depth in this time travel storyline, you guys should watch DESTROYER (the MV title is called THE CONNECT MUSIC FILM). Cos parts of the scene in FIND YOU when Hyungwon was time travelling were scenes frm DESTROYER, SHOOT OUT and VCRs from their world tour. So technically (in sequence order of MV release), DRAMARAMA, DESTROYER, SHOOT OUT, ALLIGATOR and FIND YOU are connected. But it might be a bit confusing cos like I mentioned in your Dramarama reaction vid, they're all in different time dimensions from Dramarama. Hence, the different pairings and places.
But imo, bottomline is Hyungwon is the one who started all this and gave the members that watch. Meanwhile, he is stuck in time cos possibly a) to save his parents or b) waiting for the members to find him. (which is why the song is called FIND YOU - to find Hyungwon)
