    He is a linguistic genius using idiomatic expression to express himself through song. R.I.P Mohbad

    Oh how God listened to this gentleman’s prayers. 1:28. He was a pure soul. Sinless and pure. So inspirational. Glory came fr. His spirit is strong. He refused to be buried like an animal by family members who refused to do their due diligence. This is so comforting. Mohbad is in heaven singing with the angels. Glory be to God.

    Ajilomoto is a double entendre actually.
    Ajinomoto: "I'm now the sauce"
    Ajilo motor: "I'm now a car owner"
    Referencing how he came from poverty.

    So sad ...he went back to Ikorodu and they thought they got him but he is even now more popular after he died. God never left him...that was his greatest fear. Shine on Mohbad...🌠

    Simbihawt, you did a great job.
    I just want explain "feel good" part more. The "feel good" part was lifted from James Brown "I feel good". That taranranra was also similar to what James Brown instrumentalist played "I feel good tarantatara, I knew that I would now, so good, so good, I got you"

    I don’t understand Yoruba but I think what he means the ‘Ikorodu’ part is before his present life cos he came from Ikorodu. There is “Dey” meaning when he was living in Ikorodu. Thanks for helping.

    simbihawt , you have really done very very well in translation, but I got few corrections to made in your translation, ajinomoto is a brand of seasoning in nigeria that compete with salt, like magg. so what he mean by I become ajinomoto, you see every family in nigeria uses ajinomoto, so I became ajinomoto is playing with word like I have become popular or have become essential like ajinomoto a type of seasoning salt like maggi that if you put ajinomoto in your soup , it makes it tastier. google ajinomoto you will understand better .not motor like car. but this is a good work you have put in. 11% thank you

    • @simbihawt
      @simbihawt  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey! Thanksss so much. Okay yes, there is ajinomoto- the seasoning brand (Naija sometimes use it as slang to say they got the sauce/they are fly etc) and then there is ajilomoto- a slang term that they also use which is a word play on ajinomoto…I’ve heard it before and also in Yoruba films and this song. It may not be on google but if you put “ajilomoto” in twitter search you will see this slang term. I used to always say ajinomoto until I studied this song to translate and watched his mouth when he performed it and realized that it’s ajilomoto…even KPK I feel like it’s ajilomoto but I’m not completely sure. That’s my observation though there has been a few comments around this on this video

    Mo ti di ajilomoto- ajilomoto is a tomato paste that is very popular in Nigeria- you must find it in every home- rich or poor. What he meant by that line is that he is no famous- everyone knows him
