I am watching your video from Japan. I like fishing. Your video beautifully depicts the fun of fishing and the beauty of nature. I can't speak any foreign languages, but I like your videos.
Don’t worry about not pulling out a good number of big fish for the viewers. From my point of view the enjoyment is seeing how you’re fishing and thinking, seeing the environment - the wildlife, the plants - simply what’s going on. You’ve a nice style.
I was at that spot a few weeks back. The water was a little murky, but still, great days spinning regardless. I had the whole stretch to myself so worked that whole coastline. Once the weather improves I will surely be back.
Hi if your a fisherman like me we do understand that you have to have some bad days to appreciate the good days! I like the quality of your filming lovely coastline nice common trey enjoyed the vid the small bass was perfect nice to get a good look at whatever the size, Stay positive best of luck
Fished lots over the last few days, water conditions have been less than ideal, big swell, several blanks, but seen some amazing sunsets & wildlife, as you say sometimes it’s about more than fish 😉
Thanks for sharing your adventures, i really enjoy them, they are clear and also honest. I’m new to fishing and wanted to understand a bit about tide. I try to pick up from conversations online but the fisherman lingo are sometimes not very clear. It would be nice if you could make a video about tides, and what is flood tide, spring tide, the best tide times and season to fish. I sometimes also see people saying 2 hours after low and things like that...Would be very much appreciated. Thank you
Beautiful out there.... nice that you also post a bad day of fishing, happens to all of us. I dont see that much on TH-cam, most people only post the less frequent awesome moments. Anyway, you put out some great content! Thanks. Tight lines.
Just came across your channel. Really enjoy your videos. Well filmed and your voice is easy to listen to, which may sound strange! Keep it up, please 👍🏼
Lovely walks on the outskirts of Eastbourne, Iv'e never done them but your video shows me I should. Your video also shows me I should try both lure and float fishing (something else I've never done) but if I want to enjoy the walk then I don't want to be carrying beach casting gear. When I eventually get back to Eastbourne I will definitely explore that area thanks to your video.
Thanks David for your thoughts here, you could in theory carry a 4 piece lure rod and 4 lures in your pocket now that would be travelling very light indeed whatever the location
Yep those wonderful granite rocks keeping it clean, I know weed can be a problem in some marks there though. Fingers crossed for your trip and tight lines
Good one Matt! 5.30am?? After 20+ years of working nights, that's bedtime mate! 😁😁 Some lovely marks & scenery there, and some good info on the lures for those of us that have not done much lure fishing. You caught more fish in that session than I have so far this year - due to the Corona virus, health issues, and my car being currently in dry dock, I haven't got out yet! Thanks for the uploads - stay safe & well.
Hello chap I'm new to the channel although I have come across some of your videos before and I enjoy your work. I was wondering how you establish the flow or current especially when fishing sub surface lures. You mention to cast uptide and pull your lure with the tide but I have seen in some places that the current appears to be travelling in both directions around deeper pools and coming into channels etc. Any help would be appreciated.
Hello! thanks for your comment. I’ve been thinking about the best way to describe this for a while now. I think the easiest way is to remember your lure is replicating a bait fish-so how does a bait fish move through said tide, where are the pinch points the Eddie’s and troughs. If you don’t know what to do - do nothing let the flow take the lure. Keep the lure at the depth required for as long as possible . I know that’s a bit of a cop out but really thinking like that bait fish being where a bass expects to find them is key
With those clear waters and calm and quiet sea with sunshine, you must choice only spinning in the daw, night or sunset....Sea bass in the day only hunt witth massive little sardines or other smal fishs.....Or if you have waves up one half metter and wave periodes of 11 , 12 metters by second... Sea bass is a night hunter and during the day is under dark rocks, resting and sleepping.......
Thanks for your thoughts , Bass can be very active at times in bright daylight particularly at the top of the tide here. Sussex spring tides coincide with mid day and midnight roughly. I’ve fished here at night but it’s too dangerous out on the reefs. Thanks again I will have to try some night bassing.
Thank for your experience in England. I `m a sea angler from fifty years ago.I born and live near 200 meters from coast line in Porto, Portugal. And allways fish the bass by night with only two colours...Red and black...And one thing that i learn with old anciant fishermans is that the bass allways prefere sand by night.. For catch, clean the parasites, and for ,with quit and calm sea in the winter, in the months from December to February make the spaw... You need to find extense areas with sand, and search the little waves in the banks to catch them 10 meters from shore....we never spinning in the rocks at night... The bass are hunting in the mixed sand and litlle rocks around the sand... Its more easy, not so dangerous and the big ones are there... But choose only new moons, with the low cofficient between 0.70 and 0.80 , up of 1 metter to 1,5 m never go..The bass is not so active in low sea cofficiente...Never fish with full moon...The Bass is a lunatic fish....

3 session no fish at all ⛏️🎣 Session number 4 Saturday Brighton beach starts at 3am trying and hoping for the godzilla 😜 Good luck buddy thanks for the shearing and love videos
A bass is a bass and I don’t think their habits, albeit irregular change . The best advice I can give is get out there at low tide and think like a bass. I can’t give away all the secrets but I’d like to encourage you to find your own way it’s so rewarding
its is watching people as your self doing things with such ease itencourages me at my level of just to try harder. but thank you . tom l @@SaltwaterAngler
I’m only just getting into lure fishing and recently noticed that the bass like taking at the surface purely by accident. Could you recommend one or two surface lures please?
Well the patchinko and it’s very reasonable copy called an axia Is very good for half the price, it might be sub surface takes too and there’s 100s if those lures ! Have you watched the best lures video we did there’s an update coming next month
Saltwater Angler I’ve been watching all of your stuff and love the edit. It’s a steep learning curve but I had surface takes yesterday out in the boat. Very exciting.
Lovely day and nice video Matt. Keep up the good work mate. Where and how did you acquire your prawns? My traps work well when other people haven’t helped themselves to them. Rockpooling takes up too much time.
Yea mine got nicked last week. Just a butterfly net works well enough for me low tide in the right rocks doesn’t take long 5 scoops and enough for a few sessions
I have been trying consistently every day to fish for bass for 2 months now and I haven’t got a bite for he been on TH-cam lot and I have all the lures that I need but nothings biting any tips. Thank you from Ireland

Absolutely 👌🏻 it’s called fishing not catching 🎣🐟

Gorgeous place
Didn’t John Darling used to fish there? He was a great bass fisherman RIP John!
He did indeed and stood on those same rocks
Heading our to Gwynedd on the lure 6th July onwards. The waters in Wales are pristine currently.

Thanks for the video, I loved it. Why are you float fishing at 12 feet in 2 feet of water? Many thanks?
Hey Matt, what’s your thoughts about fishing here with lures in the winter?
I wonder if it’s worth coming over from Worthing in January?
Possible but hard work - conditions no conducive and less fish chasing around. I’d save energy and hit them from June hard
Cow gap ! Fished it a few weeks back . Six seals watching me really close in
Seals everywhere !
It's really useful to see how the lures move in the water, can you demonstrate more please thank you 🌱🌱🌱💕🎣
Yes it’s on the list for this year !
Fantastic thank you.

what are the rules at the moment to keep a bass for the pot ???
No more than 2 over 42cm.
@@SaltwaterAngler Thanks!!
I notice that you fishing a low tide is this the best time for sea Bass ???
Not necessarily, its possible to catch them at any state of the tide. Really depends on the venue.

Ask why would there be fish there ? What could they be feeding on. Sounds silly but I think that all the time.
that looks like a lovely spot
Its great isnt it
What length spinning rod would you suggest?
9ft for these sort of marks but depending where and how you fish 7ft can work
brilliant
Goal posts...? Oh yes! 😁
Well spotted, no penalties for you
Is it free to fish here?
Nice bass video
Thanks for watching
Please adjust the sound levels...
