    A similar head rest system is used in other cars. It designed to help with whiplash if u get rear ended. If u get rear ended your back will push against the lumbar support forcing the headrest forward to prevent strain on your neck.

      30-40 years ago before Fiat bought them the car was more reliable however fiat aren’t reliable just check consumer report. Also is your 500 original model which were reliable and my uncle had one. I love starting the 500 with two levers.

      Todd Stephens ok buddy no... my dad drives a Porsche Cayenne S and in the neighborhood behind me there are atleast a few (mainly because from typical driving I’ve seen multiple different Levante’s over time turn out) owners and in my area probably a solid amount. Most wealthy people here (it’s upper middle class to .1% so you kind of have a small variety, but still typically all nice cars) have Porsche SUV’s or Range Rovers. NO rich person buys vehicles to show off to another rich person who can more than likely purchase the exact same vehicle if they so please... your logic is making me laugh rn. Kids at my highschool before graduating last year drove G Wagons/amg varient, Jaguar F Type R/SVR’s, AMG’s, M5’s for some reason (not that anything is wrong with it.. it’s just only 2 M4 owners, but 13 M5’s owners lmao a few wrapped their cars same with the G Wagons idk if anyone wrapped their AMG’s tbh I don’t really look at them because their alright to me), Hellcats, one kid even drives it’s still his a red Lamborghini Huracan that he specced for his 16th birthday (he was a senior while I was a Sophomore I got to know him because we worked out at the same gym that’s also where he parks his car as it’s literally across the street and since it’s $150 a month typically only nice cars park there so I get it). I can go on for days lmao trust me these kids aren’t getting these cars to flex... it’s because their extremely wealthy and can get the vehicle they want. People who buy this SUV aren’t flexing when idk anyone atleast around here who would EVER prefer a Maserati over a Porsche. Everyone knows which is better lmao most have owned one. “Hey guys look at my dads Porsche Cayenne S haha bitches! Oh wait... your dad also owns a Porsche Cayenne S? Oh your dad owns an Audi R8? Or shit alright.” Lmfao I’m getting a C7 Corvette by the end of next month since I finished my freshman year of college am I getting that car because I want to flex? Or am I getting it because I absolutely love the car and we’ve been previous Corvette owners and I’ve always wanted to own one before I go for big brands? Not everyone in this world is trying to flex. For example even the people who shop at Louis Vuitton (you should see how the owners kids dress to school lmao two of them went to my school one is the Forbes child and the other kid his dad was married to one of the Forbes and when they divorced he got... well paid a nice 9 figure check and owns a piece of the mall it’s called Somorset in case you are curious). To someone like you. You’ll see that guy walking out with let’s say 4 Louis Vuitton bags. You’ll see him and think “wow what a showoff” not oh it’s just a wealthy guy going shopping. Now look in his perspective. He’s already shopped at basic stores. He is aware the quality isn’t the same. When your wealthy you have options vs what your budget allows. Here’s another example. If I talk to you about my two BMW’s and the Corvette and the fact that I’ll be selling both my BMW’s this year or early next to purchase a GTR so I can own both you might assume I’m flexing, however if I talk to a wealthy person instead of you they will understand what I’m talking about and if anything be stoked. We all live different lives and we’re all on different levels. No need to assume just because people on higher levels buy cooler shit automatically means their flexing. What’s the point in flexing on rich people? I’d like you to attempt to educate me there because that’s one of the dumbest things I’ve ever heard.

One thing that would take them over the top: you always speak about headlights and how the look, I would be awesome if you analysed how their worked. Maybe a short clip Og driving through cliche corner at night to watch the effects of adaptive headlightsor something like that 😊 for me, how headlights look is important, but how the light everything up, is even more important 😊 keep up the good work 😊

    FCA, Your infotainment system is your greatest asset. This is the fantastic execution of adapting Uconnect to this Maserati. Baffling is why you didn't adapt Uconnect to your Alphas?!!? ...The frameless windows are sweet.
    Out of all the reviewers, you guys offer the most straight-up real reviews. You are obvious enthusiasts so (almost) all cars excite you, as they do me but, gripes are gripes and you lay those out there too. Additionally, you have great EXTERIOR shots while driving too! So many miss this part. Five stars, brothers.

    I've watched this video like 10 times! I love your videos!! This review is very good, and complete and combined with the one made of the Trofeo, it confirms how good this GTS is! I'm craving one of these cars... in my country there's only one unit for sale, a 2019 new one! The exchange rate is so corrosive that you would end up paying like 350,000 USD in purchasing power for this GTS... it's just crazy! Engine, looks, suspension (air and double wishbone), brand, luxury interior feeling (doesn't matter if it feels old, luxury is luxury no matter the time), frameless windows, air and heating front seats, heated rear seats, rear electric curtains, Harman sound. The one here has the 4,000 leather and 4,000 wheels (add 35% of tax)! I hope I can buy the 1/1 available in my country. Saludos!!!

    Glad you pointed out the crank geometry right away, since it won't be as big an issue as people think when they stop using the Rari engines and put HEMIs in them

    • @redlion145
      @redlion145 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hemi architecture requires just an absolutely massive block and head though. That's why they're not in anything except oversized Rams and oversized Challengers. Any car that can handle a corner can't handle the dimensions (or indeed the weight) of a Hemi. Somehow I doubt they'll make the same numbers using a Hemi. It'll weigh more, or it won't have the torque curve, or especially not the efficiency of the Ferrari built block. And Ferrari isn't exactly known for efficiency in the first place.
      Just the fact that the crank setup is similar doesn't get around the inherent design limitations of the Hemi engine.

    The "headrest affecting the lumbar" is a safety thing, if there's an accident scenario where you're suddenly pushed back your body being pushed into the seat pops the headrest forward in an attempt to prevent your neck from snapping back to much. It's something Volvo pioneered but now many cars do it, even my old Fit seats did that.

    Just a heads up, the headrest thing is for the whiplash seats. If you get hit in the rear of the car, your back pushes on the lumbar and the headrest bends forward to help your head/neck.

    The headrests are like that for rear-crash protection. When your body is pushed back into the seat, the headrests are thrust forward to keep your spine aligned in the event of an accident. It’s called an active head restraint!

    I don't know.. I really want to like Maserati, but there isn't enough for me to like. I think for cars like these, looks/aesthetic is important, and as soon as I see the headlights I'm not in awe. Unfortunately Maserati really isn't for me. One time I was working at a hospital and I was crossing the campus, and a Maserati GT rolled on by a high pedestrian traffic area and the rumble of the engine brightened up my day. It sounded amazing going 5 mph.

    • @Jojo21453
      @Jojo21453 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@justinjones1644 I understand, but If Maserati was more independent from FCA, same with Alfa, I would highly doubt that they could price them competitive to the other brands in the market. The whole concept of having the different Brands under one big umbrella is, at least as far as I know, to deliver Cars with very different Brand images to cater to all the markets, while keeping the costs lower, by sharing lots ans lots of parts, not just drivetrain and suspension, but also all the small interior bits and pieces like window switches...
      And even if the interior of the new Levante looks like it has been ripped out od a Chrysler 200 with some aluminium accents spit on it, I would still rather take that than either not being able to buy Alfas ans Maseratis at all or them making their own most likely pretty crappy interior.
      Anyhow, of course I would, like you, prefer if they there could be more diverse car companies, but it just seems that the market today is so competitive, that there is no room for such companies like that. Sadly.
