The one BIG issue with the HPI SCT Jumpshots, is that steering linkage popping off at the lightest of impact. I love my JUMPSHOT flux, and usually those types of linkages hold up pretty well to reasonable impacts, but not on the HPI trucks. You can shout those linkages off.
@@Rek_Rc i was very surprised when it did pop off as i couldnt imagine that the whole link would pop off on the slightest impact on the left side😲. Might need to look into a different solution👍🏻🫡
@@techspac3 I was actually thinking of exploring different options as well because I absolutely love the truck as a whole, and they handle like race trucks almost. I even considered retro fitting something off a totally different RC on mine.
Worth mentioning to peopke that it's possible to get the HPI in a brushless version (called "Flux") for a price that is still very comparable to the other two brushed cars. It's a lovely, smooth, 40mph+ machine. I loved mine so much I bought a second one in a different body colour. I think it's the best value brushless 1/10th 2WD you can get. As far as the top suspension links popping off, I've had that happen just a few times but they are very easy to pop back on. I've sinced added some elastic bands to add some downward retaining force and not had any issue since. Good video dude. Not enough people do comparison videos like this 👍
@@austinrhubarb thanks for the info mate im pretty sure that will help someone with the link pop off issue. Im not a massive fan to be honest and sold my HPI this week. Also sold the Senton. Kept the FURY for my youngest son. Replaced the ball bearings, 12t motor, servo and put a fan on the motor. What a car it is now. Thanks for the watch mate👍🏻
Awesome video bra! Great 2wd comparison. Got the Fury for fatherday but havent taken it out yet, going straight into a brushless conversion. Keep up the great content china!
Fantastic bashing and comparison, dude! 😃 Pretty weird the issue with the first one... I'd probably think about cutting the connectors for it and replacing them with holes and screws. 😬 Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
@@MCsCreations hey mate appreciate that! Yeah its weird...i didnt expect that from the truck from that small jump. Same to you and your fam that side💪🏼
This video shows what i feared about the Arrma Fury: it doesn't have enough rear grip to handle on loose surfaces. Mid-motor 2wd only works on prepped tracks with one-run race tires. I will stick with rear motor, I guess.
I've been watching videos of the Fury, plan on getting me one. Loved the two jumps you made with the Fury - that barrel roll .. looked like something from a TV show .. and the one where it landed and rolled in between the ramps. They looked nice jumping downhill, that HPI did better though on the up jumping.
WHOO-HOO.!!! I'm in time for your video again.! 😉 😉 I own the HPI Jumpshot & those front links constantly pop off, I've replaced mine with the link ends that go all the way through & it's golden.! I also own the Senton Boost, but I've made mine 4X4, it's a fantastic truck.! It really needs to be 4X4..! And as of last week I also own a Gorgon, unfortunately the body didn't last long but I've cut down the rear of a 1/10 Big Rock bodyshell & used the Big Rock body posts, they slot straight into the Gorgon & you can even use the long clips so it's still easy to remove. All have been converted to brushless with 3660, 3900kv Surpass motors & Hobbywing WP-SC8 ESCs. I'm going to say, even though I've not even driven it yet, the Fury is the best of the three.! Judging by how good the Gorgon is & how much I love short course trucks, the Fury is going to be fantastic.! I'll definitely be getting myself ASAP.!! @@gillian9178 Oh, they were just cheap ones I got off Ebay. A pack of "10 M3 rod ends", they cost around £4. They're black & have a gold coloured metal ball in them. You can get metal or plastic ones, the metal ones are going to be stronger & only slightly more expensive. The plastic ones have been good so far though, but they will break eventually. You can use any rod ends really. You might need to remove the pivot ball from the car's steering knuckle. Just put an M3 dome/button head screw through the rod end & into the steering knuckle.
