Thanks for the review. I've had a bottle on the shelf but never cracked it open. I think it will remain a dust collector. It's currently around $35 here in Southern California.
Bought a couple of bottles a few months ago 41.00 bucks and used it for a warm up pour. One is gone and the other will be a gift and I probably won’t replace them.
I bought 3 of these from a local small liquor store here in Mi.about 3 years ago before it went missing. Paid 75 bucks out the door for all 3 couldn’t pass it up.👍
I purchased mine earlier this year for, maybe 35 dollars? I had never had it. It's good for what it is. What this is fantastic for is letting someone try bourbon who doesn't drink bourbon.
I picked up one of these Haskell's for $35 and was pretty disappointed. I'd buy an Elijah Craig Small Batch over anything that comes out on the Evan Williams label. It has the qualities of a good Heaven Hill product but is thin and watered down. I disagree with your opinion on being watered down, it is very watered down. I think that strong oak note comes out because it is so watered down.
It was definitely proofed down too much. I think the reason it didn't come across as watery as other low proof bourbons for me was the oak Note. I'd love to see them release a 100 proof of this. Cheers!

Good deal!
Also, "cask strength bangers" should be a t shirt of some sort!
I might have do that!
Bought my bottle for $32. I won't replace it. 'Nuff said. Cheers!
Cheers!
It went away in ohio for a while, but it is been back.
Cheers 🍻
Cheers!
It is much better at $36 than the $52 it was when only available in KY. 🥃
Oh damn! I didn't know they were charging that much!!!

Agreed!
Just picked up the 2016 bottle for $32 in Jersey.
39.99 in VA abc
If it were $25, I’m all over it. Maybe even $30. $35 puts it above things like 1792 Small Batch that I would rather buy.
Totally agree!
I bought 3 at $30 per bottle.

You gambled with a $35 single barrel and lost.

Not a proof I’m looking for. If it was 45-50abv I’d get it but at this proof it’s a pass.
This would be a banger at 100 proof!
