Heck yeah! I saw theTitanomachia Moderoid Edelstein II posted on their twitter last week and I'm FULLY on board the hype train for it!
Definitely excited to check out the mecha!
This kit looks awesome, to me it gives off a Knight Saber, from Bubblegum Crisis/Crash (yes I am that old), vibe with the shoulder cannons on the back looking like boosters
Talking about Knight Sabers, I can so see Bandai using their 30 Minute Missions and Sisters techniques to make them. I assume licensing would be the main hurdle

That carbon fibre textured plastic looks incredible, something I don't think I've seen on a Bandai kit before 🤔

dope kit, the scale is nice. question. how would you do some panel lining on a model thats all black like this one?
In this case it will follow what second colour accent for the kits, in this case I think silver panel line si quite decent option followed by metalic blue.
Realistically, you don’t. You’d wanna paint it in a very dark grey that’s almost black, and then you can do your lining in black. It’ll still be very subtle. Another way to show the detail would be dry brushing or chipping if you wanted it to appear slightly weathered
This is Kotobukiya trying to make like Bandai’s figurise kits, it’s not bad looking but the eyeless face plate though🧐I’m not willing to stick eye decals myself.
The articulation looks amazing and the overall quality seems pretty damn high, but oof is that price rough and the design very plain overall.
Sure the close up detail is great but how often are you realistically going to be seeing that vs. just a mass of black on your shelf?
The price tag is a bit of a question mark for me. So I understand your concern

what scale is it/how tall? it looks like its closer to 1/10 than 1/12, but hard to say
It’s technically 1/12 and the head seems that way, but it’s definitely taller than the standard 1/12 Megami Device
@@ZakuAurelius Makes sense, usually you'll find male characters being depicted as tall (and the armour definitively boosts that), tho this fact kinda makes that 8000 yen price point much harder to swallow...

Nice but honestly not worth the price tag at all. If it wasn't Naoki's work it probably would've been much much cheaper for what it is.
8k yen or almost 80 dollar... hard pass...
Its on par with resin kit of same detail & strength
So think of this as limited item & limited release
not meant for popularity, but supporting NAOKI
8000 yen is about 54 bucks, not 80
That price is only for if you can get it in Japan for MSRP. Overseas it’s going to be closer to the $80 after logistics and all that

True, if you're buying from a US retailer it'll end up being around 90 dollars including an average of 10 for shipping, but most Japanese stores already have it well under MSRP at 6600. Even factoring in the more expensive shipping options like DHL or FedEx and assuming that you're shipping this kit by itself with nothing else to offset the cost, it'll still be a nice chunk under 70 and you'll get it next week and not next month*. (*Maybe)
Not that the bubble is going to last forever, but it's hard to ignore getting things cheaper and faster while the JPY is trending so low!
